The worst hospital. My sister got in a car accident. She come there since 5 pm was 10 pm and they have not even check her blood pressure. Or check her chest injury. Horrible people working there. They just rude. And don’t care about anyone. Horrible don’t even take your child there. They not even check my nephew. And he was in the car accident too They said we’re busy blah.

I delivered my first child at Good Samaritan recently and I cannot say enough great things about this hospital, doctors, nurses and staff. All of the nurses that took care of me in the delivery room, recovery room and postpartum room were amazing. Their patience, kindness and knowledge were only some of the positive qualities we experienced. All of the nurses took amazing care of me (and my husband too) with our questions, fears, happiness and anxieties of having our first child. They were so warm, caring and gentle with mine and my baby’s needs. Also, the food at this hospital was amazing too!! They always made sure we were fed for all meals and even treated us to a “celebratory meal for two” where we enjoyed some delicious surf and turf! It was delicious!! Thank you Good Sam for your amazing experience!! We appreciate you!

horrible place , a person at the ER has to wait over 24 hours for a MRI. even if the person has a sign of a stroke. but still have to wait over 24 hours, what kind of hospital is this? should this even be called a hospital? if you cant handle it or help the patients just close it or sell. the place is dirty, disgusting and nurses are very rude. and keep people longer then they need to be, just to get paid by the person's insurance company. government has to look into this, into the hospital administration. everyone please give a call to your congress men.

Took my boyfriend with severe chest pain and stomach pain , waited literally 2 hours and there were no nurses to be found. He never got seen by a doctor or nurse I kept asking for help and they would always tell me someone was on their way. Ended up leaving after not being helped at all. I understand they can be short staffed and helping other patients but it’s insane how at one point they all left and the only people around were security and maintenance. One of the maintenance girls tried to help me ask for information she was the only help we got all night.

After visiting Good Samaritan hospitals ER with my severely disabled daughter I would never take her back there. The worse hospital ever. When I came into see her because her own nurse went with her there, I asked 3 times to talk with her nurse. ( Mike ) I was told was his name. 3 1/2 hours passed and her nurse never came to check on her once. She can’t speak or ask for help. Someone should have at least been concerned enough to check on her especially since I had asked to see her nurse. Her medication wasn’t given to her and no one cared. I had her nurse come to the hospital with the medication to give it to her. When her nurse arrived with the medication I was told I had to wait for a nurse to come to her bedside in order for it to be given. I then said nope I’m going to care for this child like she should be cared for and I gave it to her. She could have seized out and no one would have noticed or cared. I used to praise this hospital back in the day. At this point I wouldn’t send my dying dog to be treated there. Don’t tell me to send a message to jay whatever cause I wasted enough time in your ER and nothing will be done or said about how they treat people. Now I understand shortages of nurses, but then there shouldn’t have been so many standing around taking when patients are screaming out for help or waiting over 3 hours to just talk to the nurse. Hands down worse treatment ever. Don’t go there you’ll be sorry if you do. Administration should be ashamed of themselves for not stepping up and fixing this once great hospital. 👎

This hospital is extremely slow!! My wife has been there today eight hours and hadn’t gotten helped! They are so quick to check you in and then leave you for dead. My wife went there Under the belief she may be miscarrying around 6 AM on a Tuesday morning. She seemed the first nurse, one doctor did a sonogram, And waited and waited and waited for the results. It is now 1:23 PM, she’s been there since 6 AM, still no results. I asked the ER or a phone call if they could help her both employees who picked up the phone had an attitude and still She hasn’t been helped. One lady said she’s sorry there’s over 100 people here which is ridiculous. They have too much staff in the emergency room to not get anything done. And they think that because there are so many patients, an attitude is excepted which is not. I’m completely disappointed

It feels as if they don't care. This is just a 9-5 for them. Can't pick up the phone. Can't call back. I'm disappointed because like most people trying to get in contact with their doctor, I just want to feel better. No one should have to jump through hoops to get someone to care enough to help. Be better good sam. God is watching and he's shaking his head at you.

