When we registered at Weill Cornell ER they were expecting us to arrive by ambulance not on foot. Harlem Hospital sabotaged our ambulance transfer that insurance would have paid for by stating my mom’s emergency surgery case was non-emergent. Anyway, we were immediately taken to triage and my mom placed on a stretcher. They gave her pain meds while they looked over her records. I was given a comfortable chair to sit in next to her stretcher. We were in an area with one other person but had a rotating door of crazies next to us. After being awake for 20 hrs and feeling delirious I found it comical. The gastrointestinal doctors visited my mom throughout the night and had to repeat the cat scan because the images sent by HH weren’t readable. She needed another drainage tube but this time it was placed properly and it worked! They let it drain throughout the night and by the morning was taking her up to surgery. The family waiting room for surgery patients is so relaxing and welcoming. David was the welcome center coordinator who greeted everyone and ran down amenities and what the process would be like. Updates such as surgery start time, completion and when family can visit, are given in real time once you register your cell number for text notifications. They have a small conference room for doctors to give updates to families. They have a charging station for cell phones and will check your bags in until your relative is ready to leave post-op for their assigned room. They even gave me professional courtesy to check my work email once I showed my NYP ID. My mom’s surgery was a success and after a couple of hours in post-op she was taken to her room which only had two other beds. She received a welcome BINDER when she arrived on her floor and a bag full of toiletries. I can’t say enough good things about how my mom was treated and I thank everyone who was attentive and compassionate and took wonderful care of her.

I am so grateful for everything the nurses and doctors have done for my daughter. I’ve never seen so much attention given to my daughter in a hospital and noticed that it wasn’t just me but the other patients. My daughter had to be admitted to the hospital, and when we got a room, I felt like I was in a resort, and I say that because all the essential things needed were there, and the nurses ensured I got EVERYTHING we needed. They would consistently ask if we were okay, and I even got a quick tour to know what they had available. The best part was two nurses that were sent over because there was a shortage that shift didn't know how to answer specific questions, but they went to make an effort and get me answers. Recommend hospital for kids. Also, one of the nurses noticed the bed was extremely high even after bringing it as low as it can go and was excessively concerned that my daughter could Fall. I wanted to tell her not to worry because my daughter knows how to climb down high beds without issues, but I stood quiet, and I allowed her to address that concern because it came out of her heart and willingness to find something more suitable for my daughter.

Weill Cornell Hospital stands out not only as a top national medical institution but also as an architectural marvel. The level of medical expertise and patient care is truly commendable. In addition, the hospital's design is breathtaking, seamlessly merging state-of-the-art facilities with beautiful architectural aesthetics. A testament to excellence in both healthcare and design.

One of the best hospitals to go to. Especially the emergency room. You will get top care with friendly staff and amazing nurses and doctors. Also don't forget about the EMTs and Medics that bring you to the hospital when you call 911. NYP has many great employees. Very happy to be taken here and happy to get the care here. Only thing that isn't so great is the parking and the cost of parking that is around the neighborhood.

Horrible Service. I Explained To My Primary Doctor That I Had A Cyst I Needed Removed & she Said I Needed To Get Cleared Before Being Scheduled. I Have Been Cleared 2 1/2months Now & I Have Called Over 5 Times To be Scheduled & NOT One Person Has Contacted Me In Regards To This Scheduling Procedure. When I Call & Speak To The Operators They Take Me As A Joke & Don’t Connect Me With Anyone Necessarily just Put Me On hold then hang up without saying anything. This has to be due to the workers being able to work from home now and not having supervision I’m assuming.

I am so disappointed that I am writing this. I used to work there - it was amazing, we did everything we could for every patient. Unfortunately I don’t feel I and my family have experienced that recently - has the place just gotten too big? Too interested in the critically ill or the extraordinary type of medical diagnoses that the routine patients are not taken care of? My daughter started the process in arranging an elective surgery with a new patient appointment in April 2022 with the plan to have the procedure in December. All along this was understood, discussed in detail and we thought we were ready to go. The week of the surgery it was cancelled - due to no insurance precertification. We got on the phone both to the insurance company and to NYP patient services. We - meaning my husband - secured the precert. I spoke to patient services more than once, and I was assured a return phone call. This was on December 21. I’m still waiting for that call. The surgeons office then offered us a date that would not leave sufficient time for recovery before my daughter returned to college in January. When we called the surgeons office to decline that date there was no apology, it was a very short phone call - like “well, OK, good luck and happy holidays”. We did not reschedule the procedure. I sent a full letter to hospital leadership and the chair of the department- no response. So I guess my kid doesn’t count. And neither does any of family. It’s a shame - I always told people to go there. Not anymore

Worst experience ever after my daughter’s surgery . Her medical team didnt even inform me that her procedure was over and never came into the waiting area to let me know everything is done and shes okay and instead when I asked if everything went well they looked at me as if I were from Mars and one of the doctors replied shes fine with an attitude. Yet this is supposed to be the #1 children’s hospital in N.y , they should ask me my opinion.

