Hands down THE BEST steakhouse in NYC. I have been there over 20 times. Their steaks have been consistent, never disappointed me and everyone who came with me. I always get their ribeye and they always done it perfectly. Must try their thick cut bacon and wedge salad with blue cheese dressing. Servers were friendly, service was efficient and attentive. If you have tried at least over 10 other “famous” steakhouse in the city. You will agree with me. Note that I only recommend this location on Park Avenue they have as the other locations weren’t as good.

The food was amazing. We ordered the salmon and filet mignon. For sides we had the Brussels sprouts , sautéd mushrooms , and mashed potatoes. The steak and the mushrooms both had so much flavor. I The bread was slightly cold and the bathrooms were gross. I was quite surprised at the lack of cleanliness within this level of establishment due to how there was toilet paper on the floor and etc.

This place is awesome! Tucked away inside a small space on Park Avenue lives one of the best steakhouses I’ve been to. Giving it a five star overall. However, the service is a bit slow and the sides aren’t great. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were made days prior with no butter, salt, or pepper. Service was a bit slow as well. But still deserving of five stars.

SAD! When you come to an nyc steakhouse you should expect 2 things … Good food and good service, unfortunately we only got the first half today when we visited for lunch, our waiter upon first meeting sounded and came off like he didn’t want to be there. Once the order was taken, that was the last time we saw him until I had to flag him down to get the check. Not once did anyone check up on us on our meal, which soured our experience and it was lunch hours so about 3-4 other tables were people also there so not busy at all. Unlike the service the food on the other hand was fantastic, our steak was both juicy and tender and in my opinion can compete with Peter Luger as well as a notch better than Keens porterhouse. However at least with Keens waiter service was much better and we even got a birthday slice from keens whereas Wolfgang doesn’t do anything even if you tell them it’s someone’s birthday sadly.

Pretty decent steakhouse. It was good, but nothing mind-blowing. I think because of the price, I was expecting something more? For example, the bread didn’t seem very fresh. I’ve been to other steakhouses before and nothing about this place really stuck out. Food and service were both ok. I can’t really point out what was “bad”. But I also can’t really think of what was really good either.

I would like to start this review on a positive note. The steak is delicious hence the lump price. A large range of drinks aswell. The sides we ordered were also amazing. However, the service was very disappointing. The waiters had no enthusiasm and were only serving for the pay.

Ordered the porterhouse for two, medium. but was inconsistent throughout the entire steak. Sections were deep purple/rare and the other sections very close to well. The grilled asparagus was so overcooked that it was mushy, Caesar salad was nothing special and had to flag down waitstaff for a peppermill. Canadian bacon was caramelized quite nicely but lacked crispness. The dry aged steak was just underwhelming along with the chewy fat veins that ran throughout. I literally pinched and remove it from the meat. However, the paper plane cocktail was superb. At the end of the day, I’ve eaten at lower tier steakhouses that have served a more premium product and accuracy on doneness. Attention to detail and tentative service has slipped. The atmosphere/environment is nice but for the same price point, just go to Keens or Frankie and Johnie’s

Great steakhouse. Delicious food and wine, Prompt service, true steakhouse vibe. We ordered New York sirloins - medium well and rare medium ($65 each) with fries and cream spinach. One of the best steaks and creamed spinach I have had in NYC. The cut was prepared perfectly. Wine recommendations were spot on. Portion size as expected in NYC (plenty). I wish they would serve their bread hot instead of cold. The seating is very cramped and in a tiny corner for two seat tables - not at all ideal for dates, especially considering we paid $200 for two people. The tables for 4 seats or plus, are comfortable and spacious.

Super Steak House Restaurant, I visited with friends yesterday and really enjoyed it. Delicious steak, good price, excellent selection of beer. Downtown Manhattan, convenient location near metro station 33. Yesterday they filmed a movie right in front of the Restaurant, we witnessed this wonderful event. I recommend this Restaurant to everyone if you want to have a great time with Family and Friends. I will definitely come here again with my girlfriend. I recommend this Location to everyone. Good luck and all the best. Your Alex.

