Beautiful place to relax and fish or just meditate. Somewhere to breathe in New York.

Decent park for sports, baseball ⚾️ and soccer. Drainage could be better, but there is parking. They have a porto-potty seems like the regular bathrooms aren't open (atleast when we were there). Lots of cops around if you're into that scene.

My daily walks on the track are good. Friendly atmosphere. A few left over trash from people's barbecuing and homeless men sleeping on the benches. But the park is kept up. I enjoy the scenery and the environment, so much better than living in the South dirtiest Bronx.

I LOVE THIS PARK!!!!! Maybe it's because I was born and raised in Spanish Harlem(where this park is located). But it's just a great place to sit and enjoy the fresh air, read a book, shoot some hoops, drink some coffee or have a barbecue with family and friends. And if it gets too hot, just jump in the Pool and cool off. This park is beautiful! Love it!!!

In my opinion the best and most complete public city park uptown right after Central Park and Riverbank State Park. Has everything. Brand new playground, 3 full basketball courts, a huge new Skate Park, Hand ball Courts, Multiple outdoor BBQs, at least 2-3 baseball fields, 300 meter track, turf soccer field, Olympic sized public pool, and a large dog park. And somehow it’s never crowded.

I wish there was a curfew for the park. It gets loud and safe at night. The local authorities will sit in a squad car in the middle of the park from 11 am - 3 pm, when nothing happens. They are never seen when the sum how's down and the noise and violence goes up!

That dam park is horrible I love the track and the football field but other then that don't ever leave anything laying around. Always stay alert especially at night many people have been mugged and a body was found inside the trash not to long ago. Overall the the running track is great👍

I've been coming to Thomas Jefferson Park since I was a kid it's still a great place and I just wish they would just change the name because Thomas Jefferson was a slave owner with that said it's a wonderful Park it's beautiful come on spend some time that's plain to do.

A park in East Harlem with playgrounds, barbecue zones, and sculptures. Near to East River Manhattan.

The park itself is wonderful... you can come and go to the pool, run on the track, play soccer, play in the park, have a ball in general. The only downside that there are rats at nice so be careful at a certain time. Plus if you don't like a big crowd I suggest another park because this park is always full in the summer especially for cookouts and parties.

It's a beautiful space in East Harlem that the city has not invested in. My son started having flag football scrimmages here on Sundays in October, 2017 and the bathroom has been closed every time he has played. The baseball field is dirt. The soccer field that they utilized a few weeks ago is dirt as well. The park has a lot of potential, but the city has not done much with it. There is no parking lot, so you have to find street parking or pay to park in the lot on E. 111th if they have space.

What a beautiful park! The largest public pool I've ever seen filled with kids enjoying themselves, also basketball courts, playground for the little ones and a very popular skate park. This day Ryan Sheckler was at the park visiting with the skateboarders. We enjoyed ourselves very much. #RyanSheckler

Park was great but the kids were making it dirty. Other than that the handball court soccer field playground and baseball field were all in the same vicinity the spider climbing play part was the best

Its a party type atmosphere here. Not always the most appropriate for children. But its cool for all it has. A pool, bball courts, skate park,, soccer field, track for runners, dog park, big grassy area for football, grills for bbqing, baseball fields. They NEED a bathroom tho. That porta potty is..... yuck

Nestled on the edge of East Harlem. Thomas Jefferson Park is one of the forgotten beauty's of NYC. A park full of amenities for all ages ranging from Track and Field to outdoor swimming. Thomas Jefferson Park also boasts a Recreation center for children & seniors.

I've lived in the area about 7 years now and this year was the first year I've gone to the pool there. I thought it would be a hassle to get in bit surprisingly, it's quite a simple process. All you need is a lock for your locker and a bathing suit. The pool is very safe, they have lifeguards everywhere and they have security. The only downside side is the pool is only 4 ft deep. I mean the deepest area may be 4 1/2 feet towards the middle. Like I said, it's clean and simple and I'd definitely recommend anyone who wants to take a dip to check it out!!

This pool is always nice e well maintained and under control however this year because they have a lifeguard shortage only half the pool is open it's really aet down as it's been so hot swimming laps is not possible

Small park 3 blocks with common amenities like basketball courts, handball, track, workout area, playground and skate park. There's also a public pool during summer season that usually offers swim lessons, and indoor activities vary on the time of year. Play area for kids can be extremely crowded on nice days but it's also closed to Costco, Target, Aldi, Marshall's.

Dog owners beware: There is a dog owner that lets his husky off leash and lets him rush at every dog and people in sight. People who work at the park need to tell dog owners like this to leash dogs because someone can get hurt. The dog run is also not very safe since multiple dog fights do happen. Please be safe in this park.

Jefferson Park gets four stars only because it is a big part of my childhood. If it weren't for that, there is no real love for the spot.

  • 3/5 Leatrice L. 2 years ago on Google
Me and my 2grand children go 2Jefferson Park to swim, do yoga, power walks, and exercise as often as we can. It not a park of amusement, entertainment. That just our type of fun as a family ✌️.😃

  • 5/5 Sal A. 2 years ago on Google
I grew up in this neighborhood. This park is much more safer than it once was. There's a lot offered here; a giant pool, community center, running track, 3 sports fields, playground, 2 basketball courts, dedicated space for barbecuing and picnics, 4 handball courts, and access to the walking path on FDR Drive. In addition, there's usually access to a large concrete yard that is associated with the connecting school structure.

They fixed the park really nice. But why do they only have Port a potties, 2 to be exact. There was chicken wing bones on the floor in 1 lol

  • 4/5 Lita C. 1 year ago on Google
It good, the track is great for a good workout. You could do a quick picnic, take the kids to the park, dog run is fair.

Wonderful park ❤️ Definitely would recommend especially with the new playground they just built.

I like that they have bbq grills already in the park. I really dislike that the bathrooms are very limited. The port a potty's at the park are so disgusting. It doesnt matter what time that you get to the park, they are never clean.

Swimming pool very clean, baseball field very clean, basketball court, watch 2games at the same time or ,2full size courts and a half court, a soccer field near the swimming pool, and lots of BBQS. Everyone there is so nice 🙂 they feed you even if they don't know who you are 😉. I have to say Thank you so much for the meals,. I have to say, great 🏞️ Park, I give it 5 star's.

The pool is okay if you go first session(early) because then it gets way to filled up with people and they are short on lifeguards so they can’t fully open the pool. The park is also okay though a lot of homeless people sleep on the benches and I’ve seen some kids get jump there(bro could not fight) but it is a pretty good place to chill with your friends but if you don’t have friends I don’t recommend going alone.

I enjoy it mostly. The older kids in the playground/ swing area is unsettling at times as they swung aggressively and run around while little ones are there. Gone are the days where parks didn't allow people to smoke in them or people caring about cigarette or weed smoke being there.