Excellent hospital. Clean and the staff was attentive and I was able to speak with different doctors who then met together to figure out the best treatment plan for me. The only downside was the lady in the ER waiting room, who took my vitals. She was very rude and threw the blankets at the bed instead of giving them to me. She was also disruptive and a hot mess. Other than that, I am very grateful for the attention I received and the comfort during my stay.

The ER psych ward sent my partner to Brunswick (a modern day insane asylum/prison) without any consent or phone calls to me or his loved ones. The doctors and staff here are extremely rude, and they rush and heavily drug the patients throughout the entire process. When I call the facility asking to speak to his former doctor they tell me "it's not our problem". Horrible place and absolutely no help at all.

Went in for out patient surgery at 8am on 8/24/22 for prolapse surgery. and it was the worst experience I and my family ever had at any hospital! Went in for a two outpatient surgery at 9:30 am and recovery was suppose to be 2 hrs. Well doctor never notified my family when surgery was done or how it went or how I was doing. Went into recovering room at 12 pm , was there until 10pm at night. No one had any idea what was going on. My family could not visit me in recovery room. No one kept them updated on my well being. They were so worried about me! Nurses and assistants were rude and unintended. They had no plans for my well being or my release. Being in recovery for 12 hrs is unacceptable and not knowing what the plan was and more so not letting my family who have been there for 12 hrs know what was happening?? It gave my family great anxiety. How come no one kept them updated? Never heard of that before? Of course they were worried! It was suppose to be a 2 hr recovery and turned into a 12 hrs of nightmare. I wanted surgery at Weill Cornell because it’s suppose to be a great hospital! Maybe some areas but not all apparently!! My family even told me place was dirty. No one cleaning waiting rooms. Bathrooms had no soap or paper towels. Disgusting! To top it off, on my release at 10:15 pm I had to wait another 45 minutes for the attendee to retrieve my vehicle from valet parking!!! Tell me who is in charge of this hospital? Who are they hiring? People go to the hospital because they are sick and need help and are at the mercy of hospital staff. This was an outpatient recovery unit. I’m sure not all inits of the hospital are like this and there are many who are on the ball but this unit and their staff get an “F”. So disappointed in Weill Cornell - shame on them and hope who ever is the head of that department gets things in shape!!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hospital network as a place to get quality care. My experience has been some staff and administrators are curt, transactional, and cold. My doctor listened impatiently to my description of my medical issue and seemed annoyed during my initial consultation. Their approach to medical billing is aggressive. They don't email patients about outstanding medical bills, instead they send them to third party collection agencies after 4 months. If you don't open the Connect App after your appointment, you may not know you have bills to pay. My recommendation is to try another hospital network that can provide a higher level of care and can be trusted with your medical care. Otherwise, be vigilant in your interactions with this hospital group.

I recently visited New York Presbyterian Hospital where my sister was a patient. While the medical care received was beyond disturbing, our experience was significantly marred by the behavior of the staff at the front desk.During our time in the waiting area, we were subjected to conversations by the front desk staff that were inappropriate for a professional healthcare setting. The discussion was centered around the conflict in Israel, which was not only irrelevant to their work but also deeply uncomfortable for us as Israeli Jews. Such conversations in the presence of patients and their families are insensitive and can create a feeling of unease. As patients, or in my case, a family member of a patient, we expect hospital staff to maintain a professional demeanor that focuses on providing a supportive and inclusive environment. This kind of behavior detracts from the sense of care and safety that a hospital should embody.I am bringing this to your attention with the hope that appropriate guidelines will be reinforced among all staff members to ensure that all patients and their families feel welcome and respected, regardless of their background.

Nurses and doctors are generally very nice. Actually, seeing the nurses taking care of the patients for couple days here, it had taught me that there are different ways to deal with difficult people. It’s actually quite beneficial. One of the nurses, when I requested some service for the patient, she said to me that the patient was being uncooperative and was not willing to help any further by herself and said that a PA’s coming to talk to him. The situation was understandable as it’s true that the patient was uncooperative due to anxiety. As a customer service person myself I don’t think there’s any problem with her saying that. Just wanna point out that I learned a lot from other nurses that can handle things more maturely and professionally.

