I wrote a review before and somehow magically it’s not there anymore so let me rewrite it. This hospital is absolutely the worst place to take your loved ones. I speak from experience when I say to avoid this hospital at all cost. Honestly I should have took my father to another hospital but I fell for the reputation of this hospital and I regret it. The staff, doctors, and caretakers are all subpar. So much miscommunication within departments that it causes so much confusion among nurses. They treat your loved ones as test subjects. They did this with my father and gave him experimental medications. I would recommend you never go here and if you do please do your research and ask around with people who have been here before, before you go. Also make sure you look up the medications they give you on your own and make sure they don’t have serious side effects. They gave my dad medication that was experimental and caused his liver to fail. As I previously stated, don’t let this hospitals reputation blind you. This hospital values money so if you don’t have it, don’t even bother going here. They treat you based on your income. Listen and read the reviews of people who gave this hospital 1 star reviews because those are the ones that will tell you the most about this hospital.

The nurses, admin team, patient care team I have no complaints about. I dread thinking how the doctors here have handled my Dads care since the very beginning of his AML diagnosis in April. To begin when he was initially admitted, he received his chemo and was discharged with oral meds that he was told to keep taking upon going home. Doing some basic internet research we discovered he was taking the meds for 20 days longer than he was supposed to. We had a teledoc visit with his doctor, she described it as a “misscommunication” and that he indeed took it weeks longer than he was supposed to. Also during this period, he was doing outpatient in New Jersey and never had any follow up from his doctor until weeks after discharge his initial diagnosis. I do not think this is standard. He was discharged with no Oncology follow ups scheduled or anything. When we finally did talk to his Doctor she said to move to a clinical trial that had not been successful on anyone, nor was it even available. She gave him more chemo that did not make any progress towards treating his disease. To say she was hands off is an understatement. I personally messaged about clinical trials that had success with patients with similar diagnosis and subtypes. We were told to reach out to hospitals that had them while she continuously kept stringing my father along without any real plan besides what was already not working. I asked about transplants she said it could kill him, now they have no viable plan as the chemo and lung issues (related) are too much to overcome. I continue to seek treatments for him. In short, I feel like we experienced a 1980s treatment plan, with no creativity or critical thinking applied to treating my Dad. He is a number to (most) of the doctors. They also will scheduled him for blood transfusions once a week on outpatient when he got them daily in the hospital. Extremely frustrating. Their bedside manner was also… abysmal. Offered little hope this whole time and didnt give confidence to other centers that would have been more capable in treating him. I would not recommend MSKCC and wished he went somewhere like Mayo or MD Anderson. Maybe they can be helpful for more straightforward treatment plans, but my Dad has a very rare subtype that made it complicated. Several doctors come off as thinking they are the end all be all of what is known about my father’s disease. Newsflash - we’re all capable of reading studies that show efficacy of treatments but your heads are too far up your own you know wheres to listen to family. They also give off a vibe of thinking they are the Almighty as well and it breaks my heart to see how they spoke to him and how it affects his mood, graces, and personal outlook.

The most terrible organization and coordinator experience ever! If you are looking to getting the best cancer treatment at this hospital, good luck! These people have the worst coordination between doctors, nurses, billing financial team etc. They will call the patient asking for a form he never heard of only to hang up and never call back. Each time you call they ask you to call different department. It has now been 3 weeks and we are still waiting for the chemo treatment to be approved. They tell you that" you shouldn't worry we have it covered", only for nothing to be done and for you to continue waiting for your treatment until your condition gets worse!

