We visited here in December 2021. The views of the statue, Jersey and NYC are amazing! Beautiful sunset over the water. Park was clean, people were at the playground. There was even a family barbecuing there. Had a great time. Place was clean too! Traffic getting to and from our hotel in Long Island....well, that's another story!

Love what they have done with the new World Trade Center complex with this lovely park and the Anne Frank tree they planted on her birthday in 2017 and the sphere that stood between the original Twin Towers in Austin Tobin Plaza. Almost 20 years after the tragic attacks on September 11, 2001, they have done an incredible job rebuilding the space. And the new building for St. Nicolas church when completed I’m sure will be amazing

Excellent ferry service with Statue Cruises then a very informative (free with ticket) audio tour around the Island (with a kids friendly version as well). If you want to go to the top of the Crown book at least two months in advance, well worth it but not for the faint hearted. Amazing views of downtown Manhattan! Excellent morning out! All Island staff really helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

Sehr schön angelegter Park mit den 2 Pools zur Erinnerung an den 11.9.2001. Sehr spezielle Atmosphäre. Auf jeden Fall ein Muss für New York Besucher.

Liberty Park is so lovely, this park is a must-see when you visit Lower Manhattan! This space houses the iconic Koenig Sphere and the De Oppresso Liber (the latter of which is pictured here). Standing within Liberty Park, you’ll also experience amazing views from this park’s raised platform, particularly of the 9/11 Memorial fountains and the skyscrapers surrounding the park, including One World Trade Center + the Oculus Center.

Great place to walk and sit during a work break to catch a breather. Doesn't get too crowded like the monument area.

The Sphere 25 feet high cast from 52 bronze segment. After d 9/11 attack, the symbolic masterpiece was dug out the rubble now permanently located in Liberty park at the World Trade Center, NYC. Liberty park is a fantastic place for taking a long walk and a great tourist attraction with a picturesque view of the statue of liberty and the Ferry.

Come sit and resonate on the tragedy of evil humans and remember the brave souls that gave their all for the freedom we now enjoy. Its a great place to come and ponder on how as a country we progressed and digressed. A trip to NYC is incomplete without a visit here.

Free event to walk the park and see Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. Can bring your own picnic if you want. Beautiful park with lots of area for walking and biking trails. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of signage indicating where you are in relation to the ferry or other areas of the park.

The park which is right next to the memorial is actually a much more contemplative site as it is away from the hustle and bustle and it actually has elements taken from the site. There is plenty of seating to rest, relax and maybe have lunch. Recommended.

It's absolutely stunning!!! Honoring what was before and surrounded by what is new. It's very hard to get it all in, so please visit when you have time. Take the time to read the description of all you see. Everything has meaning here.

A very respectful solemn place. The flowing waterfall signifies peace & calm.

It's amazing. It's also very somber...and it should be. This is not a place to smile with taking selfies if front of the pools...yet you will see tons of people doing this. Try not to let it ruin your visit...you just have to remind yourself, it's the human condition of today's FOMO crowd and it can't really be helped... It was very crowded on the day we went...Friday, Dec. 30th...but it didn't take much away from the experience. There are volunteers in uniform that are throughout the park that will tell you anything you want to know. Highly recommend visiting and experiencing this place for yourself.

The weather was cold but it's November,2020. If you want to go to the crown make reservations at least a month or two ahead, but remember there are no refunds.

A really beautiful park with great meaning. I really like how this place looks and feels, it is like a small oasis in a desert for me. The only thing that's a bit odd for me is that Quatar helped to build a greek orthodox church.

A beautiful, raised park with great views of the world trade center memorial. A great place to get a respectful picture of the grounds and the Freedom Tower.

Must visit anyway. Artistic water landmarks. Animal conservation sculptures great for photos. Buildings artistic.

The most peaceful place in New York. It's hard to find a quiet place here in this massive city, so I was quietly surprised when I found this place after wandering around the World Trace Centre area. The area has a nice, relaxing vibe to it with plenty of trees and bushes accompanied by lots of seating; perfect for sitting out and reading or drawing and catching a break from the busyness for a while

Simply put, locals and tourists alike will always have a need to rest and take in the great urban atmosphere. Liberty Park offers such a respite. Never forget, public spaces can be a great escape from the doldrums of rapid growth and expansion of real estate. Such a rush to build ivory towers that will stay empty in this post-Pandemic economy. Working folks hiding behind digital domains. Be it good weather or bad, having a quick lunch or a long chat with friends, Liberty Park is a great place to do it all.

Sadly this was the closest we could get. I'm not sure if it was because of Covid or the time of day (around 5:00PM). I was telling my friend who had never been there about the survivor tree. And so happy to sit it beginning to blossom ahead of the others. ❤🌳

This beautiful sight almost had me in tears. From this point, you have a perfect view of the new World Trade Center Complex. Koenig's "The Sphere", (which is the black and gold globe that was displayed in Austin J. Tobin Plaza prior to that fateful day in 2001) is also displayed here in its raw and deformed condition. If you look closely at it, you can even see some small pieces of debris that never came off after all these years. Quite the sight to see.