If you want to be ignored and die in a corner of a ER hospital this is the place. They also give you apple juice to make you happy. Came here on a Friday afternoon after going to City MD and informing us to go immediately to ER for a shorting of breathing. We checked in around 6:50pm and this moment that I’m writing this review 8:33pm we are still at the waiting area. Who ever came after us are inside getting treated, at list 25-30 people. Better off going to St Barbara’s or Jacobi in the Bronx they might be the lowest rating hospital but they treat you like a human Bean.

I had brain surgery here in 2019 and even though it was the worst day of my life due to the circumstances, the staff was nothing short of incredible to me. They made sure I was comfortable, and took amazing care of me. The nurses were quick to respond if I had any needs, and took care of them as fast as they could, they made me feel like I was the only patient in the hospital and as if I was their primary focus my entire stay. Dr. Steig was my surgeon and he made me feel comfortable picking him to operate on me within the first 10 minutes of talking to him. A woman named Anu (forgive me, i can’t remember her full name because it was so long ago), who works with Dr. Steig I believe, was also amazing. She assured me with any questions I had and made me feel incredibly understood. I was 18, and scared, and the two of them made all my worried disappear from the second i met them. I owe my life to Dr. Steig and the rest of the staff at WC/NYP, I am so grateful for everyone who cared for me when I needed it most. Thank you all!!!

What an excuse for a #1 hospital! My husband Angel Rivera was there since 3 PM and he have to discharge himself and left early in the morning because of lack of service he was there for the 14th hour with no room yet. The reason for the trip to the ER is because My husband got the 4th vaccine booster shot and that gave him side effects and how his chest it’s making it harder to breathe or sleep sometimes. When he was at the ER they told him to wear a mask or they will force him out of there; when he explained to them is hard to breathe with it due to his chest. They did all test results came back negative, but they still want to keep him there? That I don’t get! They told him; they did anything for him but why make him stay so long when I was worrying sick about him.

My name is Keisha H... I was admitted to downtown NY Presbyterian on Friday, 9/1 in the morning. The ER Dr. was so through and ran a lot of exams, took blood work, and was determine to find out what caused me to be wheezing. I do not have asthma. A ER Dr. told me at on 8/29 that there was a small leak in my heart, so that caused fluid to build up in my lungs and he released me. This ER Dr. told me to see my PCP. I am glad I received so much better care at NY Presbyterian. I will never forget the look on the ER Dr.'s face when he explained to me that there is fluid around my heart and within my fluids. It was a small amount, but he needs to know the cause and he could not release me in that condition, so I was being admitted. This ER Dr. also explained that Cornell is better equipped to find out the problem and I would be transferred uptown. I was treated a like a Queen inside Cornell. I had a pulmonary and cardiologist team. They noticed something within my blood work and then I was also assigned a hematology/oncology team. The nurses assigned me to were amazing. Some called me their best patient. SMILE I could not believe the care I received, during my 9 day stay. These medical professionals cared about getting me healthy and making sure my heart area and lungs were cleared before I was discharged. I cannot thank them enough. I never received care like this before. I am beyond grateful. I wish I knew their names, so I can give them a shout-out personally. However, I am grateful for the care I received. They were beyond amazing. THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!

I’m forever gonna be thankful for this place, my daughter was extremely sick on the verge of death when she was born and thanks to the competence of medical staff and technology she is 100% better. Not to mention it’s very well taken care and they made my wife who had a c sections stay very comfortable. The medical staff even offered counseling during the rough time, extremely outgoing. God knows what would’ve happened if we would’ve went to a different hospital

I had to go the ER because of really bad abdominal pain at 4 AM. I am not from the city but was blown away by how efficient and caring everyone was. My only gripes are the security process as well as the overall state of the ER. It's not dirty, just really outdated. But one thing I know is that just because something looks pretty doesn't mean that they provide great care. This place does. I was in a bed in the hallway, but I felt like I was the only person there. I had 3 doctors caring for me as well as a litany of nurses, techs and support staff. Where I am from in PA, you're lucky to speak to a person after an hour of waiting. Here, within 2 hours, I had relief, answers and a plan to help my problem and I was discharged. Thank you NY Presbyterian for getting me back in vacation mode!