No idea what these bad reviews are about because I have been treated with the best care I have ever had at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr Alice Wei and Dr Judge are ROCKSTARS in the type of cancer I had. I am very proactive in my own care, so some of the issues mentioned appear to be from people, who did not properly advocate, for themselves or their loved ones. I was seen and diagnosed immediately and had surgery within a couple weeks. I was placed in a beautiful VIP suite and looked after 24-7 by a bevy of fun and kind nurses, PT people, and maintenance folks. Because I tested positive for Covid after surgery, I was there a week so had tons of great nurses and physical therapists except for one recovery room nurse named Camille — who lied about me not wanting any painkillers (I just didn't want any highly addictive ones!) — and Tara, the last nurse in my room, who tried to rush me out of the room by taking my clothes and throwing them on a chair while I was in the shower. Since coming home, I have had phone calls almost daily checking on my recovery and whenever I ask a question in the portal, it is answered instantly with either a phone call or email back. There are some changes I would make. First, there was an incident where Dr. Wei outright lied to me when I requested a routine scan that is usually done prior to surgery for the type of tumor I had. She inexplicably claimed that the scan was too expensive and that MSKCC did not do them. This was just odd since neither thing was true. That made me a bit nervous at first. However, she saved my life, so I feel so grateful that I found her. Secondly, people need more than 2 days in the hospital after surgery. I was in so much pain there is no way I could've gone home in 2 days, which I would've had to do if I had not had Covid. Also, the pain meds need to be timed with the physical therapy visits so that the patient can actually do the walks/exercises that are required. My PTs kept coming so late that my meds had worn off. Then, I couldn't do the walks. And finally, the drain bags need to be smaller. It makes no sense for patients to have to wear a 600ml drain bag if they are only outputting 20-40ml. Having a smaller bag would be much more convenient for patients, who have to wear a drain for a long time. And finally, patients need a realistic estimate of how long recovery from surgery can be. I was told I would be ok in 2 weeks. But it was 4 months with 6 hospital stays due to complications. I kept returning to work then having to be out again. If I had had a realistic notion of how complicated the recovery could be, I would've just taken the full time off on disability to heal. That said, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is the gold standard and I am so glad I chose to heal with them. Like anything health-oriented, you need to do your homework and advocate for yourself. There is nothing scarier than cancer, NOTHING! So if you live in NYC, make sure you come here. Because it is the best.

Sloan Kettering cares very deeply... About their reputation and their stupid logo. Being treated here was almost as bad as the cancer itself.

Staff are courteous and very helpful! MSK is so huge that it can be intimidating. MSK has an indoor parking garage, the entrance is on 66th Street, with an underground tunnel connecting to the hospital's main lobby on York Ave! The parking fee is discounted to a very reasonable price for NYC. There's generally a line for the parking garage starting 11am because of the limited number of parking spaces available.

This hospital is absolutely terrible. The nursing staff can’t seem to bothered. And when you do. You’re disturbing them. Poor care for my child. Argumentative staff. Unable to have any of there support. No privacy. My child is recovering from surgery from cancer. Why are the infant recovery room split? There is no way this should be allowed. No privacy. My child can’t sleep when there is another child scream. Extremely small and cramped. Out dated. I will Never come back here again.

My experience with their pituitary center was awful. They are not really interested in helping patients. You have to basically “apply” to get in. They gave me the run around just to be considered. I did everything that was asked. Then I was told I was not accepted. I didn’t realize when they asked for certain testing that I’d be turned away without even a consult despite having positive test results. No reason or advice was given. You’d think people with a little bit of human decency and empathy would at least give feedback, especially when you’re supposedly dealing with patients with serious illnesses all the time, but no. In my case my illness is very rare so it’s not like I can easily go somewhere else and get help. I may have to travel to Rochester which is 4 hours away from me to another pituitary clinic. I was honestly shocked by the treatment. I guess today you have to come to expect that people can’t be bothered. I’m not sure why doctors go through the trouble and expense of medical school if they’re not interested in actually helping people.

Want to give a shout out to the nurses and staff on the 17th floor. I was briefly there this past Thursday to pick up my uncle Juan who received treatment. It felt very welcoming and calm on the floor. I am assuming that they were nurses (I apologize if they’re not) as they were sitting in the central location and also running around taking care of patients. When we asked for a wheelchairs, they processed the request with a smile. One of the folks even asked how my day was going and asked about the Buffalo Bills. I know this may sound small but it’s the little things that can make a difference. I had some anxiety coming to visit and was exhausted from my 8 hour drive to get here, but all that went away when I entered the 17th floor of this hospital.

