Made a reservation for 8pm (yay breakfast for dinner) so there wasn’t much of a wait time. Had the blueberry pancakes and chicken & waffles. Pancakes were great (definitely a must try) and the chicken was pretty tasty (wasn’t a huge fan of the waffles). I like that the chicken was a fillet/breast because it’s practical and more enjoyable to eat. Oh and the Mabel butter sauce is where it’s at! Overall had a pleasant experience with good customer service.

Cute brunch spot! I had the farmer’s breakfast and it was a perfect portion, tomatoes and sausages were very tasty 😊 blueberry pancakes are fluffy and come with a really nice maple syrup sauce. Tried the hot buttered rum and Mexican coffee - the buttered rum is no joke on its buttery notes! Our server Matthew was also delightful, thank you for treating us so well. It’s a busy place and definitely recommend making a reservation but I’ve heard walk-ins are possible. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

We went to Clinton St for brunch on a recommendation! On a weekday also they are busy so make your way down there a bit handy to avoid the peak brunch hour ! Luckily we only had to wait 10 - 15 min to be seated! We ordered the fried chicken waffle, green salad and sausages ! The flavour in the waffle was really good , would have liked some crunch on the fried chicken , overall the dish worked with the warm maple butter served on the side! The green salad added a good freshness! The flavour and texture of the sausages was hugely disappointing! We tried their pancakes at a different location - time out market (Dumbo, Brooklyn) and hands down these were the best blueberry pancakes we’ve ever had! They are popular for their pancakes and they live up to that expectation! So fresh, soft melt in the mouth , perfect with the blueberry sauce and warm maple butter !! Every bite sings in your mouth ! Definitely recommend! Overall a good place for brunch with an American diner vibe !

This restaurant deserves its rank for having the best pancakes in New York. They are absolutely delicious! I’ve tried the blueberry and chocolate chip so far but I have no doubt that the banana walnut is delicious too. Everyone must try the grits. OMG they are so good! I like the restaurant so much that last year I celebrated my birthday over there with all my closest friends. Everyone said very nice things about the food. Two of my friends had the fried chicken and waffles. They liked it very much. My other friends had rave reviews for the shrimp and grits. Everyone must also try the biscuits and raspberry jam. They are very good! We all ate them up. This is truly a great restaurant. I highly recommend everyone to try the pancakes.

If you can cope with the struggle to get a reservation, the lines, the hype and insanity, you can actually get a very good breakfast here! For Manhattan, prices are reasonable. Portions are big. Pancakes are tasty, although I wanted the blueberries mixed in (not piled on top in goop). Biscuits are good, everyone seemed happy with their meals. Staff works hard to keep things moving.

I can't express how great our experience was here. They were able to accommodate reservation for a large group just a couple of days in advance. Our table was ready when we arrived and the service was amazing. The food came out quickly and I can confirm that the pancakes are TO DIE FOR. Slightly crisp outside, cakes inside...paired with dark maple butter. It really can't get better than this.

They say you haven’t done brunch in NYC if you didn’t hit this spot. Well they’re kinda right, it’s the quintessential place for brunch! For me, they have the BEST blueberry pancakes there is! It’s so perfect paired with their famous maple butter. 2nd runner up is their Spanish scramble which is really delicious! It’s got cheese and sausage so good! It’s kinda hard to get a reservation so book ahead. Also reserve some room for the amazing pastries and desserts! I love the milkshake and the blueberry cheesecake was perfection as well! Great service and servers are always pleasant!

Bold statement coming...Best bacon I've had! There, I said it. Try the blueberry pancakes too. They use wild blueberries and they are much more flavorful than traditional blueberry pancakes, plus there is a bit of crisp on one side, which compliments the pancakes perfectly. There are only 3 locations on Earth and this is the only one in the U.S., so if you are around, try this place out. Walk the food court afterwards. Tons of great looking restaurants!

Breakfast was expensive but the food was amazing. I couldn't choose between sweet or savoury, so I had to get both. Ordered the waffles, two over easy eggs and a hash brown. My friend ordered a Spanish omelette. We waited about 25 minutes for our food but I would say it was worth it. The waffles were amazing. The flavor of the day was strawberry shortcake. It had crispy waffle bits on the outside but inside was cloud like waffle heaven, some kind of strawberry jam syrup on top, fresh strawberries and fresh cream on top, and warm maple butter on the side for me to drizzle as my little heart desired. TO DIE FOR. Though you would actually probably die if you ate this too often. My eggs were perfectly cooked and the hash brown was yummy. Hash brown was quite thick, so the crispy outside to the fluffy inside ratio was a bit off. Still good and not enough to dampen my meal. My friend couldn't finish his Spanish omelette so I had some of that too it was also Poppin. If you don't mind spending a bit and waiting a lot - highly recommend!