I write this post with great concern for Good Samaritan’s Patient Billing Department. Calling to pay a bill is nearly impossible when you are looking for someone that can provide an itemized bill . Knowledge of insurance plans and how each of them work is not a skill these reps embody however they are scripted with attitude and lack paying attention to detail. I’ve tried to speaks to supervisors or managers but never gets a return call . This place doesn’t listen to patients they dismiss us and this is unkind.

People are front reception are on a power trip, they have such a huge issue with allowing ppl to go up and visit their injured family. I went to the bathroom And they followed me because they thought I was going to sneak up to visit my family in their room. It’s honestly like they’ve never had anyone from their own family in a hospital. They have no sympathy. As soon as visiting hours are over they come up to you in the waiting area trying to kick you out. Not sure why after all these negative reviews about the reception that they still haven’t fixed any of these issues. Please do better and please think like a human and have some sympathy for people trying to visit their family.

My wife has MFM visits every Thursday. We specifically made our appointments early so we would be able to park. The parking is FULL every time... at 8 am... but when we get inside MFM is totally empty. FIX IT. EXPAND YOUR MFM PARKING OR ACTUALLY POLICE YOUR 8 SPOTS. (When I started to record a man alone in a suv saw me and immediately pulled out but my car was to far away now to go back and get, clearly people are using it as temporary parking unrelated to MFM) I understand you are under construction but this is absolutely unacceptable. You are a walking lawsuit waiting to happen making pregnant women walk a quarter of a mile through your lot that's full of construction debris and treacherous pavement/nonaccesible sidewalk. Not every person has someone to chauffeur them nor the ability to be dropped off and picked up. It's disgusting you're allowing this to happen, shame on you. (Updated Wednesday November 23. Still ongoing, they are aware and choosing not to do anything about it) (Added two new videos same problem two weeks in a row) Changed review to two stars because they had to move mfm parking to work on the front, problem solved but not for the right reason.

If there was an option for no stars this place would have it, one of the worst experiences of my life. Please I advise no one use this hospital. Complete horror show while there. Still currently waiting for them to send over antibiotics I need for oral surgery over 12 hours later after being discharged. No one is on the same page they are all over the place. No on has answers. One swears on one thing the next tell you a completely different thing. How do you run a hospital like that. Only choose this location because ambulance advised I go there. Next time I will be taking my chances driving to stony Brook. This place should be ashamed of the service that was conducted.

Ew. They don’t deserve a star. My mother died here and they sent a letter to our house asking “how was your stay”……. Edit: So I reached out to the email that was provided on the review. I was told to leave a brief message of what happened. I was then told a patient advocate would reach out to me. This was over a month ago. Still no follow up. They are not genuine and do not care. Them leaving their contact information under each negative review is all to make them look better for the public. I’m curious to know if anyone else that reached out actually got assistance.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I was born at this hospital, and have been a patient there myself many times and both of my children were born there. The main hospital in general is actually pretty good but the emergency department proficiency in treating patients has deteriorated so much over the last several years. The ED IS SEVERELY understaffed for the amount of patients that they see. I have had the misfortune to be there three times in the past two weeks. Once with my mother in the mid day, and the same day in the evening with my niece. And then a week later again with my mother. There are gurneys, reclining chairs, and even some hard, non-upholstered office chairs with sick patients in them, lining evey wall space and hallways, circling the countered island where the medical staff has there computers. All WAITING to be taken care of. I couldn’t walk more than 3 feet without running into a patient. The nurses can’t keep up, although most of them seem to be quite competent. Sadly, There are many who are not. My nieces nurse actually started arguing with her that she needed to be patient when she was begging for pain medication for over four hours. I needed a break from sitting next to my mothers bedside so my sister came to relieve me. She felt like she was in a Third World country. As I am typing this, my husband is having a kidney stone attack. His doctor has admitting privileges at Good Samaritan. We will NOT be going there even though I live a few blocks away from the hospital. The really disturbing part is that Hospital management and even corporate management are well aware of all the deficits in the emergency department a good Samaritan. The situation that I have described above is not new or novel. It has been going on for a very long time. Long enough for the problem to be addressed and mitigated. Maybe once the new wing is built it will be better, but until that happens our last choice will be good Samaritan Hospital emergency room.

