Top dive bar in Manhattan! Not to be pretentious here but on Google I'm top 1% of dive bar reviewers in the United States and this place absolutely rocked my boat! Prices are like what you would expect to pay in Arkansas lol. This bar has an amazing jukebox! Pretty much anything anyone plays is gold. Great prices, selection, service and vibe. There is so much history on the walls with all the photos and signed boxing memorabilia. If you are a boxing fan this is a must to visit! It's amazing. Hands down this place is a relic and is an amazing experience.

One of the cheapest bar in Manhattan, but it's good too. Drinks are nice according to the price. If you are a boxing fan then you have to visit this place. A lot of pictures of boxing legends. It's pretty crowded on weekends so if you want a table then you need to get here early. Around 8 for a table i guess. Staff is friendly and nice. Walking distance from times square.

I wish I could give Jimmy’s a better review. After enjoying the atmosphere and couple beers with friends our experience quickly changed watching a young, entitled bartenders interaction with another customer. The other customer was a foreigner and after paying cash for his bill was unsure about the tipping process. The bartender, who had been employed there for only a few months, demanded “you must tip me now.” I interjected hoping to give a fuller understanding of tipping “when and if you tip it is at your discretion dependent on the service received.” She was angry with me and demanded her tip then and told me to stay out of her interactions with other customers. I believe in tipping and understand it is a large portion of a bartenders salary but also believe it should be dependent on the quality of service provided. I have never seen someone demand a tip before, which actually defies the definition of a gratuity: something given voluntarily beyond obligation. I don’t think Jimmy would tolerate such rude and entitled behavior out of his employees.

Beyond happy this place is back open after Covid and the horrible passing of the Legend himself, Jimmy. Grateful to have been back again in June 2022! Cheap drinks, good music, great company!

Jimmy's Corner is a true gem just off of Times Square and I hope its character never changes! We were in the City for a day during December 2023 and as we were walking around we stumbled upon the bar and my fiancée said how her dad used to frequent the bar in his younger days so we said why don't we take a load off and have a drink! The Staff: Sadly Jimmy Glenn passed away in 2020 but he has certainly left a lasting legacy here. The bar staff are very friendly, attentive and competent, Jimmy trained them well. Layout: It is a long narrow New York City bar with plenty of seating along the bar. At the back of the bar it widens a little and there are a few tables at either side here. Decor: The bar is decorated with memorabilia from Jimmy's time here along with his past involvement with boxing. The bar area is covered with pictures of people having a good time here along with Jimmy himself and as you make your way through the bar you with see the boxing influence with vintage posters from boxing history. Jimmy had a love for boxing and you can also see him pictured with greats such as Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson! There are a number of tvs but thankfully the bar is not over powered by them. I feel that this is the sort of bar where people come for conversation rather than to watch tv! Overall Opinion: Jimmy's Corner is a classic old school New Yord City bar. You get the sense that time moves a little slower here while the busy city keeps on moving on outside! Its the perfect bar for a daytime beer and the prices are so cheap, the time we hit it the beers were $3 or $4 something each! I've never had a beer in the city that cheap. I highly recommend stopping by Jimmy's Corner for a drink and have a good chat with friends and visitors alike no doubt I will be frequenting this bar any chance I get when I'm in the city! And as my future father in-law says "Its a city bar for the working guy"!

Quality bar right beside time square. Small and what feels local. Good crowd there and the price was very reasonable. Staff were great and the choices were varied. It should be on your list if in New York.

Found this online with Google Maps, visited recently during our trip to NYC. What a gem in the middle of the Times Square area. Mike the bartender was great. Cold beers at great prices. It is a hangout for locals that know what a local bar should be. Shoot out to people we met - Jimmy (courier) and from Ireland Emma & Joe

I can't rate the food as we didn't eat here, but I was searching for good cocktails and this place showed up. At 1st glance my mom was like he'll no I'm not going in there, but I was like sometimes the whole in the walls are the best places so I walked in making her follow and happy I did. Service was amazing, drinks were so cheap. 4.50/drink for time square!! Unreal!! Patrons were friendly and it was good vibes. I would definitely come back

Small, cozy and cheap bar in the heart of Manhattan. I drunk there IPA for 4.5 dollars and I was really happy with taste - but of course for me. If you like boxing and history YOU MUST GO THERE. Plenty of old photos on the walls and old posters. Location it's another plus.