I’ve been a here a few times and it’s a classic. The service is great and the food is delicious. However the wait time for this place is very long. Banana and walnut pancakes with maple butter: 9/10 super fluffy and flavorful! Chicken and waffles: 7/10 thin crispy pieces of chicken. Flavor is very good; just wish there was more. I would come back for the pancakes. This place sent into my food coma cause it was so buttery and good.

Pancakes cooked perfectly, eggs delicious, cool drink choices. The inside of this place is super cute, I loved it. Classic breakfast items on the menu nothing over the top nonetheless very tasty. Also loved the boozy milkshake.

We had dinner here and really enjoyed it. We shared latke eggs Benedict which are served over crispy potato pancakes and were amazing (way better than over biscuit), and chocolate chunk pancakes with warm maple butter (really liked the butter and batter and consistency of the pancakes, but the chunks were a bit bitter for our liking. The place was a bit crowded and we felt a bit rushed by the service, but overall it was a nice experience.

Some of the best pancakes you will ever eat. Get the blueberry but share them if you can as it’s a large portion. I usually go with the chorizo scramble with hash browns, which are both cooked to perfection. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing. Visiting words of wisdom - if you plan to go on the weekends, go early or be prepared to wait 2-3 hours for a table. You can only make reservations during the week, which I highly recommend you do. Otherwise you will still have at least a 30-45 min wait during brunch.

Took the train all the way here for National Pancake Month. We made reservations about a month in advance. If you don’t, you have to arrive early early and the wait it more than an hour. Ordered quite a few dishes from the menu… the chicken and waffle was a little questionable. Being a chef, I know when food has been reheated and the bottom piece of chicken was definitely from yesterday (our reservation was at opening). It was even darker than the chicken on top. Overall, food was delicious and fresh (with the exception of that chicken breast). We enjoyed the food better at their Time Out Market location. They also had their pecan pancakes here and they were so good, I ordered a set to take home. They tasted the same 2 days later.

Clinton Street Baking Company is one of those places where there is nothing left to be said. Which is why I never felt the need to pen a review. With over 5,000 favorable remarks that span a decade plus, they are a NYC staple. So what more can be said, nothing really except for give them a try if you haven't already. As many may know their popularity requires you to pack your patience because you may definitely experience a wait. However, you won't be disappointed. The cozy atmosphere, wonderful service and great food will make up for the time spent waiting for a table. On my last visit Matthew was simply a pleasure and provided my bestie with a birthday pancake serenade and we loved it. Just A Note: The Blueberry Pancakes are a must try!

Unless you’re getting here right when they open or have reservations, expect to wait. From my experience, the host hasn’t particularly been the friendliest or best at optimizing seating arrangements so it definitely has an affect on how long it’ll take to be seated. Will it be worth it? Well, I’ve been coming here for years and haven’t been deterred by the waiting game. The pancakes are by far the fluffiest and best I’ve ever had. Other breakfast items are nothing out of the ordinary and overpriced, but I would recommend the grilled chicken sandwich if you want a non-breakfast item. If you’re in Dumbo, Brooklyn, I’d opt for the Time Out Market location instead. The pancakes here are of the same quality and they offer their breakfast menu all day.

Some of the best pancakes in NYC! I came as a walk-in with one other person. We were told a 3 hour wait but it ended up only being about 30 minutes, although I will be making a reservation for coming in the future. The food was excellent and service was friendly and efficient. I got the chocolate chunk pancake with hashbrowns and a latte. Would highly recommend!

Amazing food!! The true taste of New York. Service was superb and the team here were great in recommending what to eat. I went for the fried chicken sandwich with fries (one of the best sandwiches I've ever had)! A few guest beers and a portion of fries and this lunch was absolutely perfect. Great atmosphere too. I would certainly recommend a visit. Be warned - if you do not book, there can be a lengthy wait. Definitely worth it in my opinion

Highly recommend this place! We went for dinner (since it’s hard to get in for breakfast) and it was a great experience. Blueberry pancakes were phenomenal. The cheeseburger was pretty good (chipotle mayo is perfect for fries). Biscuits are a bit dry. Chicken sandwich was great!! French toast was a bit undercooked but good flavor. The waiter was very friendly and the food was all high quality. Nice classic NY jazz playing in the background.