Terrible experiencie in this hospital with my mom. I give one star because is no option to give 0. Doctors, nurse and nurse aid are very rude and unprofessional. My mom leave the hospital with infecction that they didn’t treat or probably they not even know she have it.She is been treat now somewhere else. If you love someone take it to this place. It will be a big mistake. They keep asking me want I want to do with my mom look like they have no idea how to treat her. Wrong diagnostic and then call againg and change what they said before. Beside two nurses name Danielle and Cristina who were wonderfull the rest of the staff is a waste of time. Dirty place. Their excuse for everything is Covid. If the hospital is short in people who work there they should stop taking patient just for money!!!!

My father was in the emergency room. There is no call bell for the patients if they need assistance. The staff always says someone will be there and no one comes. My father is a hip surgery patient and they did not know how to transfer him from the stretcher to the hospital bed. I work in the hospital and this is the first time I will say it looked like a mass casualty. There was a lady on a stretcher on the outside of the doctors area and had to tell someone needs help to get the staff over to the room. Then when they get there they say what’s going on. The language the staff uses around the visitors and patients as they talk among themselves is inappropriate. They curse and I just can’t see how that’s acceptable. Lot of improvement is needed. When I left my day early in the morning I told him if you need to get a diaper change and no one is coming you have to yell you need help. The staff don’t read the chart and did not know he had hip surgery and ask him could he get up. Then I told them no because he had left hip surgery. The nurse said oh okay he had surgery on both hips. I said to her I did not say that. Waiting on results from the lab and finding out if he is being admitted to a room or going back to the rehab was like pulling teeth ti find the answer. Not a good experience

I went here after doing so much of a drug and I couldn’t calm my heart down. They said they’d take my blood after leaving me on a bed in the hallway because they were packed at 8:00 am and I actually fell asleep on the bed after fading off as if I passed out. Not one nurse or doctor bothered to wake me up, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did not check my pulse. I was not hooked up with vitals so they couldn’t have known. 3 hours later I discharge myself and they just… let me. No concern whatsoever. I don’t know how you forget about a patient who feels like they’re life is at risk.

Poor experience, stroke care nurses are not knowledgeable regarding patient care and openly say we are “keeping you and ordering tests to prevent liability.” Throughout entire stay, my family member exhibits minimal understanding of test results, treatment plan, symptoms as they relate to diagnoses. Would recommend more attention directed towards communication, reduction of implicit bias, and properly informing patients about the care they receive.

Dec 30, 2021 I gave birth to my first baby at this hospital. Looking at many bad reviews I was scared to go there, but my experience was perfect. Thanks to amazing and true hero DR. SHERIDAN. She made my baby's birth day to go smooth and calm. She explained everything in detail and my induction went great. I delivered a chubby healthy baby almost 9lbs. Nurses were very good through out my day. Thank you Alyssa and Yolanda.

Should be 10 STARS NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS HOSPITAL....AWESOME AWESOME STAFF OF ANGELS AND caring staff that made my stay for surgery very comfortable and I did feel loved and cared for as if I was in gods hands or surrounded via Angels....the nicest people, not one ALL...ALL POSITIONS AND ROLES...it felt as if I've known everyone all my life. After 54 years on earth there is NO other place I would want my family or anyone to be a guest. They all made me feel special and at ease my entire duration : thoracic laminectomy performed by the Micheal Jordan of surgery ( DR. SALVATORE J. PALUMBO)...very impressive guy yet humble and modest...with a team that delivers PERFECTION and consistency. I have NEVER felt so at ease perhaps oblivious to actually being in a hospital...wow ❤every❤ single person so CARING on all levels. I had to shed a tear leaving. Again thankful tenfold ...cannot believe I had no FEARS. FIRST SECOND OPENING my eyes the TEAM and LAURA WAS like heaven in my eyes so caring and wow I felt few area's of body that were seemingly dead or lingering with a lack of movement or dull pain had dissipated after 12 years of suffering had felt differently so soon and subsequently reaching my room the staff was Awesome and so caring ( everyone at all job levels) I feel blessed to have had such a team surrounding me my entire stay . Bless them all ...I'm still impressed...yep love you all 💪🏿✌🏾❤