Horrible experience at the Weill cornell OB GYN center for 20 week anatomy scan. Technician was terrible. She put me through 1.5 hrs of pain during the scan and did not even speak politely. Besides this Inspite go reaching 20 min prior to appointment,I was told there is a delay of 40 mins from appointment time. So had to wait more than 60 mins for Ultrasound. The Dr after 1.5 ultrasound did not even give any feedback on the anatomy scan. He just came in and said all fine that too in the middle of the appointment. Wont be visiting again

No tolerance , rude to me as I was not feeling well, nurse a male was rude to me and my husband, from 3 pm till 8 pm to have a blood workout, some people were nice but a couple of once takes challenging situations personally and give me hard time, not considering my situation and were looking down at me and my us military veteran husband. I do not recommend at all to use because they make you feel your life or pain doesn’t matter for some of them

I love this hospital! I took my niece Kayla to emergency room because she was having a severe allergic reaction to cupcakes. Her eyes were swelling, she wasn’t breathing, and she was coughing. The ER doctors were friendly and amazing to my 4 year old niece. When Kayla ate the cupcakes, she started to break up at a rash. She started itching, she wasn’t breathing, she was vomiting, her eyes were swollen, and she was sneezing and coughing. She stopped breathing. I called 911, and the ambulance came. She was on life support shortly after she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The doctors are great. I am very happy to come here! They are kid friendly. It is so great!

NYP/Weill Cornell in name only. Poor quality treatment and unprofessional. My 90 year old mother had low O2, high systolic and low pulse. Took her to ER and they held her for seven days. Called every day and visited only to be told by a physician, NP or PA that more testing needs to be done. Prescribed home oxygen and then changed their mind twice about needing it. Discharged with no diagnosis or explanation and with oxygen tanks. Maybe twenty years ago top notch but not now! Beware.

The only reason they get a 1 star rating is because their clergy team was great. As far as the rest of the care, I have never had such an unprofessional team of doctors. Unfortunately I’ve spent lots of time on various hospitals and this was the worst experience of my life. As it turned out after two week of just lying in bed with a back injury, I signed myself out, took a cab, they wouldn’t supply and ambulance or ambulette, despite my inability to walk, checked myself into another hospital ER where I got the surgery I needed and that NYP was incapable of providing.

Highly recommended ! I just had a wonderful experience at the NYP Weil Cornell Pediatric Emergency department. I googled a few local children hospital and read mixed reviews for all of them so it was with great trepidation that I finally decided to take my daughter to NYP. Quite frankly I was mentally prepared for a horrendous ER experience as everyone warns you about. Even packed some food and water anticipating being there all day. Well, as I arrived and started the check-in process, one of the front desk persons overheard my conversation and asked my daughter’s age and called ahead to let them know to except us. That literally set the tone for the rest of our visit. We went right in and after digitally signing documents with a somewhat grumpy (but still nice) older gentleman we were called right away by this awesome triage nurse (I wish I remembered her name!) who quickly took my daughter’s vitals and proactively swabbed her for a bunch of viruses and then carried my bags and all to our room. All of that in less than 5 minutes! We were in the room by ourselves, though I did see some older kids/teenagers in the main room in those little sections divided by curtains. Less than 15 minutes later, Dr Smith (resident) came in and was super friendly, made my daughter comfortable and even had her clapping after having examined her. I was expecting the attending doctor to show up an hour later but I was surprised when Dr. Dana Lauture knocked on the door maybe 15 minutes later. She immediately made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions and explained to me why they didn’t think it was necessary to do more invasive tests given my daughter’s symptoms. And I’m so thankful for that approach! Sure enough, the results from the tests ordered by the nurse came back a couple of hours later positive for two viruses which were causing my daughter’s high fever. Dr Lauture came back and checked on us several times until it was time to be discharged (3.5 hours later as we waited for results and for my daughter to produce a urine sample and also get a chest X-Ray). Thank you Dr Lauture and the whole NYP Pediatric ER team for making my first ER experience so positive. PS: There’s a poster on the wall saying you can ask them for anything to help make you comfortable, including phone charger, drinks etc! In fact they brought me some food :)

A nightmare. Exception for their ENT department, majority of the doctors are nasty, don't care about certain patients (unless you are seriously dying), they all attended the same school of medicine because all of their physicals are similar. The good ones tend to send you for all these tests and never follow up. I have been in severe pain for two weeks, one of the pain management gave me an immediate appointment, but forgot to give me the correct address. I am tired of the incompetence. I will no longer be seeking medical care from NYP/WCM.

I was here today 1/6/24 after being dragged across pavement by someone on a moped trying to rob me (they failed.) The doctors were so kind, not just to me, but to everyone around me. I saw them offer people the best care they could and even go beyond that to see how they could set them up for success upon leaving the emergency room. I was really shaken up after what had happened to me and immediately calmed down because of how kind and focused they were. Thank you so much for what you did for me today. This was one of the worst days of my life and I was lucky that the cab driver brought me here because he thought it was the closest one. It wasn’t the closest so I could’ve ended up elsewhere but I am so happy I didn’t.

