Cafe Coffee shop

👍👍 This place is just darling. Really minimal, quiet large space. They even have a backyard! To make it even better, they serve bao (which I did not try but certainly will). Staff was super friendly and they have WiFi. Will definitely be visiting this place again. People often mention coffee, latte, milk, nice, space, staff,

The Kopi Trading is a coffee shop/restaurant in the Flatiron District. Here's what's to love about it: 1) Coffee/tea: They have a good selection and a strong tea menu. I ordered the Hong Kong milk tea and loved it. It comes with black tea in a glass little pot and a mug of half and half and sugar. 2) Pastries: They have sweet and savory. The chocolate croissant is long and has a good ratio of chocolate to dough. 3) Space: It's beautiful and spacious, which is saying a lot for NYC. There are plenty of tables in the front, back, and outdoor patio. There's free wifi and outlets scattered throughout. 4) Bathrooms: They have them. Enough said.

I saw some people post the rainbow latte, so I was pretty excited to give a try so I came to The Kopi. But the barista told me there were no rainbow latte, so I was pretty disappointed. So I order latte instead. Coffee was decent . There was a fly flew into my cup, so I ask if I can get another one. And the barista was super nice, and make another one for me right away. The space is pretty big, and also have outdoor seats as well. There is another restaurant (Baodega) share the same area, so I'm not sure if you can only take certain seats tho.

Great coffee and friendly staff. Pick this over a chain coffee place if you care about the quality of your coffee!

We tried based on Ritual suggestion. It’s a really nice cool looking space with places of tables. Barista made us a very nice latte. It tasted good and it had nice latte art.

Coffee was good. You can at least taste the caffeine in it, unlike some mainstream coffee chains. They asked if we wanted milk for the coffee, we did, but the coffee was served without teaspoons. You won't be able to eat at the patio area at the back because they aren't licensed for it. Just FYI, not to get at them. Ordered the homemade fried dough (you tiao) to-go so that we can sit at the patio area, and it came with lettuce, and cheese powder, and cocoa powder. I mean: like why??? Atmosphere indoor was very cozy. Will be great for get-togethers. Just enough room to maneuver, but going to get a little busy if the staff or other patrons are walking up and down the aisle. And...no WiFi.

For starters, the space is cozy but not cramped, and wonderfully open. There is an outdoor space I didn't get to go to, but have heard is great in warm weather. The baristas were really friendly, and asked my preferences in coffee flavorings, which was huge, because I'm very picky about my coffee. After asking how I preferred my coffee (earthy or bright, I picked bright!), the barista made me an iced latte with oat milk (plenty of non-dairy milk options, including a house-made soy milk!) that was absolutely delicious. I usually need to put at least 2 sugars in any coffee I drink, but the coffee was so smooth that I didn't need to, but at the same time, it wasn't overly sweet. I'm looking forward to going back for more coffee, and trying the teas, which I've heard are very good. (My latte and a friend's tea are pictured)

Upon entering the restaurant the staff was very friendly. Was seated in a timely manner. Was very excited to make a visit as I discovered a post on Instagram about kopi trading co. Since I love trying new places to have lunch, I felt this place would be ideal. Food was ordered but not all were hot. Ordered the lunch special with the braised pork and rice. The pork was not hot but rather somewhat room temperature. Which is odd since holding temperature for pork should be at 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Unless the pork was meant to be served that way. The soup was a nice addition to the meal except, the egg drop soup was very gelatinous and not very warm. Also, ordered dumplings and shrimp shu mai which were steaming hot and very delicious. At some point during my stay, a server or kitchen staff member, spilled soy sauce on the table which completely splashed everywhere on me and the table. The soy sauce went on my shirt, pants, arms, face and eyes, as well as my half of the table. The soy sauce left a stinging and blinding sensation for a moment. After this incident, I reeked of soy sauce. It was a very angering experience and the mood was killed. I completely understand the server made a spill by accident. However, I was not made felt comfortable. I was not shown where to go to a restroom to try to wash myself or shirt. No manager spoke to me about what happened. The staff member just gave my a napkin and apologized which was fine. But, I just wanted to get out of the place as fast as possible to change my clothes.

Clean. Nice lighting. Good coffee and some pastries. Big window in the front. Unfortunately, they play gaudy music which brings down the experience.

I love Kopi Trading Co!! Their coffee is the best in the neighborhood and their pastries are TO DIE FOR. The team is the sweetest and they make my morning everytime I go there.

Stopped in for lunch and tried both the food and coffee. Very friendly staff and stylish decor. Really cool spot (essentially a coffee shop built inside a restaurant) that might seem hidden due to the scaffolding on the street. Had the soup dumplings, lions head lunch special, and latte with oat milk which were all great!