I know a review of a surgery is sort of strange -- but I have to say that Good Sam's staff did an INCREDIBLE JOB in preparing me for a surgery that had me on edge for months. The surgery itself was, luckily, a success, but the highlight for me was the attention by all of the nurses in pre- and post-op. The staff in the OR could clearly tell how nervous I was (a recently married woman in her late 20s, getting a surgery that could potentially result in fertility issues) and were so, SO incredibly gentle and kind. From the nurses who checked me in, to the anesthesiologist (Dr. Chen!), to the transport staff member who wheeled me into surgery, they truly helped keep me calm. Post-op, the staff on the floor was incredibly communicative and advocated for me every step of the way to ensure I knew exactly what happened during the operation. Considering there's no visitors currently allowed at this time to hear results with you/wait for you in the lobby, it was a tremendous relief to have nurses who were hyper-focused on making sure I had every answer I needed prior to being discharged. In the era of Great Resignation and tremendous pressure our health care workers are going through today, I have to say, the OR team at Good Sam take their jobs seriously and care about their patients. Kudos to them.

Had to have emergency back surgery. Should have gone into the city. This place is the worst. Left hospital in worse shape than when I got there. Doctors didn't answer questions. Emergency department was a disaster. Nurses were curt.

This hospital has mis diagnosed me for the last year and a half. Also, sent my fiance home doped up on benadryl all for massive kidney stones. They only did this to keep her quiet due to screaming for severe pain and throwing up. They do nothing to help. Luckily we both had a second opinion and on out first visit, we had the correct treatment. My fiance had her gallbladder removed and I was able to cure my health. We will never step foot into this hospital again.

I went into the ER at Good Sam on Monday evening and the first problem should have turned me away. The smokers around the entrance caused me to cough. No security to move them along (at least the required 50’). There was confusion inside the ER in which I was in pain and sitting in a chair for several hours and when finally called in for a CAT scan, I was told to leave my sample on the floor; no name, just told,”Put it down, that’s not my responsibility.”. I told her that leaving my specimen on the floor would cause it to get discarded and the nurse told me to leave it or reschedule the scan. My wife got upset with that response so I said I’d take it with me. Unfortunately, when I went to get the scan, they wouldn’t do it because I was supposed to have a drink but no one informed us to do so. Once I arrived back at the ER, I was told I didn’t need the drink and they were going to reschedule me. Meanwhile, I’m still holding my specimen!! Thank God I was so drugged that my pain was happening while I slept (still in a chair). Too many other incidents to list while there, but trying to get out was more confusing. Was told the day before I would be leaving and the doctor would sign off on me. I saw different doctors all day, each one saying that another was needed to be released. I saw a last doctor at 2pm, I was told the same thing. I sat in my room, asking my nurse almost every hour, she was as confused as myself. Finally, around 5pm, I was fed up and called my nurse, again, for an update. She came in and saw my upsetment and told me she “just received” a text saying I could leave! I was so ecstatic that I jumped up and started packing. My wife will review this place herself because we will NEVER come back here again!!