If you want to pay extra fees, go to this hospital… they charge you extra for everything.. you can negotiate whatever at the beginning, sign the agreement, etcetera.. after a few months, they start billing you extra fees that you will never understand why and how… I don’t recommend this hospital at all. Service is completely unprofessional, cold and expensive … we are foreigners. We went there for 1 Montj; paid all upfront in their face, signed their estimates and then 1 year later they started generating new invoices for different purposes…2 years later, same… when you ask for answers, they dont know, they dont reply To your Emails neither to your calls. They start forwarding you To different people inside the hospital, Means that the communication is completely a disaster. Forget about the publicity , real experiences are the ones that Matter.

We went to the pediatric emergency. We had no waiting time and then the doctors took really great and competent care of my daughter. They took the problem seriously and made all possible tests to find the cause of her swelling. They were not only professionally competent but also very caring on a human level. They always informed us about the current status and at 11:30 p.m. they even brought us a warm blanket without being asked. Thanks a lot to that fantastic team!

I had undiagnosed endometriosis/large ovarian cysts and one ruptured on Friday morning. I have never been in so much pain in my life and ended up needing emergency surgery. When I say that I was treated like a damn queen from the moment i walked in the door, i am not taking that lightly. I have had many many hospital visits as a child and i never remember such care and concern from every single person that I encountered. My doctors, anesthesiologists and nurses were amazing and I am on the mend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me feel safe when everything else felt out of control. I will forever recommend this emergency room.

My sister was here for a month because of a stroke. She's on the 2nd floor neurology ward. The doctors are good, however be prepared for the nursing staff to steal from the patients. We have had Several things stolen so far, we bring in outside products for hair care, icy hot patches and oils, and slippers/robe and all has been stolen!! Nursing staff are also mean to patients who can't communicate. Several complaints made but administrators do nothing nor care

They are thorough with exams and staff is nice but I’m giving them a 2 star because they take FOREVER to do things. Took about 7 hours to get discharged which okay, these things take time but when we requested a wheelchair, after an hour the order was still “pending”. We got so fed up we left and helped my father try to walk but luckily we found an unused wheelchair on the other side of the floor. Absolutely ridiculous and unfortunate that this ruined the experience with this hospital. It seems most nyc hospitals don’t care about anyone else’s time.

You’d think with the amount this hospital costs you’d get fast treatment especially being confirmed to have H1N1 but no they just put me in a room with a bunch of older people without informing them I have H1N1. They also do not have H1N1 because I personally told them I had it and they moved far away from me (understandably so) they had no nurses checking on me knowing I’m high risk with immune compromised and when I ask for water they say no and gave no reason as to why. All I asked for coming in was to get an X-ray to make sure my H1N1 isn’t causing pneumonia. (Which has almost killed me many times in the past and I informed them of this) Really disappointed I came here thinking service would be faster but that is definitely not true. Been waiting in a waiting room for over 2 hours probably getting other sick. 🙃

When ask they say every two hour he have to turn and I spend three hour. And no one turn him they get him there on his back all the time . You could see he want to turn but he can’t do it by him self . He had no cloth on they just throw the gown on him. I know it’s coved but nurses you all can do better and this was in 8North

They rescheduled my surgery twice. After the first time I was told a patient can only be bumped once. That was a lie. I see many reviews about rescheduling surgeries and should've checked prior to scheduling my own. The staff was really nice, so I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. Professionalism is more important to me than a smile though. Staff deserves 5 stars, the OR scheduler deserves the opportunity to seek employment elsewhere.

Its a real shame. They have some of the best doctors and surgeons, but their staff is beyond cruel. The nurses went out of their way to make my grandpa's 24 hour stay miserable. Very rare do you meet such mean, heartless people. If you're considering this hospital for a loved one, make sure to stay on top of things, because the nurses really don't care about the patient. Or For $1,800 a night you can hire a private nurse.

I've never been treated so disrespectfully in all my life. Was rushed to Lenox Hill private with same problem last week and they were so caring and professional. Not this hospital. Honestly I'm utterly disgusted with how they speak to you and their uncaring attitudes. I also asked for a splint for a broken fingers. I've asked 3 times. 5 hours here and still no one has come to do it. I feel like I'm in a prison where they think they have a reason to talk down to you. I can't stop crying from this experience.