I was expecting so much more, but the Hospitality was less than from the hostess and the server that brings out your steak. Food wise it was just ok as well...for these prices the experience should be just as elevated as the prices....nice room and architecture but you can find a better steak night in NYC.

Great steakhouse with the most NYC atmosphere - busy, loud, cool ceilings, large groups, etc. Very good server to table ratio. Highly recommended for larger groups.

Good old school NYC steak house. Everything that comes to your mind by combination of these words is a description of this place. High end food, atmosphere and service. Speaking of which, the waiter was a bit late on bringing sides to our steak, so without any negotiations he notified us that, these delayed sides will be removed from our bill (although they were served) and on top of that for the inconvenience he was giving us a complimentary cheesecake (which happened to be one of the best I ever tried). The place isn't cheap, but worth every single penny. If you want a class complemented by good food this is the place for you.

Wolfgang's Steakhouse is undeniably a spectacular dining destination. Our waiter demonstrated an impressive depth of knowledge on their expansive wine selection, guiding us towards the perfect pairings for our meals. The food can only be described as heavenly - every dish was a flavorful experience that impressed us down to the very last bite. Wolfgang's truly takes steakhouse dining to a new level, it's an absolute must-visit for any food enthusiast.

Wonderful service with one of the #best steaks ever! Truly a great cut of meat cooked to your liking. Service was top notch. Yummy German potatoes too & bier! Thank you!

The service here is exceptional! Waiters are funny and very attentive. The food is unbelievable, one of the best stakes I have had in NYC! We got the fries, and creamy spinach as sides, half a dozen oysters and rib eye - everything was truly amazing and served really quickly! Will definitely come back ✨

This steakhouse is fantastic. Reservations were surprisingly not very hard to come by given the small dining area. There's a small bar area where you can wait or just grab a couple pre-dinner drinks (bar and dining tabs are kept separately and don't carry over). We had a half dozen oysters, the porterhouse for two (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), the German potatoes, and creamed spinach, accompanied by a couple cocktails and wine. Everything was excellent, including the very friendly service. If you're looking for a great steakhouse in the city, then I highly recommend checking out Wolfgang's on Park Ave.

Sat at the nostalgic bar for a quick post msg game bite. Atmosphere is definitely screaming old NYC. The porterhouse was cooked exactly to my preference (charred rare plus) on both sides of bone. It’s tougher to execute than one may think. The sautéed garlic and butter broccoli is something I crave post visit. Mushrooms and onions were satisfying as well. Overall a good meal with a hefty price tag. Definitely will return.

Steak was amazing and the creamed spinach was to die for. Bread was lacklustre. Overall pretty decent steakhouse. However, took a star off because of the service. The server did the bare minimum of serving us drinks, taking our order and plating the steak. Could be better to be honest, considering this is a famous steakhouse. Would love to get desserts but there were no check-ins or recommendations. Didn’t regret coming but probably won’t come back again.

It was my big bros birthday, so we got the royal treatment. Walking into Wolfgang’s with him felt like walking into the strip club with James Harden right after a first-round playoff exit. The whole staff coming up to him dapping him up, with all the restaurant patrons whispering amongst themselves trying to figure out who he is. One staff member shouted, "Mr. Bloomberg is in the building!!" While another one came up to dap him up saying "It's big bro!" He responded with a disarming smile, slapping his hand away and going for the hug while saying "Nah you know you're my big homie!!" I got a little shy during all this commotion so went to the bar and started with an espresso martini to wake me up and get me out of my shell a little bit. We were then seated at the best table in the joint. The bread to start off was immaculate, I probably had 4 pieces. I love bread. My only complaint was the butter was ice cold. Me and my homie were inspired and began to discuss making a heated butter knife and selling it to steakhouses. I mean there is a major gap in the market for this. Sit back and visualize how optimal a lukewarm butter knife would be to spread your butter perfectly all over every corner of the bread. I can see millions. We all got the porter house steak medium rare (obviously), and it was absolutely to die for. The best steak I have had in NYC if I'm being really honest, and I can only speak the truth. It gets me into trouble sometimes. Wolfgangs is my favorite steakhouse in the city.