Brought my daughter into the ER @7am - excrutiating pain from a very large cyst . Waiting on my private Dr who was informed we were there . I called his office ) - the nurses /reception from the start in the ER was the WORST care you could ever want for yourself let alone your child . They are nasty , they ignore you , and most are very unprofessional ! They put my daughter in a room next to the bathroom (1 bathroom used for the entire ER) and threw a gown and a plastic bag (literally thrown ) on the bed and walked away .. the place was a mess and full of garbage pails I went to ask her for help as my daughter was crying in so much pain she couldn’t stand. She put her hand up to me and said not now I’ll be with you in a minute !!! Excuse me ?!?? Not to mention never returned. After 1 1/2 hr of sitting there I went ti the desk and demanded for my daughter to be seen. The woman said how long have you been here? I said 1 1/2 hour she said sweetheart people are waiting here 3 days !!?? I demanded a nurse ASAP and pretty much through my weight around if not I’d prob still be there .. after about 10 min a wonderful nurse named Alexandra S. came over and with another nurse named France (sorry if I spelled wrong ) to take some info and vitals . I was told the process unfortunately in the ER can take time but she made sure to give my daughter pain meds . She even came back to see how she was and gave her an ice pack and took the time to take care of her .. Very sincere and comforting while being in 10 different directions … this ER better get help or serious issues will not turn out so well.. We then waited 5 hours till she was seen again by another nurse who came in to check and admit her .. 5 hours !!!! Said it should be soon .. I asked another nurse if my daughter can get a pillow she neeed to rest on as her discomfort returned and pain meds wore off .. she told me give her a minute .. pillow came 1 1/2 hours later ..finally after 7 1/2 hours my daughter was brought up to surgery only because Ms. Margaret Stewart took the initiative to check on the status of my daughters file and made sure to call upstairs 2x to let the surgical team be aware of her coming up. She was very professional and very kind . Pretty much took the situation in her hands . I give Margaret Stewart & Alexandra S 5 stars for “THEIR”professionalism and bed side manner. These two ladies are way too over qualified to work in that “hell hole “ .. honestly I wouldn’t bring my dog there for medical attention. Stay away from this place. Go to Southside ER !!!

Was brought right in to the children’s emergency room wing. Was put in a room with half the room with garbage on the floor and blood splatters also in the floor. Put my daughter in the bed, no blankets and it was freezing. I had to find someone to give her a blanket. Was middle of the night so not much staff and barely any patients at the time. No one came to check on her after the CT scan for hours. The man who wheeled her left us in the hall waiting for her scan shaking cold again with not even offering a blanket to her. One nurse was very friendly and the CT scan staff was amazing but all other staff was rude and just shouldn’t be working with kids or maybe not have the night shift if they get annoyed at you asking for water for your daughter. I’ve read all the negative reviews but I’ve been here before and it’s been fine. Tonight, I completely see why all the negative reviews

The ER supervisor and head nurse are negligent and should be fired. My father was there 4 times in the last week because he kept falling, hallucinating, shaking, and throwing up. They kept sending him home like that, a few hours later and saying he was fine. Sure enough he had to go back last night so he went to Southside hospital this time. They’re keeping him because his thiamine levels are dangerously low and deadly. I still don’t know if my father is going to be alright. Apparently this condition can develop into Wernicke-Korsakoff disease aka Wet Brain which is permanent brain damage from alcohol. The truth was, my dad was drunk so they didn’t want to deal with him, so they sent him home to die 4 times. They should of been able to tell from his blood work what was wrong but I’m not even sure if they did blood work because they sent him home without discharge papers(or his iPhone by the way and when we went back to pick it up, they had no record of it even though I saw it go in the ambulance with him). My dad also is saying the nurses were very abusive and mean to him. When I called the Emergency room, the supervisor wouldn’t give us any information because he knew they screwed up. He asked me why I wanted the names because he was trying to find out if we might start a lawsuit and when I told him we might, he refused to give any information. He was a very rude, unprofessional, and irritating man. So I guess they just hire any idiots off the street to work there. Straight up sociopaths working there. Don’t trust them with addiction, the mentally ill, or elderly. NEGLIGENCE and POSSIBLE COVER UP

They have a security guard there, who because my son returned long enough to hand a man a cigarette, threatened my son and told him, "don't think you are hanging out in here". My son is a grown man dressed nicely and did not require that remark. They hired a street person and gave him a blue shirt The nurse at ER Was RUDE AND ACTED LIKE SHE was doing us a favor. She thought because she had RN AFTER HER NAME SH COULD SPEAK DOWN TO EVERYONE.COME BACK TO ME WHEN YOU HAVE NP after your name or better. They kept insisting our neighbor was was admitted my ambulance, was an alias. I gave them all her ID a Thou

During my stay here after giving birth, I have met some wonderful nurses at my floor and from the NICU department. The surgeons did a great job for my emergency surgery. One of them was a young OB gyn doctor. She was amazing. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name. Wish I could give 5 stars but no. Because they are understaffed. Sadly when you call for help, it can take a while for someone to show up to help you. This hospital need to hire more nurses and other medical professionals. Overall not bad at all. Very clean too!