I have been a nurse for 15 years outside of the US and within the US. I had lost hope that the compassion and care that I provided to my patients were a dime a dozen, and one could say they were lost with the new generation of nurses. My aunt was admitted and treated at this facility, and from the first day I stepped on 8 North, I knew she was well taken care of. The level of cohesiveness and teamwork that the staff displayed running to every call bell even if it were not their assigned patient. The effortless compassion given to my aunt even before anyone knew I was a nurse was a good feeling to say yes. This is my profession. She had encounters with the nurses on 8 Central and the CCU, and the compassion and patient centered care were still on point. When it came to providing information and updates about her care, one would say as a family information overload, which we did appreciate. Every provider within their specialty was awesome. Even while she was leaving us here on earth, the support towards my family was exceptional. Even after she was gone, the compassion still kept rolling in. To the administrative team, I hope you are showing your nurses that they are appreciated for a job well done. This was the first time I visited NY, and being in that hospital made me feel as though I want to be a part of that culture. Thank you for your exceptional and selfless care towards D.A my Aunt.

I have now been in the ER for 12 hours. Came in due to fainting several times and a huge gash in my forehead. I have been awaiting an MRI for over 8 hours and all I keep hearing is a blame game. No food. Just got by head stitched up about 2 hours ago, and still no diagnosis. I see now it is only about the money, not care or service.

Big apple vertical hospital, clean and rank top 5 in NYC and top 10 in USA. Clean and modern equipment, despite old heater and sink.

My husband had brain surgery and was in the ICU, it had been an unbelievably stressful few weeks. My son and I came to visit him in the ICU on a Saturday AROND noon and we were screened by security which was fine but after that I said I know where I’m going can I go see my husband and they said NO AND made me wait in LONG line FOR A HALF AN HOUR TO GET A NAME TAG!! I would’ve been in line much longer, but the people ahead heard me talking to my son and thought it was absurd and let me go in front of them. If the name tag is so important, then there should be more than one person on a Saturday afternoon, checking in visitors. And there should also be some provision for IMMEDIATE families, AT THE VERY LEAST THE SPOUSE of VERY ILL PATIENTS so that they do not have to wait in an anxiety provoking hour long line to simply see their spouse in the ICU!! it felt more like a PRISON THAN a healing institution!!! SO WRONG SHAME ON YOU NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN WEIL CORNELL HOSPITAL!!!!! SHAME ON YOU

If you have a mental health illness, do not go here! The partial hospital outpatient program is a joke. The medical professionals there do not care about you. They also know nothing about autism. I was othered by people with medical degrees like crazy. They sorely need disability training and some general compassion. The treatment is so impersonal. Everyone has to do all the same groups no matter what they're there for. Plus if you're there for more than a week or two you'll get the same exact information and worksheets over and over again at nauseum. When you are done with the program, they will kick you to the curb with no help or resources or a transition plan. I felt worse after the program than I did before and now have a wealth of trust issues when it comes to mental health professionals.

Thank you to the amazing doctors, nurses and staff (PICU and children emergency)for your amazing service. You guys are truly heroes. I wish I had another way to thank you, but please understand how grateful and happy I am for giving this mom peace of mind, for being so attentive, profesional and understanding. For explaining every single thing that you did for my child and not leaving any doubts. Thank you!!!! Thank you!! I won’t forget this ever.

I had my daughter at NYP/Weill Cornell in December 2021. Everyone was professional, respectful and courteous. The labor and delivery process went perfectly and my personal OBGYN, Dr. Hockstein, delivered my daughter. I can't recommend him enough! After delivery, the food was actually excellent (for hospital food) and the nurses were just incredible. Lisa A. (L&D nurse) was unforgettable and Sarah B. (post-partum) was wonderful. Overall, definitely a 5 star experience!

Horrible. Came all the way from Queens 1.5 hour trip and hiked 20 mins, to visit my Neice(8mo). And they said I can't see her because I'm bringing my 4 year old child. When 2 staff members over the phone already had confirmed I could come with my child. This hospital has no near by train stations, that was a horrible walk and it was raining out side. Staff members need to be more considerate of people especially people with children. Please take care if your diet, exercise, wash your hands, breathe through your nose and open the windows so that you won't end up in this hospital.

I had brain (Chiari) surgery here in 2016. The surgery was unsuccessful and caused me more problems, and the surgeon did not help. When I reached out to the patient advocate department, they said they looked into things that I complained about in a grievance, but they never did- because if they did, it was black and white what happened- it's a very long story, but it has to do with non consent -implant device an abandonment. Be careful with making sure any "elective" surgery you have done here you get consent forms days before - not an hour before a very major surgery (like mine) Especially since I was not in my normal capacity at that moment. They have not one thing in my medical file proving I knew about what surgery I got and any implants. I had proof of misdiagnosis (wrong in my chart that they said was "a mistake") I have proof that the surgeon abandoned me which surgeons department and hospital denied happened and recently admitted but blamed "office staff" I had proof of social media HIPAA stuff (still do) individuals discussing patients with parties that should not be involved and harassment and threats from someone they affiliated with (do not even try to deny because I have so much proof) My intent is never to bash anyone who is a professional and worked super hard to get to where they are. There are some excellent medical professionals out there. Medical neglect only happens when there is a cover up or dismissal of facts.