I spent 4 days with my boyfriend here this week. He couldn't leave his room due to his radiation. I stayed in his room with him the entire time, not a single staff member was snotty, attitudes, or miserable. Everyone seemed so happy and funny and everyone seemed to get along. Every single person was so nice and helpful. From the parking garage attendants, security, reception, gift shop, nurses and surgeons. I mean EVERYONE was amazing. Zero complaints. I wish I could thank them all personally. *Update*. I ended up back at the hospital with my boyfriend 2 days after he was released and these people went up and BEYOND. As I've never seen a man in so much pain in my life, they did everything they could to keep him comfortable and even did surgery at 1am instead of waiting until the following morning because they could see his agony. I cannot thank anyone in this hospital enough. Really truly amazing people

My husband has been treated at Sloan for over 15 years and in the past they were GREAT however, recently he was diagnosed with prostate cancer at Mount Sinai he asked to have his charts transferred to Sloan but, Sloan told him he would need to get them and drop them off. So he did… Now they have lost ALL hood records at Sloan. It’s been SIX MONTHS and he hasn’t even gotten treatment let alone looked at. Someone needs to sue this hospital they have gone from being the best cancer hospital to being the worst! I PRAY that once my husband gets looked at it’s not too late. SLOAN KETTERING you are KILLING MY HUSBAND! And I WILL be suing!

My daughter was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and not given much hope. We went to MSKCC for a second opinion and it was a no-brainer to proceed with treatment there. We hand picked the doctors we wanted on our team and all of them are experts in their field. They even have a special team of doctors for cancer patients under 40. There is a "MSK Lounge" for young adults to hang out in and play video games, watch movies, play pool, just crafts, etc. which is a wonderful place for these patients to go to get out of their room. This is a CANCER center and that's all they do, research and treat cancer. My daughter's treatment has been really rough because of how advanced it is, but they have been with us every step of the way. They are so responsive when we reach out through the patient portal. Scheduling is extremely easy and lab work and test results are uploaded to the patient portal within hours. Dr. Wei, Dr. Connell, Dr. Smith and Dr. Romessar are awesome! I would highly recommend going to MSKCC for the best possible outcome of your cancer treatment!

My Sister was diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer, in late October early November. Her choice of treatment was MSK in Middletown NJ. our 1st visit she was to have a port placed. we arrived and were checked in and after gowning up and physically and mentally preparing for the procedure they told us her COVID test results were not back yet! really should have checked that first. did get the procedure and had her first treatment, which by the 3rd day she was so sick!! couldn't eat, move. now 5 days later has some energy back and a little appetite. we come for a 3:50 appointment For a 4:20 CT scan and it's 6:26 pm. is this the normal treatment making cancer patients wait?

This hospital is the best! If you or a loved one has any type of cancer DO NOT go to your local hospital. Start off with the BEST treatment possible with this place. The staff are all helpful. The nurses are the best. Kind, considerate, compassionate. The Doctors treat you like you are their only patient. They talk to you, not at you. They take the time to answer any and all of your questions.

Thank you for the File. However, we found it very disappointing: - It took three weeks to get a half page of recommendation by Dr. Epstein. His profile is even longer than his opinion. The recommendation is too short and general to be worth 2500 $. It might not take him more than two hours to do it. - The recommendation is not very helpful to the patient as it targets to the medical oncologist, not on the patient who asked for the second opinion. - Dr. Epstein got it wrong that the patient is female. In fact, the patient is male. This shows his lack of attention to detail. - He recommend first trying the chemotherapy including Irinotecan and Avastin which have already been administered six cycles along with Xeloda and shown not very effective for lung metastasis, and didn’t justify why this regimen should be tried again. - No detailed dosages and instructions for use whatsoever are given, even we asked in the follow up questions. - He mentioned that there are so many other factors he does not have access to, but he didn’t bother to ask. The information we have given is summarised, but very detailed and specific, and he can ask for any further information he wants to know. The patient summary already indicates that the patient can walk and able to carry on working, but needs medicine to boost appetite. However, Dr. Epstein still claims that he has no access to such information.