I delivered my baby here 3 weeks ago. The staff at labor and delivery were exceptional in my recovery. The OR team and my doctor, Joseph Livoti, that delivered my baby via a scheduled c Section made it very comfortable and pleasant. I was in an and out in 48 hours. And the lactation consultants that helped me with nursing in the hospital and their support I receive even now that I am home is extremely helpful and appreciated. Thank you everyone

I can't understand how these doctors are doctor just to prescribe two tylenol. Yesterday I had car accident and only because I didn't arrive in the ambulante and I was not bleeding, the doctor said it was nothing compared to other accident. They did not even take the time to do an x-ray. I don't know which is worse South side or Good Samaritan

I have had 3 surgeries there within 1 year. Their oncology teams are fantastic. My husband and I were just disappointed that he couldn't come up to my room after the first big surgery which was the day before until after noon. And the receptionist for the hospital need to learn manners. All in all fantastic services.

I see all this bad reviews but I think it’s cause they had nothing better to do then go to the hospital for a simple cut or something that can be taking care of at home.... I had surgery here few days ago and I was treated very well as soon as I arrived for numbness they helped me right away and put me into a bed did a CT, MRIs and blood work EKG and ect..the next day I had surgery cause they had found something serious everyone took action and helped me as much as they can the CNAs, RNs and Surgeons were absolutely AMAZING!!! i don’t care what other people think I was in good hands and that’s my opinion THANK YOU! again the service was good thank you for taking care of me.

It's bad when I am writing this review on a hospital! The other night I couldn't walk due to having open sores on my ankles, I spent 7 hours in the emergency room, the only test ran was ultrasound on my legs, as far as labs, they pulled a copy of my blood work from the computer, those labs were 2 months ago from a different hospital, in the end, they didn't address the problem, not even a bandaid and in the end push open sores off to my primary care doctor. I will never go to that hospital again, for 7 hours 6 of it I was just ignored then the last hour they sent me home

I was there last night Oct 15th at 3:20 am. I got hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee early that day and decided to go there. I was treated good but the blonde that checked me in was rude when my girl asked if she can go in the back with me she yelled from the triage room no u have to wait with a attitude and gave her dirty looks .

The worst hospital, I begged my dad to tell the paramedic southshore instead but he came to this garbage hospital. No one tells you anything, they discharged him even though and I quote " we don't know what's wrong with him" I would wait hours upon hours for a call about my dad and since I have childern under the age of 12 going to visit wasn't easily accessible. The nursing manager on floor in 2 main, Patrick had the nerve to go into my father's room to complain about me because I had to call the paitent advocate line to get answers from the staff about my father. Real professional. I've come across some great nurses the last MONTH he's been in the hospital but the doctors clearly aren't doing their jobs. How do you discharge someone atfer they were in a coma for 10 days, Needed to be recessitated 2x, and have no clear answer wth happened and than 3 days atfer discharge they end up back in your hospital for the same issues and you again discharge with no answers? If you care about your well-being or your loved ones well-being..go to southshore it's 3 mintues from this dumpster fire. They must forget people can see medical charts online now and god for bid you ask questions it's like you're annoying them. This place is a joke Oh also. They discharged him and didn't tell me he can't walk so surprise when I got him home trying to get him out of the car and into the house. How the he'll do you discharge someone who CANT WALK. I hope this hospital gets shut down

So i had to bring in my daughter in for imaging she’s 2 weeks old and in between insurances from unborn to her own insurance. Make a long story short they turned me away because they couldn’t bill it thru the insurance. My pediatrician said that’s ridiculous and sent me to another place right away. This is totally ridiculous and unacceptable. I dunno how you can turn away a 2 week old baby because they couldn’t figure out the insurance. I dunno how you can call yourself a catholic hospital and turn away a baby!!