I visited the ER Dept March 7th. I got there on a Lyft with a severe leg pain that ended up being a quadriceps strain. I could barely move/walk around. My first interaction was with the security guard at the main entrance. He immediately grabbed a wheelchair and took me to the ER. The nurses, the PA Wojciech Piechowski, and especially, Dr Peter Steel, were amazing! I’m very grateful for their care, knowledge and dedication.

I had once burned my hand really badly and had to spend several weeks in the burn unit. Let me say that it was a pleasant experience. Because everyone there made sure I needed for nothing. There would even be this young lady that would stop by volunteering her time to read, chat and just listen to me. An amazing hospital...

I love the doctors at my hospital but when you call to speak to someone about your hospital bill, which I always pay, some have an attitude. I called to inquire about my bill and Magdalena, if that’s her name that I spoke to this morning at 9am was pretty rude. I asked why would I have to pay for routine blood work in which my Job covers. She told me that it’s my responsibility to tell the doctor where to send my lab work 🧐 when do a patient do that? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’ve always gotten my blood drawn at my hospital and sent to the lab at the hospital. So then she gets an attitude and says I’m trying to help you and if you don’t want the advise then that’s my business and I will be stuck with a big bill and that I’m lucky because my insurance paid the bulk. No I’m not lucky, I work to have this insurance that I pay for out of my check. Anyway, some individuals need to have more phone etiquette.

Be aware, bad reviews expunged every few months so this will probably be deleted. This place is pretty much a joke. #1 hospital designation is fake. Can’t even handle basic care and doctors motto is profit before patients. When my wife was discharged, she was given a repeat pet appointment but when we showed up they told us it’s not schedule even though it was on her discharge paper. After waiting 4 hours, the comical administrator called us to offer to valet our parking fee for our “inconvenience”, never mind to do anything to get the pet done for a sick waiting patient. LOL Don’t know if I should cry or laugh by this tone deaf touch of gesture.

Having to walk using my rollator three blocks from east 70th street, I thought the surgical center was in the same building as my primary care doctor at 505 E. 70th st. This Is where I was dropped off, I ended up walking (with difficulty) all the way to the 68th street (disabled) entrance. I was exhausted, as well as concerned about my surgical consuIt, in the lobby I was met by an angel, named Mercedes. She got a wheelchair for me, and placed me aside until someone could take me upstairs to my 8th floor surgical consult. The nice guard on duty contacted transportation, which relayed to him it would be a 45 minute wait. This was unacceptable, I was already late after walking (using rollator) three blocks, as well as having a limited sitting, standing, and walking disability. Upon hearing of the 45 minute wait, my angel (Mercedes), took it upon herself and pushed me upstairs, and saw that I was checked in. Everyone in the surgical dept. from intake, to the nurse, and doctor Omar made me less apprehensive abut my newly scheduled surgery. After my appointment I was given wheelchair assist (no wait), and I now know there is a back entrance on 70th street. Please pass on my gratitude to everyone. I am truly grateful.

Worst experience ever: long wait time, ignoring patient request and message, non sympathetic and not friendly. They didn’t allow any visitor and then ignored the patient and did whatever they wanted. Even when the patient said that they felt really unwell on their heart, no one seemed to respond.

They provide 3rd world country service and they dont care about it. It used to be better. Now its a totall mess, forget about creativity/ advancement. They cant perform basic operations. Many good doctors also leaving them. Cant believe anyone would come from oversease to get care at WC. I wish i could travel overseas to get a better care. P.s. this review applies to uptown NYP, i had a better experience with downtown, which only very recently became NYP, and assume was just better hospital to begin with

I was in the emergency room dehydrated and in a lot of pain. They left me in a room where I could see how they treated and changed the bandages of a recently operated lady without any type of privacy. In that same room and in front of another patient the doctor came to evaluate me, and they did a laboratory test on me right there. After more than five hours I had to look for the doctor to see what was wrong with me. That's when he tells me that I need more labs and a serum. Almost two hours pass and I ask again what's wrong with me, it's already annoying. After a while they take me to a stretcher to receive the treatment (3 Tylenol) and an IV that they couldn't give me because according to the nurse she couldn't see any veins. Well, I ended up leaving the hospital worse than when I entered because I was not willing to continue putting up with this situation. Awful