I've been here many times, and this is my favorite Wolfgang location. But I have to say this is my worst Wolfgang experience today. First of all, the thick bacon cut was sloppily prepared. The porterhouse we received today was full of gristle. Hope this is one off bad experience

When we mentioned that we were heading to New York City, we got recommendations for two steak restaurants. Having visited both places, I can say with absolute certainty that Wolfgang's Steakhouse is an absolute gem! First off, its location is fantastic, and the online reservation process is a breeze. The staff working there are incredibly welcoming. I went with my kids, and they were considerate in suggesting menu options that suited our needs and consistently attentive throughout. The filet mignon I ordered was truly outstanding. Whenever I crave steak, Wolfgang's Steakhouse is definitely the place I'll choose. Thanks once again!

If you are looking for a must-try steak in New York, you will definitely like it. It was a very tasty and juicy steak. The staff were also witty and friendly. The bathroom was downstairs, so it was inconvenient. Everything was perfect except for that. I definitely recommend this place.

I wanted to love this place (expensive and had to make reservations), unfortunately it was just good. The service was efficient, but not super friendly (too used to the chill vibes in Hawaii). Steak was good (the sirloin was better than the filet mignon) cooked to our liking, but just nothing too special. Atmosphere was decent. Might have gotten a 3.5 if that was an option.

A must visit NYC steakhouse! The porterhouse never disappoints and the seafood tower is always a good way to get your meal going! The service is top notch and the restaurant is always buzzing with great ambience! This is the flagship location and I've always enjoyed the experience!!

An incredible steakhouse! Wow! Loved the ambiance too. We got the porterhouse for 2 and the filet along with the mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and onion rings and all of it was incredible! The steaks came out sizzling too. Will definitely have to go back

Went on a Sunday night with a friend. We both enjoy a good steak but hadn't been to Wolfgang's yet. Place was fairly empty but we still had to wait a little to get seated. Service was decently fast although we couldn't get a list of the wines by the glass and had to pick simply by grape variety. Also, the waiter was not particularly friendly or forthcoming with information on the food and recommendations. The food took a while to come out. Both of us had the Ribeye and we added the German potatoes, broccoli and the cream spinach. The portion size was very generous. My friend commented that his medium steak was more medium well. Mine was ordered medium rare and was pretty close to what I was expecting. Texture was good but both of us agreed that the steak tasted rather bland. The dry aging was noticeable but not as strong as it could have been and the steak definitely lacked salt. The potatoes were decent (although as a German I wouldn't call those German potatoes) while the cream spinach was at best okay - it tasted like the spinach had been through a blender, leaving it without any texture, and didn't get enough seasoning. Overall, for a restaurant of this price level and reputation, quite a bit was left to be desired. Food 3.75 Ambiance 4.25 Service 3.5 Value 3 Total 3.75 Grading scale 1 - avoid at all costs 2 - very bad 3 - meh 3.5 - okay 4 - pretty good 4.5 - excellent 5 - special (less than 5% of all grades)

Husband brought me here for our anniversary dinner and we just had an awful experience. The hostess never even looked up to greet us, asked our name and told us wait on the side all while staring down. We were put in a room in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen and checkout which okay, but there was clearly seats in the front? And there was only one party of 10 back there that was being waited. And when you look online all it looks nice inside but then you get there and that’s the room you’re in instead of the nice restaurant you thought you’re going to is already such a turn off; the steaks were tremendously over cooked but our waiter just stopped waiting out table so no one to even talk to about it. The waiter we had started off great and then just stopped waiting our table and started waiting tables in the front of the restaurant but never informed us that he was not going to be our server any longer. We had a random server who asked 1 time if we were okay and that was it for us. We asked for the bill paid and left because it was such a disappointment. I seen other comments say if they had some diversity would be great, and I agree. Because no way we would have been treated this way if we were the same race as everyone else working or dining here.