Where do I start. Horrendous, as I was walking out someone was complaining they were never going back there. Nurses were terrible. Such a tiny few that cared to do anything which is unfortunate for those who do their jobs. Patients were throwing cups with water across the floor after screaming for forever just to get someone’s attention. This place is such a mess. Nurses were rough with my mother after she had spine surgery. They were changing her bedding and going so fast I had to start screaming at them. Can’t find anyone for help, even when you do they don’t even try to do it right. Literally all day just to be put in a room, when they said it’s ready it took 4 hours to get taken up there. No answers to what’s going on. Didn’t offer food. Will be reporting them to the department of health & hospital licensing division. Understaffed or not nobody should go into a patient centered field and treat patients the way they do. They were overpacked and kept taking people anyway lining them up against the walls. This hospital shouldn’t even be open at all the way they run it. 0 stars if I could.

I delivered my second son at Good Sam and the staff was amazing especially the NICU nurses. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. I had several surgeries there as well and I have always had a great experience. Thank you for all you do!

Absolutely outrageous! Spent one night in emergency , it was like M.A.S.H in fact worse ! A woman on a bed less that half a meter away from mine (I am not exaggerating) spent 7 hours continuously spluttering coughing vomiting, sneezing shouting for 4 hours in my face. . I tried calling a doctor who proceeded to try to guilt rip me a she was in pain how could I be so heartless. ! Doctor also assured me she did not have Covid. We’ll Turns out he flat out lied to me, an hour later doctor informed her she had Covid. And they kept her there. (Against regulation) Since returning on Sat myself and all my family have the worst flu like symptom we ever had. This was worse than WW1 and worst part is nobody cares. There’s no integrity even from Doctor. Lied to me to shut up. Thanks doc! How far as a nation we have fallen .

Nov. 14 update - I sent an email to Justin.jaycon as requested below with my contact info. No one contacted me to discuss my experience. I then sent another email to Justin stating that I had not been contacted by “team members”. I received no feedback to that email. Either there is a team that is ineffective and unresponsive or this Justin.jaycon response is a ploy to give the perception that the hospital has a mechanism in place to resolve the incompetence that is pervasive throughout this hospital. At minimum the president of the hospital needs to be replaced and it is clear that there needs to be a clean sweep of top tier management at Good Samaritan. If you value your health and your life stay as far away from this hospital as you can. Initial complaint - If zero stars were an option, that is what I would have given as a rating. Was very sick in July, bordering on physical collapse, the ER personnel were verbally abusive and made errors in my medical records. They refused any health care treatment. I complained to the manager of patient advocacy who yelled at me on the phone when I asked for an apology and correction of medical records. Horrific experience, stay far away from this hospital if you value your health.

They charged over $2,400 (after insurance reduction) for simple stitches on a small cut. I was shocked to see the bill as high as it was. Wish they would’ve been more transparent on pricing before the procedure, I would’ve went to a different place. Absolutely predatory.

Last night ( Nov 30th 2023) my daughter in law took my 4 yr. old grandson to good Sam in west Islip new yok because he was vomiting. She got to the hospital around 1. The nurse drew blood and failed to remember to remove the tourniquet that was used. This was not noticed for 4 hours. My grandson kept complain that his arm was hurting, and the doctors and nurse brushed off my daughter in-law when she told the doctor what he was saying . he had an iv drip in his arm because the was dehydrated from vomiting. So the doctors response to “ mt arm hurts “ was “ of course it’s going to hurt if he keeps moving it “. When they finally went to look at why his arm was hurting it was purple and the tourniquet was found . my daughter in-law asked why that was still there and the doctor said he didn’t know and asked the nurse. Still not removing it why my grandson arm was purple .When the doctor tried to take it off he didn’t even know how and the nurse had to help him. the only reason she didn’t see it herself was because she had covered him with a blanket to keep him warm and he had a t-shir that covered where it was placed. The nurses and doctor realized they messed up and tried to damage control saying they would do an incident report, which had I been there I would have waited for. They gave her a referral to see a neurologist to check for nerve damage. improper or prolonged placement of a tourniquet because of poor medical training can lead to serious injuries, such as nerve paralysis and limb ischemia. Tourniquets can result in temporary or permanent injury to underlying nerves, muscles, blood vessels and soft tissues.it may lead to blood pooling at the venipuncture site, a condition called hemoconcentration. I called the hospital and was placed on hold for 10 to 15 minutes until I called back an insisted to speak to someone they gave me the nurse manager and the nurse manger gave me a patient advocate who we left a message with several times this morning and still have not received a call back improper or prolonged placement of a tourniquet because of poor medical training can lead to serious injuries, such as nerve paralysis and limb ischemia Tourniquets can result in temporary or permanent injury to underlying nerves, muscles, blood vessels and soft tissues.it may lead to blood pooling at the venipuncture site, a condition called hemoconcentration. She has called and I have called and still no call back . he is 4 years old and already afraid of the hospital. Now he has a good reason to be. I will not stop calling these people until someone calls me and gives me answers.

