Watched them built and have visited by both ferry and feet and passed by in my kayak many times.

I was surprised to see these hills this time as they were not around the last time I visited Governors Island. Beautiful view from the top. One hill has slides, which you can use if the kids are not using them. I think you can visit the Hills even if you're on a wheelchair.

The highest point on Governors Island. Great vantage point for photography. Nice views of the skyline and surrounding areas.

The entire governors island experience is great and this part of the island is no different. Bring your walking shoes or a bike and have a blast!

Great place to go hang out on Friday night when the let you into the island. There’s an excellent view of the Statue of Liberty and the land on Governors Island is beautiful all by itself. There are tents (tho I’m not 100% sure how to rent them) and during the summer they show movies back by where the ferries docks. Enjoyable area- I recommend it.

Great view of the city. Foot traffic is moderate in springtime - recommend going outside of the busy summer weekends for the best experience. Parts are wheelchair accessible.

It's a hassle to get too. But once there. Amazing. Beautiful park for a bike ride, stroll, and picnic. Scenery is beautiful. Love to bring a kite next time I visit.
