This spot is truly a hidden gem in NYC. I'm always looking for unique parks in NYC and when a YouTuber I follow shared this one I immediately added it to my list. This is a very small park, but it's really cute. The style of it reminds me a lot of the High Line (though it's not linear or anywhere near the size). There are also some nice views over the water. This is probably the quietest park I've been to in NYC. I think we saw one other person while we were there. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Beautiful spot - I accessed it from stairs in the southeast corner of the Vietnam Veterans Plaza on South Street. There is a garden area with trees, beautiful flowers, benches, and tables with chairs that is perfect for eating lunch. Then there is a wide-open grassy space that would be perfect for lawn games. I recommend coming to check out this gem in FiDi.

Dope spot! My roommate and I biked down here and spent some time at the park. It’s a very well maintained place with fantastic views of the East River and Brooklyn! It’s a great park for a picnic with friends, or a chill spot to take in the views. If I worked downtown I think I’d be here every day at lunch to decompress a bit! Oh, by the way, the entrance is a little hard to find so look for a random escalator on the sidewalk and there’s a plaque kinda thing that says “Elevated Acre” on it.

This place is a fantastic public park! 🏞️ Elevated Acre in FiDi 🗽 is the perfect spot to relax 😌 and unwind 🧘‍♂️, have lunch 🥡 outdoors, and take in the view 🪟 of the edge of Manhattan! You can notice Governors Island 🏝️, the non-stop helicopters 🚁 landing 🛬 and taking off. 🛫, and the car 🚗 traffic 🚦 going in and out of the city! 🏙️ I wish I came here more often!

This park is a hidden gem! I knew I had to visit this place after looking at the pictures. The views from here are amazing. This is a great place to click some nice photos of Brooklyn. There are tables here which makes it a good spot to relax and enjoy a takeout. There were few people at the park during my visit. It's best to wear a jacket because the winds that blow are cold. This park is not open 24hrs. From May 1 to Sep 30, the park is open from 7 AM to 10 PM. From Oct 1 to April 30, they are open from 8 AM to 8 PM. This is a nice place to check out when you're near Wall Street.

Treasured space of beautiful greenery lovely flowers and a gorgeous view ! So thankful to discover this spot . Also Clean with plenty of seating . There’s even a bathroom . Also I love that the space is accessible to those who use a wheelchair & walkers . Follow the signs to use the elevator right behind the stairs & escalators . You’re gonna love hanging out here .

Great place to sit down. Pretty quiet despite it's proximity to the highway and bustling streets below. Open right now albeit with less seating. Could probably bring your own chairs. Gets great sun during the afternoon in the summer.

Came here for a picnic, honestly its really hidden we got lost a couple times but once we got there we were amazed. The area is very quiet and empty, the grass was clean, and just walk up a little you’ll see the water. It was a nice place to relax while still enjoying the city views. 10/10 recommend if you want to have a quiet picnic and unwind a little from the hectic city, the only con is that there was no public restroom around, other than that the place is wonderful.

What a view! There was no one else when I was there, I even bought a food from a food truck nearby and ate there, great lunch with a great view. You can see the helicopter tours as well. Nice spot to relax for a while (The stair is right next to Chase building)

A beautiful, hidden in your face escape. Located near the FDR, the Elevated Acre provides beautiful views of the East River, Brooklyn, and Manhattan bridges. There is plentiful seating as well as an artificial turf green space and natural foliage. It is a great area to take a break and read a book or take that selfie.

A somewhat hidden oasis in the hustle and bustle of downtown NYC.  Fairly unique urban parkscape on the rooftop of 55 Water street easily accessible to anyone from the street.  With stairs and escalators available directly from the street to this retreat,  many of the downtown office community use it for a little quiet downtime to escape from their cubicles.  An excellent place for tourists alike to enjoy some tranquility when the streets of NY get overwhelming. Provides some excellent views to the East river as well as to the Brooklyn bridge. Also provides direct  access to a restaurant/bar that's conveniently located at that site. Worth it to stop by just to take a peek as it's all free. Alas I don't believe there are any public restrooms.

Fantastic little park that's pretty hidden but open to the public. It has picnic tables, benches, and a large open area with stadium type concrete stairs/seating along the sides. A great spot to tuck away for lunch or to read. The downside is that it's near a busy road and helipad, so despite feeling hidden it gets quite noisy from time to time.

Great location by the water, nicely landscaped around the artificial turf. You may see a lantern fly or two or three, but thats NY this summer. The colorful tables and benches remind me of a kindergarten setting--they need to make the colors more adult-like because there are only grown people here. Occassionally you see corporate professionals sunbathing, great energy!

A slice of nature on the edge of the Financial District. It’s so peaceful and has great views of Brooklyn and the east river.