Very nice place and atmosphere. The food was amazing. I was there with a group of friends to have lunch. The place was full, we had to wait for around 40 minutes to get a table, but the wait was worth it. Highly recommended. If you are splitting the check the only take to credit cards per table so just be aware.

We reached there at 8:45am on a Sunday to join an already long line. Restaurant opens at 9am. We ordered their famous blueberry pancakes, hand cut fries, and bottomless coffee. The restaurant itself is nice and clean with very good service, but I didn’t find anything extra ordinary about the pancakes. They were good but not out of the world as some websites and reviews claim. Overall, a decent experience!

We got banana&walnut pancakes, blueberry smoothie, omelet with bacon and onions, and grit cheese! THE BEST PANCAKES I've ever had and I'm not a pancake person but I liked it. Also the milkshake had very good quality. The quantity of everything was great!! Atmosphere: other than it's packed the place is really cute and clean. Service: they were too busy so sometimes they forget something but they were kind and nice. Waiting: if you don't book, you'll probably need to wait a long time!

HIGHS: Wow this food was superb! I ordered the waffles and chicken. I have never had chicken that's so savory and crispy paired with sweet waffles. I loved everything about it and recommend putting hot sauce on the chicken. The pancakes were super fluffy and delicious as well. The dirty chai latte was pretty great as well. Everything I ate here was great and I would definitely reorder it again. Service: Empathetic, friendly, time efficient, and kind. Price: Affordable but on the pricier end. LOWS: The store is jam packed. This place is super popular and the tables are so close to each other.

Heard of this gem via YouTube. Is it the best?...no; but, I can honestly say that it did not disappoint! For $20 you get 3 fluffy, moist, sweet large pancakes, a topping, and dipping sauce. They do close mid day and reopen at 5pm w/ a different menu. The options are plenty! I definitely would recommend it as a must try if you are in the area!

I found this place through Instagram. I was planning to visit NYC, and suddenly, I got to see these delicious pancakes on my feed. Clearly, I had to try them! They were tasty pancakes, I really enjoyed my meal. The service was prompt and friendly. I visited on a Wednesday morning around 10:30 a.m., and the wait time was 45 min to sit at the bar. I highly recommend you do a reservation in advance if you want to spare yourself from a long wait time. I suspect this restaurant stays pretty crowded all day long, every day, and the food is great.

I've been to Clinton St. Baking Company twice now, and I just love this place. They get everything right - delicious food, friendly service, and cozy decor. I arrived before they opened because gets busy during brunch on the weekends. They have seasonal bellinis, which I recommend. The pancakes with blueberries are a must order, the syrup is so flavorful and creamy. The biscuit sandwich was my favorite, but it was honestly hard to choose. The eggs benedict and BLT were both delicious as well. My only critique is why don't they have biscuits and gravy?? I bet it would be so good! If you like coffee, definitely order it here. They use a local place called Brooklyn Roasting, and my coffee loving sister and Dad both rave about it. This is a great weekend brunch option and I highly recommend it!

I went during the week before they close and re open and it was quiet. Great atmosphere. Friendly service and the food is just damn delicious. They have drink specials. Just pay attention to the board. They do make good drinks outside of the menu. Recommended. If you are doing a big group. Reserve and try to go during the week not weekend.

Went on a Tuesday morning and got a seat at the bar. Ordered the blueberry pancakes with a side of house made sausage. The pancakes were the best I have ever had. Huge portions. Must try!

I saw all the amazing reviews and decided to come for brunch. When we arrived we were told the wait was 1 hour and a half, which was fine with us because of all the good things people were saying. Our experience was terrible, we were given dirty forks. There was a dead small bug in the coffee creamer. The water was murky. Even after seeing all this we decided to order food. We sat and waited for 20 min only to have the waiter come to tell us he forgot to put in our order and forgot what we ordered. We told him what we ordered and had to wait another 30 min to receive our food. By the time the food came we were already having a bad experience and couldn’t really enjoy it. Definitely not worth the hype or the wait, I regret coming here and wasting half my day.

This is a busy place, we had book few weeks in advance to get the table for a weekend brunch. The place is nice, we loved the vibe. Food is great too, we tried blueberry pancakes & waffle. It’s a great place to have brunch.

First time here. I had the pancakes! They were delicious. My daughter had the chicken and waffles. She enjoyed them. They’re a bit pricey, but definitely worth treating yourself. For those of you that don’t know the neighborhood, I would not suggest driving there because parking will be a nightmare. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely go back to try different items on the menu.

This place is worth all the hype!!! I had the strawberry shortcake waffle and the southern breakfast and all I can say was wow ! I was definitely satisfied and wanted more! The drinks are great too especially the blueberry lemonade ! Check it out you won’t regret it!

