If you're older(like me) or like the sitcom genre, you'll remember a show called "Cheers". Walking into this pub was a bit like immersing into that scenario. Definitely in its own way, but similar. Friendly, a group of regulars and at the counter and the eventual drop-in (me, brought by my daughter, whom I was visiting and makes this her preferred pub). Welcoming, quiet in the midst of a crazy city, great drinks (specialty... Draft beer) and well served by Corey, the guy behind the counter. Midtown, 46th street west. Comedy nights on Thursdays at the "bomb shelter" basement room. Great place, good people and say hi to Corey when you drop in.

Pretty chill, very accepting of all types of people, nice workers, clean bathrooms, and just a good vibe.

The most laid back and neighborhood-y bar in Hells Kitchen. They always have dog treats for the canine regulars and the bar tenders are a nice familiar face who knows your drinks. Good non touristy crowd and one of the few places with fairly priced bottled beer that don’t require a happy hour schedule

First time stranger walking in I a cold Friday night - I can't speak to the place in detail. What delighted me was that the crowd was quite diverse along several axes, and the music wasn't too loud for conversation. Two great and rare things!

Chris, Sam and Brent always hold it down behind the bar in a fast but courteous way that leaves everyone quenched and happy. They've got an awesome jukebox, dart board and Pac Man game upstairs and downstairs is more darts plus a party basement. One of my favorite bars in NYC -- highly recommended.

The freaking best bar in NYC - love the drinks, love the staff, and love the locals. Highly, highly recommended! Come, spend some time, enjoy some drinks and get to know some locals over some tasty drinks!

Stopped off for a (pint ) never a pint probably 3\4 of a real pint. But beer was ok and good atmosphere for American style rugby. Think it was a team called Billy's buffalo.

Yeah, not bad. They have a decent whiskey/scotch selection. Darts upstairs & down. Bathrooms aren't filthy. We went on a Monday night, so it wasn't too crowded, even during a dart league tourney.

I have lived in the neighborhood 14 years and I went to the Gaf for the first time last night. I was pleasantly surprised very chill place. Great music but not too loud. It was a great neighborhood bar I will definitely be back!

Great standup comedy show on Thursday nights in the basement. Free and conveniently located in Midtown.

Great neighborhood bar. One of our go-to pubs for meeting friends for a drink, to play darts, or play songs on the jukebox. Low key and friendly.

Pretty good bar that I stumbled upon . Met a really cool couple who played darts with me and my friend and bought us drinks and shots. Bartenders were very cool as well. Great atmosphere 👌🏽

Gaf definitely means home as this bar is so welcoming, the prices are so fair for drinks especially in the area and the overall staff are so chilled that you wouldn't mind hanging there for a few hours.

Easily becoming one of my favorite bars in the city. Sam makes an incredible Manhattan and is always so warm & friendly. Love the music here as well.

Super chill bar with dart boards. If you're looking for an easy night with friends, this is the place. Sam, Austin and Cory are the best. BE SURE TO TIP THEM APPROPRIATELY!

This is the neighborhood bar for a friend that lives in Hell's Kitchen. I've only come after work for a drink or two before heading off to another destination. Since I don't drink beer, the options are a bit limited. If you're a beer drinker, this would be a good spot to pop into and enjoy an adult beverage.