Up until recently I was a patient of Dr. Wassim Abida at Memorial Sloan-Kettering or MSK for the treatment of prostate Cancer. I had been "otherwise" healthy and fit, but serious and incapacitating illnesses rained down on me after treatment ended, and I went on to discover that the doctor had subjected me to clandestine clinical research that called for the deprivation of side effect mitigation. An audit of my hospital records, along with portal messages, and the recording of phone conversations and my doctor's visits, show that Dr. Abida, in addition to not having revealed the drugs and its side effects and their mitigation, planted a number of alibis as if he contemplated that I could or would be injured. Poor timing and poor coordination reveal that the alibis are a common and frequent practice at this hospital. But in the cycle of life, all acts, good and bad, come to a close, and with an unprecedented determination, this story will be told in detail; MSK's lacking and in many areas non-existent Operating Procedures and Internal Controls have created a corrupting permissiveness that puts all MSK patients at risk of further injuries.

My husband has been receiving treatment for mesothelioma for 5 years by the staff at Sloan. They are amazing, caring knowledgeable, cutting edge and everyone has done an incredible job. The nurses on the 5th and 12 floors are so compassionate, The doctors, surgeons, radiology drs, phlebotomy ALL went above and beyond. A sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart to all who have shown such professionalism, kindness and love. Especially Junior from food services who just delivered a lovely tray to us while we keep vigil on our loved one. Thank you

<b>BEWARE::: <b> They really let ANYBODY work at this place. Someone I used to know by the name of Eugene works here and he has the worst anger & rage I’ve ever witnessed. He’s prone to making threats & destroying property if he doesn’t get his way so it’s beyond me how he’s allowed to work in any type of hospital setting around any living beings. I even had to call the police on him and they said he sounds like a control freak who needs to find a better outlet or get laid. Do No Harm is a joke to him and this sloan place , and good luck to anyone who might end up with this psycho on your treatment team because you’ll likely end up worse than you were when you came in. If you see him or his fake, malignant narcissistic smile facing your direction - RUN!!!!!

So impressed with my husband's entire cancer team at Sloan-Kettering. They are so organized! Every week a nurse or doctor has called to check on my husband & discuss with him his treatments & results. There is a care coordinator who will guide & help you with any questions. All the doctors we have worked with, have been professional & caring. I work in the Healthcare for over 37 years at another hospital & can honestly say that Sloan-Kettering care has truly impressed us! Thank you, Dr Zervodkis, Dr Mantha, Dr Weiser, your nurses & Ashley our care coordinator. So glad we decided to go to Sloan. Best care he has ever received!!

Had terrible experience working in PPBC at Pathology department. It's definitely not a good place for computer science people to work there. The job description is just a scam. They use good hot topic phases like machine learning, NLP to attract people. But you end up work nothing like these at all but worked at outdated frameworks that no body want to touch nowadays. I am glad that I got out fast. But still, I should avoid it completely in the first place. Hope others will not waste their time.

No coordination of care amongst the various doctors caring for my father, (and my mother, when she was there -- she passed away a few months ago). No pro-active care, it is very hard to get answers, or even to ask questions. When my mother was in for surgery they tried to send her home the same day, even though she couldn't catch her breath and couldn't stand up, much less walk. When we said there was no way we could bring her home, the nurse told us to take her to the EMERGENCY ROOM AT ANOTHER HOSPITAL. I'm utterly baffled at the care my parents have received at Sloan. It seems like they were excellent test subjects for various medications, but when it came to actually caring for them in acute periods of crisis, they were ignored.

