Had a great experience and completely enjoyed my visit to the Mohican Outdoor Center. As a Life Scout, WOW, the scouting history here! What an incredible resource this entire area is and it appears well-managed and professionally run with natural education programs and conservation themes. A joy to visit. 'Misty' greeted me and shared an informative book on a few questions I had about an early butterfly I had observed and we both enjoyed finding out details about a baby snake I had helped cross a road. Glad I took a picture. A really cool place and I am so wicked bummed it's out of season or Covid closed because this place looked like a huge joy to experience and explore. Maybe someday. Thanks for the electricity and the water. The tip for back up to the AT via the orange trail worked perfect and was really an awesome section of Trail to enjoy. I love hiking the AT in New Jersey. Amazing! Come check this place out when you can.

I checked in on Memorial Day afternoon when most were leaving. I shared a cabin with three others but we each had a room to ourselves. Main office open from 9am to 6pm. But Dining Room/Lounge is open 24/7. Deli serves delicious sandwiches. I had the tuna salad with tomato, bacon and cheese. Plenty of snacks and hiker wear. I bought a OR rain hat that came in handy during thunderstorm. I switched out my shoes with ones I found in the Hiker Box. Plus other useful items I pulled out of there. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Bunkhouse is great. Four bunks per room, four bedrooms, two baths with two showers, another bath and a big kitchen and sitting room. Only four stars because hiker food resupply is a bit limited.

Great place to stop in, grab a coffee and sit by the warm fire! The game room is open 24/7 and there’s a communal fire on Saturday night. Levi hosted it and told us a lot of stories about the history of AMC which was extremely interesting. We also stayed in a cabin which was a very nice experience. There were outlets and a space heater.

I planned a group trip back in probably 2001 with my Cub scout dens. I'm sure a lot has changed, but the kids all had a great time! We were able to hike part of the Appalachian trail also!

While some facilities are a little older, the cabin we stayed in was clean and modern. Almost too comfortable! I liked how well spaced from our neighbors we were (my biggest complaint at most campsites) while still being a short walk to the bathrooms. We didn't have our own campfire, but that forced us to make some friends. The 10 minute hike in with our things was a little brutal, make sure to find out when the gate will be open or borrow a cart!

We were driving up to the AMC center on an icy road + got stuck. Levi from AMC drove down to meet us + drove our car to a safe place off the ice. We did a 6 mile hike + then came back to the center to sit by the fire in the dining area. Highly reccommend the Mohican Outdoor Center!

Editing again: heard they use glyphosate so we will not be returning! Great place for whole family (including fur babies). Went for a quick hike today and can't wait to come back possibly for camping too. Editing my review: decided to go camping here and was told by Susie we had a spot we could drive up to since the group had 3 toddlers and 2 dogs. When we got there that wasn't the case at all and we had to hike for a while to get there and it was dark out (like 8:30pm). I wanted to just go home after I realized where we had to go but Levi helped the group get situated and the night ended up being really nice. I was cursing out Susie for a while but Levi really saved it. Might come back for camping

Excellent for parking for a few nights to head onto the Appalachian Trail. Provides good bathrooms and tempature controlled hangout.

Good place for AT hikers to get a quick hot meal. A little pricey. Everyone very friendly. Were running out of food. Need better drink selection for hikers.
