Nice place to visit. They haven’t been allowing people to walk up yet, but still worth a visit. You can take some amazing pictures here from the core. No parking— come on foot. Bathrooms and food are located in the nearby Hudson Yards mall if needed. No entry fee needed. Lines move fast. Definitely worth a stop to see at least once.

Went to check it out for New Years. The Christmas decorations around the vessel and mall are unreal. It’s so beautifully done. The vessel is still closed to climb it but you are able to still stroll through the middle of it. Got to take some pretty great pictures.

A must go place in NYC! I enjoy visiting the Vessel every single time I am in the area. Here are some reasons why… To admire a lovely piece of art! Great views from the Vessel, even if you don’t get to go to the top. There is a lot to do in its surroundings like walk the skyline, go the mall, enjoy the nice views. Tip: the sunsets are perfect! Sometimes they play movies or you can just relax in one of their long chairs. Food is amazing!!! Check out Little Spain is just around the corner. And it’s super easy to get there by car or train, Hudson Yards! Remember that Sundays street parking is free! That’s what I do.

Cannot take the steps up pending renovations. Still a sight to behold on ground level. Also, free at present. Previously cost $30 to walk the steps. Interesting to experience.

Even though the attraction is currently closed me and my Son certainly still enjoyed our visit. The Hudson Yards certainly is unique and so diverse, the Vessel certainly stood out for me. Maybe next time, I’ll get to see her close up and see the views of the river she has to offer. Thanks for having us

The Vessel at Hudson Yards is an architectural masterpiece that truly stands out in the heart of Manhattan. As soon as you approach the structure, you are instantly captivated by its unique and intricate design. The Vessel is a honeycomb-like structure consisting of 154 interconnected staircases and 80 landings. It stands at a breathtaking 150 feet tall and offers visitors the opportunity to climb its various platforms and explore the surrounding neighborhood from a different perspective. One of the highlights of the experience is the magnificent views you get as you ascend the staircases. You can see the entire Hudson Yards complex, the Hudson River, and even glimpse the iconic skyline of New York City. The open-air design allows for a refreshing breeze, making the climb even more enjoyable. What sets the Vessel apart from other tourist attractions is the interactivity it offers. Visitors can easily spend hours exploring the structure, taking pictures, and enjoying the ambiance. The staircases are not just a means of getting from one point to another; they are a work of art themselves. The geometric patterns and the play of light and shadow create a visually stunning experience. Another aspect that deserves praise is the efficiency of the operation. Despite its popularity, there is a well-managed system in place to control the number of visitors on the structure at any given time. This ensures that everyone gets to enjoy the Vessel without it feeling overcrowded. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing assistance and guidance throughout the visit. The Vessel also serves as a hub for community events and performances, adding an extra layer of charm to the experience. Whether it's live music, art exhibitions, or cultural showcases, there is always something happening at the Vessel. Overall, visiting the Vessel at Hudson Yards is an unforgettable experience. It combines stunning architecture, breathtaking views, and interactivity in a way that appeals to both locals and tourists. Whether you are a lover of art, architecture, or simply want a unique perspective of New York City, the Vessel should definitely be on your must-visit list.

Although it looks cool and is definitely different to other things around it. It serves no other purpose other than staring at it. You cannot go up it because of some individuals that jumped off. It has been closed for quite a while and I do not know if they have serious plans to try and reopen it. Cool but useless unlike most buildings in New York.

Really nice. A new landmark up to NYC standards. Quite windy even at ground level. I found it cery nice that you can take the High Line and just walk to Chelsea

Finally!! I’ve experienced the Amazing Vessel in person! Boy what a treat, it’s absolutely phenomenal in every way. Though we still can’t go up, we can enter the bottom part of the vessel look up & behold the architectural beauty. It can be slightly crowded assuming the time you arrive, I was there at 10:30am, & it was tight. Highly recommend visiting with family & friends before 10am. Lastly I love that there’s seating options available outside the vessel.

One unique building that tourists and locals should come visit. The downside though is that, no one is allowed to go upstairs due to suicides that happened in the past. Great background to your photo ops!

This building is amazing 👏🏼 Bravo to the architect 👍🏼 It was closed when we were there. But we enjoy the backyard movie and food trucks are good. FYI bring your own water $5for small bottle water there😜 THE SHOP the high end mall below THE EDGE building across from the vessel very nice area. No homeless when we were there. The HUDSON Station definitely one of the iconic inside too👍🏽

Amazing architecture. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to walk up anymore. It is nice to see this structure up close. There is an adjacent shopping mall and there is a nearby path which is an elevated path that takes you across many streets in Manhattan without having to cross pedestrian crossings.