Asu south is amazing! i spend a week there and i didn’t have to ask for anything or complain. They were above and beyond amazing staff. The staff was always doing something for someone and not once sitting there on their phone. I did not even feel like i was in a hospital fyi which i hate hospitals., but this one i hated to leave.

Why this hospital have such low ratings baffles me! I gave birth here and also have my 2 yr old son here with a very serious infection. The nurses both places have been phenomenal! Every single one of them. Doctors may take a while to see you and give results, but they are so good I can’t complain! The food is even great and the number you call to order have the best staff. If I had one complaint it would be the sheets and blankets are in terrible condition and make it feel dirty.

Shujaat Bhatti called twice to confirm that we understood the changes in my mother's prescription charges and even offered to give me his personal cell number in case we had questions. He was great. Unfortunately my mother waited 36 hours for a room, missed 2 meals bc no one thought to order for her and she left without her clothes bc they got lost.

Never really had an issue with the staff but tell me how I go in for 2 days in a row for a covid infusion and there's blood on the table that's not mine. Day 2 they tried to put me in a different recliner chair and it was broken and I kept telling her and the nurse kept insisting I wasn't lifting it up right. Also why didn't they put an allergy bracelet on me day 2? And how come the 2nd room had a FILTHY table? Then they escorted me into the room I was the previous day. When I got my Iv put in last night I told the nurse my blood was on the table and she's like "oh that's ok" instead of cleaning it up. I mean at least it's not south shore hospital.

I don't know why this hospital doesn't have such good reviews?? I arrived here 3 days ago with my 5-year-old boy, very bad, crying because of a stomach infection. We went in to emergency room and the attention was immediate. After a day of observation, they sent us to the second floor pediatrics and here they gave us a very clean room with everything we needed to be able to pass the night comfortably, the food was super good and enough to two people seemed like a hotel, the nurses, doctors all those who attended us super friendly and human the entire pediatric team from emergencies to the floor are excellent. Housekeeping dept a 10/10 I spoke with a very kind lady Julissa Almendares EXCELLENT! . Our RN Loren a beautiful and kind person. Thank you to each and every one of you who attended us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏🏻💯

I had surgery today there with Dr. Capizzi. I’ve never been to this hospital before. From the moment I entered the nurses were amazing. Karen Lopiccolo to start, really calmed my nerves as I was so nervous. Then up in the OR Dr Hahn (i think that’s how you spell it) was my anesthesiologist and he too, amazing, great bedside manner. Jennifer M (I’m sorry I can’t remember her last name) was my OR nurse along with Nikki, GREAT, I really cannot say anything more about them, they made me feel safe, comfortable and at “home”. Even the guys who transported me, very patient, kind and compassionate. Then in recovery, I cannot remember her name because at this point I was so groggy and couldn’t see but she had glasses and was amazing amazing amazing. The staff here really listens to you, they ALL have an amazing bedside manner. I’m so glad I was here with this friendly staff. I couldn’t have asked for a better visit. I wish I could give them all 100 stars!!!