The doctors are slow and rude. The nurses are talking all day and just standing around. I was waiting for one thing and no one knew what was going on and then waiting for hours before telling Me I was waiting for a cat scan. This is the worst hospital I've ever been in. They are discriminative and bias. I feel uncomfortable being here and I don't think they diagnosed me properly

Weill Cornell saved my life. I was bleeding out from a ruptured spleen and everyone, from the ER at Downtown Hospital to the ER and the trauma surgical/anesthesiology team at the NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center did their part to save me. The post-op care in the hospital -- the nurses, the aides, the residents, attendings, etc. -- helped me to be able to walk out of there and continue my recovery. If I could give them 100 stars I would.

My mom had surgery their yesterday and the nurses on her floor are giving her several things that are restricted due to the type of surgery she had. Her nurse is very rude and violations her privacy by discussing her with other patients on 8th floor north once I have his name I will update it here I have called, the patient information line says it’s out of service … you have to get transferred 3 times and twice I was hung up only to finally get to Patty the charge nurse who only stated she would have a Supervisor call me back… meanwhile my mom is scared and feels unsafe there I am documenting everything publicly

My mother has been a patient here for almost a week. Getting ANY information from the staff here is the most frustrating experience I have ever experienced!!!!! When you call you can NEVER EVER get the RN in charge of your loved ones care to speak to you! They are either in the midst of shift change, doing first morning meds, etc!! You name it they have an excuse for not talking to you!!!!!! That includes the doctors!!!! Shame, shame, shame on on you all for your lack of compassion!!! It should not take 10 plus phone calls and irate family members calling to get a response!!!! Simply Unacceptable!!!!’ As I write this it has been 10 hours and more than 8 phone calls and I am still waiting a call with an update on my mother!!!! Take your loved one elsewhere if you can for care! My dog gets better care than what they are providing here!!! Inexcusable!!!!

I just wanted to say thank you with all my heart to all the RN's', PA's and Doctors that were working on 5W. You all made our last days with my dad a lot easier than it could have been. You all especially the RN's went above and beyond during our last days with him. You showed so much empathy, warmth and understanding. You all came in making sure my mom was OK and that my dad was feeling nothing at all.. This was a very very difficult time for us and you helped in the process. I can't thank you enough and Coleen... thank you for being by my mom's side when my dad passed and cried with her. That meant the world me. I was downstairs getting my mom a sandwich when it happened. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I never got the chance to thank you all but you will not be forgotten. I only hope this gets to the right people and they get to see what a wonderful staff they have on 5W. Again...from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all that you do!!🙏🙏

Definitely recommend. Great team of nurses, shout-out to the best nurse, I’ve seen Andrew from Alabama! Him and the other nurses were A+. Once he returns home, the hospital will take a hit. Overall a great experience from the people within. Hope to not have to come back, nor for my girlfriend who I was visiting!

My sister was there for a few days and patient care is not a priority for the staff, especially now that due to covid they have 12 hrs when there are no visitors allowed. They can do whatever they want (which is to ignore the patient), as there was no one to advocate for her. When they did come to the room, they were downright nasty and mean. Stay Away!!!

I have my mom at this hospital since Sept 10 and couple more weeks to go (on her treatment)...most of the staff is Nice Tony, Stephanie,Michaela, Paula...MD Ritchie, MD Desai the PAs Jason, Katherine, Marissa...everyone has been a Blessing for my Mom's new life (coming soon). We are going through difficult times (Pandemic)we have to understand that (always is room for improvement) only God is PERFECT!!human been only complaints about fixable things (we should be more GRATEFUL about the real deal we have in US)...We are not in Venezuela, Syria, Colombia, India and other countries for example where things can really go ROUGH WITHOUT ANESTHESIA. And I can talk about it because I am a legal inmigrant from there. So, GOD BLESS AMERICA 🙏🇺🇸

This hospital experience has been nothing short of horrendous. If I could rate it a 0, I absolutely would. The doctors lack any coherent plan for patient care, resorting to lies about signed DNR forms and verbal agreements to cover their incompetence. Patients are left medicated and disoriented, with doctors passively going along with whatever the last one said, neglecting their duties. My mother's bed sores are being ignored, and both doctors and physician assistants exhibit appalling behavior, attempting to force decisions upon patients without regard for their well-being. It's clear that patients need constant advocacy, as the CNAs and nurses are the only ones providing any semblance of care. I'm pursuing investigations and reporting this hospital to the appropriate authorities, as there are undoubtedly concerning practices occurring behind the scenes.