Long time Patron of Jimmy’s, one of the best undercover spots in Midtown. However, this past Tuesday a group of us had one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had here across the 5 boroughs. We walk in with a group of 9 on a Tuesday, pretty empty in the back. The head bartender, closest to the window as you walk in, was super nice, appreciative, and accommodating as we entered the bar and poured us our exact shots. As we sat in the back, the waitress back there was very oppressive and mean, not just to us but to the other patrons in the area. We have been to Jimmy’s multiple times and spent hundreds of dollars, so to be yelled at and called “children” - direct quote of the waitress, especially after we order 30+ dollars of drinks as we walk in was pretty demeaning. The patrons around our table also looked confused. Once we finally sat down, when we went to order drinks we were scolded by the back waitress to not move from our seats. At that point, we decided this was not our night at once of our favorite establishments in the city and left. Our back waitress tried multiple times to stop my female friends from leaving the establishment, and caused an embarrassing scene with myself, the head waitress at the bar, and herself once my friends had left. The back waitress falsely stated we ordered 4 more drinks than we had. The front waitress was so accommodating, understanding, and amazing of our circumstances, stating once “this is a common reaction she causes among guests”. The back waitress then came up to us at the bar and accused me of ordering 3 shots without baying, which absolutely didn’t not happen. The front bartender was very understanding and apologetic, but we tipped 66% because I do not like being accused of theft. At the end of the day we know good people own Jimmy’s and great people work at Jimmy’s but it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had, customer service or otherwise, ever.

Hard to beat this classic anywhere in NYC. Old school NYC vibe , been here for over 50 years . Always a smiling face behind the bar . Can’t beat a 3.50 cent vodka crab , or two cosmos and two beers for 17.00. Hope this place doesn’t go anywhere as it’s charm is boxing themed and one of a kind .

Possibly The last "everyman's" bar in NYC. Part Bukowski part the bar from Star wars 100% melting pot. Great people, cheap drinks, rich history. Def going again

The definition of a dive bar.. places like this are a dying breed so absolutely drop by for a Yuengling at this Times Square classic. Originally owned by a famous amateur boxer/ well known trainer across the industry. Use to spar with Ali, I believe his son is running it now and hasn’t changed a thing.. the history on the walls says it all!

$3.5 shots and mixed drinks. Great place to just hang out and get cheap drinks. You won't find another place like this in Manhattan. Not sure why it's not more popular. Not a fancy place but they have tables at the back and even have negronis! Place is decorated with a bunch of Muhammed Ali posters and pictures which are fun to look through.

I certainly had a very enjoyable day, of which you played an enormous of music. The service was brilliant from start to finish. The selection and pricing of drinks were superb. More than anything from the start to the final pint at midnight. I didn’t have to worry about a thing and everything ran so smoothly.

If you’re looking for an authentic NYC bar, this is place. Narrow, dark, dingy - but full of charm and character. Love it!

Cheap cheap cheap!!! I love drinking good and tipping better! Let’s talk about it! It’s not that the city doesn’t sleep, it’s the you. N I know where you can find the best espresso martini in town. If you’re looking for some rest and reprieve in the middle of Times Square you have to come and see Mike at Jimmy’s Corner. There’s an ambiance of old school boxing and new school cocktails that’s feeds anybody. Ask your bartender questions about jimmy, the manager owner. That man is tendered on his craft and space. Mixed crowd. It’s the professionalism of your bartender(mike, every night all the time. Work baby!!! bring it home to me! Lol!) he’s seriously really handsome so back off….. In addition to that— it’s the way that he makes sure that he can curate the cocktail that you might like even if you don’t think he has what you need. Read that again. I had a couple of espresso martinis. A splash of some rum. Idk. My heart full n the drinks were cheaper than that horrid Applebee’s.. stop for a hotdog and then go to Jimmy’s. Eff it. Indulge the spirits you can’t feed your gullet. Read that again. My heart is full. I think I’m in love but I could just have an excellent buzz at a great rate. Who drives in New York City? Go up mike! I will definitely be back and I will definitely refer this place—specifically Mike—to anybody that I know. When you feel like everybody can do a job you lose the sense of professionalism in it. Napkin under ur cocktail. Preferences on vodka. If you want a professional bartender you come to see Mike. Ask about the whiskey sour—the Jameson is super cheap. Mike… we’re a couple now I’ll see you at the house. Take the transit to Atlanta Georgia and meet me in the city. I got love for you babe.