This is the best hospital I've ever been to. You never have to worry about you or your loved one being mistreated in any way (those in the Bronx know what I'm talking about). It's accurate to say everyone, from the doctor to the nurses that pass by, will bring you the best service a hospital can give. Plus note: even I like the food that they give for the patients.

What is a nurse manager responsible for? A highly offensive intrusion by the person The intrusion was either intentional or negligent The act violated the person's privacy The act caused the person some measure of harm In the case of Amin v. UPS, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals found that a UPS supervisor violated an employee's privacy by denying him a bathroom break. The court stated that the supervisor exposed a private matter to public scrutiny

The outpatient centers are excellent. Doctors, nurses and staff are professionals from A to Z. In patient is a different story. Nothing bad to say about the doctors but dealing with the nurses and aids is worse than cancer. What a horrible experience!

June 6, 2022:. GSK Cancer Drug & GSK CH Sensodyne & Polio Vaccines. UK GlaxoSmith Kline Consumer Healthcare, Warren, N. J., rectal cancer miracle drug costs $11,000 per dose every 3 months for six months completely obliterates cancer in every patient, unheard of!!! No one expected their tumours to disappear. This is the Memorial Sloan Kettering David H. Koch Cancer Center, MSK. Think of other potential uses for UK's Glaxo Smith Kline drug? And it is moving to separate from it's consumer business, Haleon, Sensodyne toothpaste - my brand. Eighty percent of MSK goes to shareholders and MSK owns 68% of Haleon MSK $42.72 on NYSE, down from $43.00+. And Polio Vaccines are in demand from 2022 to 2027.

**This is just a review of the Mskcc offices/coordinators, not the doctors. Mskcc has a global reputation. If you find out you have stage 4 cancer, this is likely the place for you. They have ongoing trials, innovative treatments, things you won’t find anywhere else and they will give you at a minimum, hope, and maybe years on your life. My husband’s cancer, thank god, was not that advanced. He required surgery, then adjuvant chemo. The pre-surgery scheduling and surgery itself went so well. By the time we thought of a question or need for an appointment, we’d check the the portal and it was already scheduled. Incredibly communicative and supportive. This all completely changed once he began 3 months of chemo therapy. Remember how I mentioned globally known? Well that also means they are overrun and overbooked. It took DAILY calls to get chemo treatments scheduled. Then, two days later, we’d get bumped and put on a wait list. A wait list! If you don’t have an advocate, good luck. They impress upon you how important it is to keep to a chemo schedule, yet can’t accommodate that schedule. We offered to travel to ANY of their facilities in NJ/NY/LI. Waitlist! It has been unbelievably stressful. Worried if he’ll get his treatment in time to be effective, worried about making plans for work, babysitters, etc. When you do get an appointment, it is merely a suggestion of when you’ll be seen. As I write this at 5:05pm, he has yet to start his chemo IV. We arrived at 11am for his lab work, and have been waiting for his noon appointment ever since. We are crowded in a room with dozens of others in the same predicament. It is shameful behavior on their part. So worried to bring in every dollar imaginable they can’t tend to any patient properly. UPDATE - 9/19: we continue to scrape the bottom of the barrel in regards to level of care. When my husband began chemo in August, we asked for an appointment with their Integrative medicine team. The first available was Sept 19. Not ideal, but we took it. Less than 24 hrs ago, THEY cancel and offer us an appointment in October, about 2 weeks before he ends chemo. Almost pointless, but we took it. But wait, there’s more! He’s been suffering from hand and foot syndrome from the treatment, which is not unusual. His oncologist said they’ll make a referral to dermatology to get us in this week. This would be wonderful if it actually happened. Dermatology calls back, their earliest available Nov 20! Nearly 2 weeks after he ends treatment. He has blistered soles on both feet. He can’t walk, and they want us to wait until November! To MSK: I see your note below to email you. Since June, my husband and I have spent dozens of hours waiting to hear from your doctors, nurses, and administrators. But we are just one of HUNDREDS of patients you treat in this way. We meet them when we’re in one of your waiting rooms for hours at a time. Pick up the phone and call any of us if you truly want to do better.