Food was awesome great atmosphere and customer service. Only wish is it was bigger and if you don’t want to Wait to long although it’s worth the wait, I would say get there for opening or try and make a reservation. Overall excellent place with good food. Can’t wait to go back.

This was some of the best breakfast dishes we have had in the city. The eggs were cooked perfect. The bacon was crispy but not dry and glazed perfectly. The potatoes in the pancakes were done very well. I recommend their fresh squeezed orange juice. The must use high quality oranges or a different species from what I am used. Very good flavor.

  • 5/5 Juan B. 4 months ago on Google
They say they have the best pancakes in NYC, and it might be true. We placed a reservation but you could probably just walk in on a weekday for lunch. Lovely vibe and beautiful space with lots of light.

  • 5/5 Ana B. 5 months ago on Google
Everything here was phenomenal, except the waiting time. There’s always a line, so making reservations is highly recommended. The food was worth the wait, though. The chicken & waffles w maple butter were amazing! We also had the breakfast sandwich and it didn’t disappoint — their biscuits are perfection! The service was quick and friendly. Definitely coming back here.

  • 4/5 Natalie K. 8 months ago on Google
A classic, go-to breakfast place. Been coming here for a decade now. Food is great, the maple butter syrup is to die for, menu has always stayed (more or less) the same. It’s always been a place of familiarity and comfort. However, during my last visit, service could have been better. Place was a little less than full for a Monday morning, no lines, but staff still took a while to bring out food, refill waters (even when asked). I’ve definitely had better service during times where there was a line around the block. The watermelon lemonade was also just glorified pulpy herb water, took just one slip. Will probably stick with takeout going forward.

The blueberry pancakes and egg sandwich were AWESOME. Do a reservation or order pickup at the window on the side. The staff moves incredibly fast. We didn't feel rushed but we got our table, had breakfast, and were out the door in 45 minutes. The flavor in the biscuits is a MUST TRY so at least order one on the side. The pancakes were light and ingredients tasted fresh. Oh, and unlike most of NYC, my bill was around 50 for 2 people (because I added a few items) and it was worth it any more!

  • 5/5 Kimberly A. 7 months ago on Google
There was about a 45 minute wait on a weekday for brunch. Put your name down and they will text you when your table is ready. This place is not too big, but the hostesses and servers seem to keep it moving efficiently. Food took another 45-60 minutes to come out. Everything was delicious and presented well. $12 Mimosas were tasty. Prices per plate are between $18-$25.

  • 3/5 Denise W. 8 months ago on Google
Came here while visiting NYC based on a recommendation from a friend. She said the pancakes and French toast were really good but unfortunately those items only come as a full serving and no other items. The place was extremely crowded but it took about 10-15 mins for a table, which was nice given the quote of 30 mins. The chai latte was amazing! I never add salt and pepper to my food but both my niece and I did on the hash browns. The biscuit was very thick and lacked flavor. The tomato jam taste like pizza sauce. The cheddar cheese on the eggs is good. Also enjoyed the sourdough. Staff were all friendly and helpful, although no one every checked to see how we were doing throughout other than an automated water refill. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from going but I likely won’t go back or recommended. They don’t seem to have a shortage of business anyway.

I visited for the first time three days ago. Originally, I would have gotten up early and walked from my hotel on W37 to the restaurant and waited in line before it opened, but I overslept due to jet lag so I took an Uber and arrived at 10:30am. The lovely lady at the reception desk told me there would be an hour and a half wait, but a bar counter seat become available at the right time, so I was seated immediately. I was pretty lucky! First of all, I ordered a Prosecco and checked out the food menu while sipping it. I ordered the Triple Berry Pancake from the special pancakes menu. I had never had such a delicious pancake in my life, I think it must be the best pancake in the world in this category! It was fluffy and the mariage of Warm Maple Butter, Raspberry Souce and Vanilla Whipped Cream was just amazing! And I can't believe it’s $20 only. Oscar, the clerk at the bar counter (I didn’t ask his name but I guess he might be a “Oscar”, as the name printed on the receipt). He was kind and explained everything to me with a smile, his hospitality was excellent. Everything was perfect and I can see why locals and tourists are all go there even if they have to wait in line for a long time. If I were a Michelin inspector, I would have given them 3 stars without hesitation. It made my day and I was able to spend the whole day in a very happy mood. I would definitely like to try other dish on my next visit. Thanks a lot😊 By the way, I visited their Tokyo branch in this morning. It was delicious too, but the one in Manhattan is definitely the best.
