This little lodge was perfect for our weekend stay! Central to pretty much everything. If you’re looking for a place to sleep and shower this is it. The rooms are tiny but cozy. Bathrooms are shared but they are clean and well kept. There is complimentary tea and coffee and towels are available. No bugs. Staff is extremely sweet and super accommodating, they deff want to make sure you have a great stay. If I’m back in the area I’d book again for sure. Your experience is what you make of it :)

Great location! Close to everything. You just need to know what to expect. My wife and I just wanted a clean place to sleep and shower. The room was tiny: about 8x8.5. The sheets were new and clean. The public bathroom was never a problem. The showers and bathrooms were always clean. They have coffee and tea available all hours. You can get extra towels if needed. Friendly staff.

The beds are ****** awfull. The location is nice. When there is no one at the reception there is no way of getting in contact. The rooms have no windows and you hear absolutely everything, including a extremely loud noice every 10minutes.

such a good place!!!! reviews scared me a bit but it's totally great, really sweet and generous owner, very safe, 10/10, good comfy beds, good hot shower with water pressure, a bit of a summer camp vibe

For only $44/night, in Manhattan, this place is perfect for anyone who only needs 4 walls, a bed and a bathroom (shared) as most of the days are spent walking down the streets. I came in for the price. Was expecting the worst after I read the reviews. But it was way better than expected. Bathrooms were super clean (or I only went at the right time, I don't know) I don't understand while y'all are whining given the price tag.

Great location, the people seemed nice enough, but the ghettoest of accommodations. Can hear everything in every room, no tv, no windows, just an 8x8 square with public school cafeteria flooring. The shared bathrooms seemed fairly clean, but the shower/bath glass door was always stuck and there were no washcloths to my knowledge.

Location is good for the place but the rooms has no window and has very tiny walls. One morning someone was oicked out cuz they were more in the room as it supposed. At the entrance sometimes were empty. Safety could be improved

It's in the middle of the Chinatown, and that helps to go to different places, little Italy it's at 5 minutes and the Brooklyn Bridge it's at 20 minutes walking and others attractions are 15 to20 minutes by train.

Very Cozy and affordable place, perfect location and a welcoming staff. It's exactly like advertised so I cannot complain. I would recommend bringing earplugs, the walls are pretty thin but otherwise a memorable experience. Would definitely come back

Cheap but hardly worth the misery cost. No air conditioning or ventilation, rooms become very hot and humid even in temperate spring months. The mattresses were covered in urine stains. The staff was somewhat helpful but many of them spoke little English and were unfriendly at times, especially the night shift. The location, by contrast, is pretty great. The nearby station Grand St provides easy access to upper Manhattan and Brooklyn and lower Manhattan is walking distance. Little Italy is across the street and the hotel is located in Chinatown. Therefore, there are lots of great food options nearby.

Very friendly staff, very eager to help and accommodate. Poor English but was still able to communicate fine. Nice price for the location. My two friends and I got a private room with a private full bath which had two bunk beds with mattress pads that were reasonable but felt like I was at a summer camp. Not too comfy and seemed like there were crumbs in my sheets. Our lock on the door to our room was sketchy and could easily be broken down but the very front door of the is locked most of the time so we felt more safe with that. Was very concerned after looking at other reviews but it really wasn't that bad. The bathrooms were clearly cleaned the best they could be, but there were weird little things in the room and floor that were just kinda grimy. Overall enjoyed my stay, kinda quirky and fun; felt like I was at a distant great aunts house or something lol.

Small rooms, beds are not comfortable, no ways to open or close the windows, it gets super hot in the room. Not the cleanest rooms and bathrooms though it was not dirty per say. But it's one of the cheapest accommodation you can find in Manhattan. It's pretty well located as the subway is not far and there's a lot around. I had read the reviews so I expected the worst, thank God it wasn't that bad, I just wouldn't stay more than 2 days here.

Tiny room, no window, definitely economy lodging. The bathrooms are shared and reasonably clean. Because the walls are incredibly thin (like plasterboard) and there is no ceiling, you can hear and smell everything that happens on the whole floor. Depending on the time of day, the employees can range from friendly and helpful to loud and irritating. One morning, the day guy woke me up from way down the hall, and he was only talking to one person. If you want to save money, go for it, just be ready to put up with lots of noise.