I would like to say that I highly, highly recommend this facility. I appreciate this hospital and everything they are doing for my mother. First and foremost, let me say this: if you want the most utmost attentive care related to any type of cancer and your situation is not looking that great, please consider giving this place a chance; I *HIGHLY* recommend Memorial Sloan Kettering Center. They are experts and are well specialized when it comes to cancer itself. The staff at that hospital are the most informative, kindest and caring people my family and I have ever met, and they will fight tooth and nail to give you the best care possible. They will respond to your concerns asap and they make sure to quickly provide you with information and/or updates. They gave my mother absolute hope. My mother was being treated at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ but they were quick to assume that we would have to prepare for the worst. I would never return to that hospital due to how they treated my mother, and for me as well when I needed surgery. Thanks to my sister's recommendation, we had her moved to this hospital. I really want to help anyone that is in the same situation that my family and I are in, thanks to Memorial Sloan Kettering Center, my mother is still with us. Thank you to every single person that works at this hospital, please realize how much of a difference you are making, words cannot express how grateful we are for this place.

There are not enough words to say about this hospital. The doctors, nurses and staff members are super human, in my opinion. The patience and level of care they provide is simply unbelievable. The training provided to every staff member speaks volumes of their commitment to bettering people's lives. The hospital is well maintained and clean. They have private and semi private rooms and a dedicated floor for the 'elite'. The lobby has a chapel, gift shop and waiting area. The hospital offers wifi connectivity and a working space in the lobby for you to work. The cafeteria offers a good selection of food. These go a long way when you are in the hospital for over a week.

This place is the major leagues of cancer technology. If you have to be here this is where you want to be. I wasn’t sir, buddy, pal or a number. I was Mr and/or my first name. This is by far the worst hospital I had ever gone to and really regret taking my father here. My father had T cell Lymphoma. The doctors kept giving him trial medication like he was some kind of test subject. My poor father suffered in that hospital. The nurses, doctors, and care team are the absolute worse. They didn't take care of my father while he was there for a month. Many times my father had pooped himself and the care taker didn't want to clean my dad. The nurses are mostly young college kids who they all have some kind of miscommunication problem where they don't communicate things and at times do things without informing the patient or the family of the patient. The doctors here in this MSK are the absolute worse. They gave my father a medication that caused him to have dress syndrome which lead to a trigger of infections that ultimately lead to his passing. I seriously would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Take it from me, If i could go back in time I would have taken him somewhere else. I regret ever taking him to this terrible hospital.

All good. I worked in a hospital on Long Island. Let's just say that MSK seems to have all their ducks in a row. Fortunately I was ambulatory and it was as pleasant an experience as could be expected. Wish they had a full service hospital on the island.

Just had surgery to remove hopefully the last bits of cancer from my body with Dr Wei. She is hands down one of the best doctors I've ever had the good fortune of having had care for me. Nursing staff is phenomenal. Food is really good! This is a world class facility and it feels like one from start to finish. You literally cannot do better than this place if you are sick. If you are reading this and feeling unsure of where to have your cancer treated, stop looking and get yourself here. They can treat you. This place works miracles on the regular.

I've been going here for 7 years receiving treatment, been to several departments, so believe me when I say I have never had a bad experience here, in fact I love seeing my care providers it makes the trip worth it despite the grim nature of requiring lifetime testing. Started here as a kid, then to the "adult" care areas. Both were equally great and they have incredible programs for kids going through treatment and their siblings! Including a huge game room with crafts, video games, manga/graphic novels. It was actually great. Now I will say, I didn't start here for my care. I was first admitted to Yale New Haven hospital. If you have the luxury of choice and happen to be closer to Connecticut than New York, I sincerely wish I never went to Yale but that's a story for a different review. At MSK I was not given inaccurate out-dated care, treated like a science project, called insults. It's insanity. Never again. Side note, they are 🏳️‍🌈amazing🏳️‍🌈

I had a very good experience at this hospital. Everyone was really nice and caring. I was even asked if I needed a social worker. I didn't feel that I needed one, but I thought it was so great that they offered. The radiologist was very knowledgeable and caring. I felt like I was in the best possible hands.

