Elizabeth Street Garden is a gem of garden in NoLita. the eclectic space is filled with outdoor art and architectural pieces. the vibe is peaceful in this green space. Athe plants and trees are well manicured. there is amount of seating spaced out. the garden is open year during the week and weekend round just check their website for hours. great spot to grab a cup of coffee and read outside or people watch or catch up with a friend. the garden, itself, has the intimate ambiance despite being outside. if you’re south of Houston St then it’s definitely worth a stop for a respite or simply pictures. perfect place to escape the din of the city and put down your phone to take a breath.

A small but beautiful garden in the midst of the hustle and grind of Soho. Statues stay watch in this serene escape from the craziness that the city brings. You can immediately feel a sense of calm as you pass through the gates into this little beautiful getaway. There is seating spattered throughout the park and it is a beautiful place just to sit, sip a coffee and get lost in a daydream.

I love this garden, i love to sit there and talk to people from the neighborhood. I love the very social way this garden has been designed, the only thing that I don’t like are the volunteers there who most of the time are profiling people getting in and give an attitude. I unfortunately now ignore them most of the time over having a discussion with them. They must contribute in a good way to what the garden needs I’m sure but the attitude they are serving is absolutely out of the point.

Small and cozy gardens with seating options. Sculptures all around you and other artifacts. Amazingly curated spaces.

Such a beautiful place. It feels like you are in another place as you walk amongst the different statues and flowers. They are trying to save this Community Garden from being eradicated because of construction. Not only should it be saved but it should be landmarked.

Great day to settle in to a groovin DJ set and shady breeze. I hope they do more of this. Even without the music it’s always nice to get out of the shopping mayhem. The garden is pretty well set up for a little privacy or a little social scene.

Great hidden place to walk and sit, especially with good weather. Apparently the city is trying to tear it down to develop a building.

Hidden gem, I discovered by accident when I was walking to the Piers… We need to protect this park at all cost!! Many people reading, painting or just talking in a slow voice to not disturb… it is just amazing. Some days there are people playing music! I can describe how beautiful it is in words and if you think in pictures it looks amazing in person is even better! It is like an English park with “ruins” and statues. The way the light hits the park, the feeling of peace and relaxing is indescribable. It is really close to Soho so every time I go there I pass a lot of my afternoon and then I go to a coffee shop at Soho to end my day, highly recommended 😊💚

Gorgeous community garden and courtyard in the middle of busy Soho. A beautiful little break inside a bustling city. Great place to stop and eat after grabbing a hero at Parisi or pizza from prince st. Make sure to donate as there are corporations gunning for it to be torn down and made into apartments! That would be a big shame!

Lovely little neighborhood garden but not enough seats. People hog the seats for hours. You can come in and look around but it’s hard for everyone to sit and enjoy the beauty. A nice idea though.

What a lovely surprise. Nestled between big buildings and busy streets. A calm, relaxing sanctuary open to anyone who would like to rest their weary feet, busy mind and simply enjoy the beauty of the garden. A pleasant surprise.

Precious little hidden sculpture park in the Soho - Nolita area. It’s free and open to the public. Great place to relax and enjoy some ice cream from nearby Milk Bar or Morgenstern’s.

It's gorgeous. Absolutely beautiful esp with all the fall leaves covering the ground! Theres tons of bushes and little walls hiding away tables and chairs in little corners. It's very quiet besides the wind chimes making some soft background noise. I wish I lived closer to here and I hope the city doesn't destroy this beautiful public space

A piece of frozen time tucked away in soho. Beautiful garden eclectically decorated with remnants from the past, a refreshing change from the modern and urban architecture of the city. Makes for a lovely getaway from the hustle and bustle of it all. Free and open to the public but accepts donations.

Why is it that the city only takes spaces where others have spent time and energy on bc the city left it abandoned? The Bronx never gets shined on and when it does it costs the residents more than what is being offered. To use housing for the elderly against a garden which is needed all over this city is a disgrace!! We need more food gardens and green space. I wish them all the best.

Let me explain my 1 star review (and disagree a bit with the response). I'd visited your garden before and enjoyed it, but unfortunately my latest experience was upsetting. The day I was visiting it wasn't raining and yet it didn't open on time (it wasn't closed, just opened late). I also wasn't planning a commercial shoot (a few shots on a film camera without any other equipment is all I wanted), but the lady opening the garden said any (!) photography is prohibited unless you'd been granted a permission. Honestly I looked through your website beforehand and didn't find any information concerning photography. Maybe I wasn't looking thoroughly enough, but I also wasn't ready to be turned down at that moment, also after waiting for the garden to open.
