Shared this marvelous space with some truly beautiful people today. Who knew I could draw...I can't; but nevertheless, Aimee and the entire staff were extremelywarm and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed myself and cant wait to come back. Show up, open your mind, heart, and soul and experience art...

Lovely museum all about different pieces of drawn art. Not a huge museum but had 3 exhibits highlighting different artists all with very different styles each unique and special in their own way. Easily spend 1-2 hours strolling around. FREE admission! Clean spacious bathrooms.

A fantastic free entry gallery and exhibition space in Soho that exhibits a wide variety of works from artists of all over. The galleries are wide and spacious with a small area in the basement for extra viewing as well as along a hallway that circles back up around towards the entrance. They also have a cool fancy modern toilet. I thought that was worth showing. The lobby contains a small stationary and book shop similar to any of your museums. Highly recommend popping in to see what new exhibits they offer if you’re ever wandering around the area. *Also be aware the doors are heavy so it may seem as they’re closed but require you to put your back into it.

The Drawing Center always has interesting and thought-provoking exhibitions. I particularly enjoyed the exhibition "Xiyadie: Queer Cut Utopias" with elaborate and highly decorative paper cuts focusing on queer desire. And the current show on Stephane Mandelbaum is breathtaking.

While known as a venue for exhibiting drawings, The Drawing Center serves secondarily as a space for greater learning and education. The interior itself is warm and welcoming, and at the time of my visit, was hosting a workshop while featuring an exhibit that communicates current social issues and community outreach. Check out the website for program schedule, and come in for momentary respite!

This place suggests a museum devoted mainly to drawing or similar styles of art. There is a little bit of that, perhaps the first third has drawings framed along the walls. The rest appears to be exhibitions related to Kahlil Gibran in particular, who was a writer from the twentieth century. The exhibit included his art, letters, and books. I didn't quite get how that related to the theme. The entire visit took about two hours.

I deeply enjoyed the visit to the free gallery. While the gallery focuses on drawings, all sorts of media are on exhibit. Online registration is simple and The Drawing Center staff are friendly. Viewing the works of dozens of artists was inspiring, and the gallery is spacious without being overwhelming. Great place for an afternoon exploration of art

This place offer a grest space for those seeking the exhibition of historic and contemporary drawing. This place offer great classes, workshops, along with other non for profit programs. I recommend this place for those looking into drawing to a more in depth extent. I also recommend teachers and other Educational groups to schedule one of their program. This is of great benefit for childrens.

Great museum all about unique pieces. Not the biggest museum. My favorites pieces were from Stephane Mandelbaum . Easily could spend hours in here . The admission was free as well

Interesting exhibits - good curation/explanations. Not a large space, donation for entry optional can accommodate all budgets. Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art is on the next block.

Went here on weekdays, availed the gen ad. Luckily there's no line so that's a plus and the crew there are very accommodating, they offered to take a picture of us lots of time. There's 6 different rooms with different sceneries where you can take a creative picture and strike a pose.

One of the best art places in NYC. The main gallery is not usually not most interesting. Check out the second room in the back, and then the lower gallery down the stairs. Real gems there. And currently free entrance, which for New York, is a real gift.

Small gallery showcasing drawing as an art form across many cultures. The place wasn't crowded on the weekend of our visit. Admission is free.

This is an exquisite gallery. The David Hammons show was incredibly important, innovative (even 50 years later) and beautiful, and we're grateful to the Drawing Center for exhibiting his work!
