Very old hotel that has a baroque lobby, which is pretty much its best selling point. The rooms are quite basic and old-fashioned. Very few amenities for guests, no fridge in the room. Bathroom was clean, but I had bath tub where there was a wooden board and the shower head was about waist level because it was meant for someone with special needs or a handicap, and wouldn't adjust up because it was broken. Very low water pressure. Would not particularly recommend if you prefer somewhere more modern.

First time in New York, so didn't know anything besides other people's views. The Wolcott staff were pleasant & friendly when we arrived early for our room. They let us have our room early, which was helpful. The hotel was built in 1902. Has lots of character, which I love! Our room was a double. We got to our room which had 2 large singles & another room with another single. Lots of space & so clean. We got our bearings outside & realised we were central to almost everything! We purchased a top view ticket from touts in Street, cost us $60 including tax. We travelled everywhere in one day!! Loved it. I would stay in the Wolcott hotel again 👍

I just returned last night from a 4 night stay at Hotel Wolcott. This was my second time staying here. What a wonderful hotel! The decor is so beautiful----worthy of the landmark it is! Our room was perfect. We got the Jr. Suite, beds were comfortable, room was very clean and decor kept the feel of the time period it was built, but in an updated comfy feel! Our housekeeping lady was a true jewel. I could tell she liked her job and intended in doing it well and keeping her rooms and people happy and cared for! The staff were courteous and pleasant---Jeto told us some of the rich history of the hotel-----if you thinking of staying here, read up on the legends that have stayed before us! I only have good things to say---the only con---bathroom is small---but no problem---very functional----same for elevator---small and slow---but gives us time to think of the legends who rode this in the past! Will definitely stay here again! Thank you Hotel Wolcott for a very enjoyable stay! You just gained a loyal patron!

It's a scam hotel. They allow booking on different services like Agoda or booking and the service takes your money but in fact they are currently not operating as the hotel and gave it to a shelter. I booked this hotel on May 2021 and on 3rd of July when I already arrived to NYC i got a message that the hotel isn't working as a hotel and met weird people in the front door trying to check in. They have been not operating as the hotel since October 2020 but still allow booking

We were very happy with the hotel and its location. The room was spacious (for NYC) and clean. The lobby was beautiful and surprisingly quiet. The front desk was accommodating with letting us check-in early as well. Thank you for a nice evening in the city.

Nice hotel located in Korea town near Empire State Building. The crew is polite and helpful. The concierge wasn’t at the office very often. The “breakfast” was just a muffin and coffee/tea. We had a two bedroom room with an amazing view but the tiniest bathroom I’ve ever seen 😂 The hotel room were very big. The crew kept it clean and tidy every day.

I stayed for 5 days during the summer and thought that the hotel was top notch. Really nice on the inside, clean, good service, and the muffins for breakfast are crazy good. Everyone was really nice: we had a problem that we couldn’t print our boarding passes and the receptionist did it for us without an issue. Whenever I go back to NYC I will stay here again.

I stayed here for my first trip to New York and absolutely loved it. The staff was really helpful and personable and went out of their way to help us. I wasn’t able to print off my Circle Line tickets and they helped me do it right at the front desk. They stored our bags on the last day after checkout, hooked us up with coffee, and gave us a detailed tour of the ballroom. When I look at any negative comments on here from others (slow elevator, takes a while for hot water, etc), I think that they maybe weren’t taking into account that it’s a historic building, and frankly it added to the charm. I saw zero bugs (and trust me, I tear hotel rooms apart upon arrival to check for roaches and bed bugs). There was not a sign of either. We were in perfect walking distance to everything and could see the Empire State Building from our room (where my boyfriend proposed at the top on this trip!!!). Love this place and would happily stay here every time.

I've stayed at the Hotel Wolcott 2 times now when traveling to NY from Australia. Found the staff very helpful. Very accommodating. Everything I wanted for my room they supplied. Couldn't ask for better. Highly recommend.

As New Yorker who is not living there right now, I had to stay at the hotel and chose the Wolcott for the good price and the old charm. the hotel is beautiful and location could not be better for a tourist (near 34th street). My room was basic facing the courtyard and no view, but it also helped because I was insulated from street noise. Rooms are simple and clean. The staff were a treat - professional, polite and unassuming. They took care of storage for my bag so many times I could not thank them enough. I found my hotel now and plan on being back if I ever need to. Thanks to all front desk guys!!

This is a great value. The staff were helpful. The room was clean and the beds were cozy. It's an historic place. Of course it's not in the same league as the Plaza or many other high priced hotels, but there's nothing wrong with saving money. My only complaints are that the coffee was mediocre and the wifi was an extra charge.

I found this hotel after a search for hotel rooms with three beds. We ended up with a perfect room for our party of three-- three twin beds in a very comfortable room. The architecture is gorgeous, the location is perfect and the staff very friendly. Everything is clean and the free coffee, tea, and muffins are nice.

Long time ago, my friend was staying in hotel and she call me from hotel. When we call hotel, hotel reception was extreme rude and refuse to connect to her. These employees are worse customer service. I end up meeting her in Met Museum. This hotel deserves 0 stars.