This place is definitely on a list of must sees when you come to NYC! My girlfriend and I visited on a weekend and it was crowded as expected. However, the line moved pretty quick and the people that work there were good at directing the flow of traffic. There are bathrooms nearby in the mall across the street and a few food and drink vendors close by.

Despite what’s been happening lately, this is a really nice place to spend a summer afternoon/evening. I have been there multiple times and I must say it gives you a good vibe. You can walk around the neighborhood and also explore other beautiful places to pass a perfect evening. There's a pier not so far from there and I would recommend going there as well.

Last Thursday was my 1st time down at Hudson Yards and seeing The Vessel. I live way uptown and haven't been traveling that far for a long time for many reasons. My mouth fell open when I saw it. At night the building was lit in a way that was just stunning! I'm not sure if you can enter during the day anymore.

It was a fun place to visit when they let people go up! Fortunately was able to do it a few years ago! Now you can only go to the ground floor and take pics! Definitely a cool structure to look out from outside too!

This is definitely a go-to place if you are visiting NY! It's an extraordinary architecture. I loved being there. The atmosphere was wonderful. There was music, people enjoying their afternoon. A wonderful sight in this busy city.

Looks interesting, but unfortunately they had the upper levels closed and you could only go into the base. They have free concerts in the summer in the plaza by the vessel and there is some nice shaded seating around the perimeter too. Close to the highline and shopping and restaurants in the Hudson Yards and Edge observation deck.

Although, the Vessel is temporarily closed we were able to enjoy it. We were able to take some nice pictures. We were able to wait about 10 minutes in line to get into the ground level. We got in and took a few quick pictures. Make sure you layer up because it gets very cold during the winter months.

I was lucky to be here between the problems… it was a lovely experience and an amazing view, however mental health is more important. There should be a way to allow a balance between safety and tourism. But it costs money, so no more free tickets. It’s a price worth paying to keep people safe before allowing others to experience the attraction as it was intended. Stay safe, everyone.

Was lucky enough to visit the vessel before it closed down. Gotta say the views are amazing and the structure is an architectural masterpiece. Amazing photo ops from different angles and levels. Best time to visit is during the Holidays where the whole structure is lit and Hudson Yards is decorated. Will be back hopefully once it opens back.

One of the most beautiful structures in New York! It's mesmerizing from all angles and incredibly beautiful to look at. Due to incidents one can't go up anymore and feel the artistic view it was designed for but I feel it still deserves a whole lot more love. I love and at the same time envy the NYC residents for getting such beautiful things to visit around. Highly recommended. Plus it's right next to the high line (another one of my favourites)!

Very beautiful structure and new addition to Manhattan, NY. I wish they re open it soon to climb up. The Street is very busy near by. Don't try to Drive around it. It takes 2 hours just to cross half male in weekend. But a place to spend good time.

I hope that the Vessel opens soon, coming back with more safer precautions because I would love to revisit. When I first visited, (which was around 2 years ago), my family loved it! Despite that day being a rainy day, the structure was very beautiful, and we had a lot of fun.

Take the 7 train to the Hudson yards. Really cool experience to see this structure up close. Tho it wasn't open for visitors then. Check the website for opening times. Nearby is a nice indoor mall with several floors of shops. Nice to visit winter time with the wonderland lights.

Incredible stop! The different views of the city were incredible!! My brother and I probably took about 200+ photos while there, and we were able to get a nice walk in! It has ADA accommodations for those who can’t do stairs. And, for just $10 per person, you can get a view of the city that’s postcard worthy. This place was incredible. As my brother said, “the best $10 I’ve ever spent”

the Vessel is an architectural marvel that offers an unmatched experience. While the inability to go upstairs is unfortunate, the impact and significance of the structure cannot be diminished. It stands as a testament to human creativity and serves as a gathering place for the community. The Vessel continues to inspire and captivate visitors, leaving a lasting impression that extends far beyond its physical accessibility.

This was one of my favorite places during my stay in Manhattan. I'm so thankful a friend recommended it. I actually liked that it was closed so no one was walking on it. Made for some gorgeous pictures! You can still go right up to it, and they had a farmer's Market on Tuesday and Thursday plus a fun mural and nice tables and chairs in both the sun and the shade. One day there was even Jenga on one of the tables. I was told that when it's open, you need to book your ticket months in advance.