Excellent dive bar close to hell aka Times Square. Cheap beer (4 USD), lovely photos of owner Jimmy Glenn (RIP), famous boxers and vintage posters from boxing history. The perfect spot for a daytime beer, nights can be a bit too crowded (for me).

I still think about my Jimmy's experience when I was last in New York. This place is one of the safest, kindest and entertaining spaces I've ever been to. Shout-out to all the amazing bar staff and all the amazing people we met there! Only time I've ever been at a bar and stayed for 5hrs+. Also can't beat the cheap prices! So much heart and soul in this place and I can't recommend it enough.

Super duper old school bar. A real NYC experience, which is hard to find around Times Square. The space is shaped like a galley from what I remember but I had a great time there. I hope they reopen soon.

Jimmy’s corner is where I tried my first gin and tonic when I was 21 so of course I give it 5 stars! Actually though, this is such a cute bar! Definitely go if you’re in the Times Square area. :) Can’t to go again since they reopened post-covid!

Without question our go to bar whenever we're in the Big Apple. Beer is cold, drinks are strong and prices are cheap. Bartenders are friendly. Jukebox has a great selection of music. And they're open to the wee hours of the morning. This place can’t be beat.

Jimmy's Corner bar is on W. 44th Street, New York City, less than a block from Times Square. It is a dive bar in every sense of the word and probably sells the cheapest beer in the whole of NYC. This small place is usually packed with a cross-selection of Manhattan life. It has a wonderful atmosphere that is enhanced by all the boxing photos and posters adorning its walls. If you like dive bars, I can thoroughly recommend Jimmy's.

If you want to avoid overpriced bars in New York this is th location for you. Lots of locals and an extensive array of boxing memorabilia on the walls which was fascinating to a boxing fan like myself. After paying exorbitant prices in other bars this was the ideal location. Definitely a must for any dive bar enthusiast that's traveling to NYC. The memorabilia is great and the drinks are cheap, but the place is TINY so if you are claustrophobic would not recommend. Other than that awesome place

When we travel we always look for the diamonds in the rough. We were told Jimmy's Corner was a nostalgic bar where it takes you back in time. It's like when you walk in you turn into a black and white photo. The music the photos the stories in the pictures the bartenders stories!! It definately is an experience I recommend everyone do. You want that true New York experience... start and end there. Cheers

Amazing local bar with awesome service, phenomenal prices, and the best atmosphere around. I don’t come around this area often, but next time I do, I’ll be sure to come back! Cheapest bar in Manhattan with the best service!

Found a true jewel Jimmy was Ali’s comer man and this place is a classic dive bar with a wall full of classic photos I can spend all day and night admiring the history. The bar tenders and laid back cool and cute. The vibes is relaxed with a juke box playing the tunes that make you miss ya momma and granny. I was at a marvelous roof top a block away but the line for a drink was too much of a wait I bought a round for @ Jimmys for 5 for the price of 1 drink at the roof top. I’ll never come to times SQ again and not come by. If you looking for fancy and not comfy in a soulful, culturally rich space this isn’t for you but if Your a fan of boxing history, home grown vibe and love this is your place.

A gem! The drinks were beyond reasonably priced! The atmosphere was fantastic! I am looking forward to going back and I live in Chicago lol I’d visit New York just to go to Jimmy’s!! 3 weeks later and we’re still talking about the good time we had here!

Went two weeks ago with some work friends, and it was a blast. The place was open until 4am, and the bartender had great knowledge. The atmosphere was inviting, engaging, and it was truly an experience. Coming from DC, i was expecting the prices to be expensive, but they’re some of the most reasonable cocktails i’ve ever had