Financial services at MSK is garbage! Not only did they not schedule a pt who was already approved (they needed the cpt codes requested 🙄) but if pts come with out of ntwk insurance and an approved out of ntwk authorization for the initial consult, they will not think of the best interests of the pt but only of the hospital! Absolutely disgusting! I recommend any facility besides MSK! Anywhere else they’ll care more about pts than this putrid facility! From staff to drs! Good luck to anyone in their care..

I just learned there are TWO health care systems in the US. There's Sloan-Kettering an there's the rest. They're collectively the most amazing group of people ANYWHERE!!! Care that is beyond compassion, professionalism beyond excellence.

I can't begin to say how wonderful this facility is. My son and I traveled over 2100 miles to MSKCC. They saved my son's life. Dr. Joel Shienfeld, Dr. Kingham and their teams were just as wonderful. This is a very top rated Cancer Center in the country, if not the world.

The care I received at MSKCC in pre surgical, post surgical recovery and patient room was incomparable. The attention to detail and cleanliness excellent. The nurses, technicians and housekeeping staff are detailed and compassionate. I felt comfortable and confident I was getting the best care and a safe environment.

The entire staff at MSK from the Patient Transporters to the esteemed Dr. Valerie Rusch, provided stellar care. They anticipated all my needs. I had a large benign tumor removed from my back by Dr. Rusch, using a version of the "DaVinci scalpel." The surgery though tricky went flawlessly. The post-op nurses responded whenever I moved while in recovery. All The nursing staff intuited my needs, communicating clearly and warmth. MSK detected a possible heart issue. The cardiology team thoroughly diagnosed and addressed the matter. MSK gave the best of state of the art care. Here is a picture I took right after surgery in Post-Op.

Incredible doctors/staff at MSK. Went in for a large lipoma removal on my back and from start to finish everyone who works there were wonderful. They answered any question I had (including after I was discharged) and take really great care if you. The nurses were funny, helpful and attentive. I cannot recommend MSK enough and am grateful I was treated here.

This is a review on their international remote consultation services. We didn’t find many reviews when we first decided to do this for my grandpa who lives overseas. For reference, as of now it costs 2500 to get a written opinion and 4000 for a video consultation, where they require the local oncologist to be present. We did the written opinion. Further medical reports e.g. pathology, lab that need to be read incur extra costs. - It took three weeks to get a half page of recommendation by Dr. Andrew Epstein that probably didn’t take very long to write. - The recommendation is not very helpful to the patient as it’s meant for our local oncologist, not for the patient (or we his family) who requested the second opinion. my mum has enough medical knowledge to understand what was written but if you don’t know anyone like that, make sure your local oncologist is ok with you getting a second opinion and reviewing it for you later. - He mistakenly referred to the patient as female, when he is in fact male in the follow up, which shows lack of attention to the case. - He recommend first trying a chemotherapy regime which have already been administered six cycles and shown not very effective for lung metastasis, and didn’t justify why this regimen should be tried again. - No detailed dosages and instructions were given for recommended drugs. - When asked about prognosis, he mentioned that there are so many other factors he does not have access to, but he didn’t ask. The patient summary already indicates that the patient can walk and able to carry on working, but needs medicine to boost appetite. However, he still mentioned that he has no access to such information.

This review is based on the Operator Line experience I had. They were very very rude and made me feel like I was bothering them for calling to ask for help. They asked for the Doctors name and I said just one second I need to find which one because there’s so many that the patient sees and she responded very nasty and asked if I could call back because there was “other people that she needed to help”. I was so uncomfortable that I hung up and didn’t even want to call back because I felt like they didn’t care at all. I hope no one else has to go through this experience.