It's a beautiful place especially for the holidays, lots of lights. It's a pity; no one can go up the vessel anymore. At the time we were there, there were not that many people, so it felt just a bit safer. Parking was no problem, but in a couple of blocks away. It's clean - someone is always cleaning something. The personnel were very polite at the shops area.

Excellent addition to NYC attractions. This place is definitely unique and an architectural masterpiece. People say it is even more impressive from inside. Unfortunately they had to temporarily shut it down due to several jumping accidents and they are now trying to figure out a way to increase the safety. Still worth the visit especially for photography fans.

The Vessel is a very ambitious project that’s has spectacular architecture worth seeing up close. Unfortunately by the time I saw it, it had been closed for a while due to tragic reasons. It’s set to reopen safely later this month and hopefully it remains. I got to walk inside it on the first floor and look up, but walking through the floors would have been really cool. Pairs great with a walk from the high line, and there are plenty of things to eat, see and do nearby.

Amazing place! The building is really cool, and the surroundings are also pretty cool and decorated ( benches, and trees and lights everywhere). At the time being, climbing up the building is not allowed, but you can get inside just on the base of the building, which offers a pretty amazing view! The staff working on the entrance of the building were really nice too!

The Vessel is indeed worth the visit! I recommend you to walk the high line from the start nearest to Little Island and make your way to the Vessel, it's seems somewhat rewarding when u make it there! In terms of transportation, the Hudson Yards Station is a stone throw away so no worries there. Additionally, when I visited in July 2023 persons were not allowed to make their way up.

When I arrived in NYC, this is the very first thing that captured my eyes. I just accidentally bumped into this while looking for the subway. Well, I should say my feet always leads me to beautiful places.

The Vessel is one of the new city attractions in NYC located in the Hudson Yards development. You could get killer views from the top level of the Hudson River and NYC skyscrapers. It used to be free to get in but now there is a small fee. Unfortunately, it is closed for visitors at the moment, because some people have committed suicide jumping off from there 😢 I still highly recommend going there and enjoy the outdoors area and the arquitectural wonders around

Beautiful area, shops, parks and restaurants , near waterfront. Unfortunately you cannot go up the Vessel anymore missing the chance to take scenic pictures of the water and city at a high level due to the unfortunate incidents that occurred maybe one day hopefully.

  • 5/5 Robert H. 2 years ago on Google
It's free but you need your ticket just to control the amount of people climbing the structure. Another thing to keep in mind is that you can't go in alone. You need at least one more person. Now I heard there's like a group of singles that can get together and or partnered up in any number to go in. In order to get to the structure you can take the 7 which is the end of the line or start depending if going or coming from the train station. Once you get out you can follow the signs or most likely just follow the crowd since this is one of the big stars of the area. The area is perfect for a nice Sunday. You have the theatre shed next door. The mall. The edge. Many many good quality restaurants. The high line.

I visited here back in the summer of 2019 and it was a marvel staring at it from the bottom. This area, Hudson Yards, is being developed in both financial and entertainment. You can go here with the 7 train. We walked all the way to the top and the view of the Hudson River and Hudson Yard was stunning. It was a bit windy that day but we need the breeze in the hot sun. The elevator was only used for people with disabilities and elderly. It’s sad that this is currently closed due to strings of suicides that happened.

Cool spot to visit if your around NYC for a trip or nearby! Great to come around holiday / Christmas season as the mall next to it, is all lit up with Christmas decor and lights. You can take some amazing pics with your friends & family! Great scenery! :D

This is such a beautiful attraction! we were not able to go up because it was closed but will def go back and try to! amazing background for pics. There are a few food trucks next to it too so you can enjoy a snack!

  • 5/5 Davis D. J. 2 years ago on Google
Art and tragedy. Watched The Vessel going up, mostly from the river. In fact, many of its individual pieces came ashore along the Westside Hwy during midnight lifts from barges onto flatbeds between Piers 86 (USS Intrepid) and Pier 84 during 2017 and 2018 (see photos of pieces on barges). If the suicides abate and the river view is not closed off by additional development it will remain an iconic, interesting spot. W/o that view, visitors will just be able to stare upward at the encircling skyscrapers.

  • 5/5 Prajna S. 2 years ago on Google
The Vessel is like nothing I have seen before! This unique architecture is a fun addition to the Hudson Yards. I love it. The whole atmosphere at Hudson Yards is different from the rest of the city. I love everything about the Hudson yards and climbing the Vessel is something everyone should try. Its sad that its temporarily closed due to multiple suicides.
