DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! WARNING!!!! The photos posted on their website are NOT AT ALL what the hotel looks like. It is FILTHY. THE RESTAURANT does not exist. The door is taped up with a black trash bag. Windows are broken. The dirty chairs in the lobby look like they came from a second-hand office store. The desk has a covid screen set up and there are waste cans near where you check in. They bring their supplies in from an area behind the so-called reception desk, so the elevators (which are also dirty and dented) are used constantly by staff and carts of cleaning people. The only good news is their cleaning people do show up. The rooms need a complete overhaul. Paint is chipped. My box mattress was falling apart. !!! The paper pull down window screen had holes in it. The television did not work -- only one channel came in and one news channel -- spotty. The carpet in the hallway was dirty. The safe did not work. My family stay in Marriott hotels very often and we love the brand. I was sad to see the was called a Bonvoy Marriott. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE! I MENTIONED ALL THIS TO THE STAFF AT THE FRONT AND GOT A BLANK STARE.

Location is central, close to food and subways. Room is very small, and it is very noisy, if you're a light sleeper you might find it hard to sleep. Oh the other hand the beds and pillows are super comfy. We enjoyed staying here but we're out early morning and only come back to 💤. Wi-fi is very fast!

We’ve just checked out after 3 nights stay and let me tell ya it is an absolute 5 star for a 3 star hotel. There were no smell, dirt etc. rooms are standard size for manhattan, with tea/cofee station, ice machine in the basement, microwave in the hall. We’ve requested extra pillows and blankets and towels and everything was given to us with a smile and right away. Don’t believe all negative reviews, come and see for yourself) upon checking out, a lovely gentleman asked us if we have ride ready and if not offered assistance, gave us bottles of water and wished happy holidays! Thank you it was a pleasant stay! Ps i assume negative reviews come from folks wanting to pay 3 star price but to receive a 5 star service lol

This was the worst Marriot hotel I've ever stayed at. I booked it through work, so I missed these horrific reviews, but let me re-share the sentiment: Do not stay here! I also thought "How bad can a Marriott chained hotel be?" but oh boy, was I wrong! The rooms are VERY outdated (somehow my first apartment right off college looked nicer than this room/bathroom), the room was DIRTY (I refused to put my feet on the carpet because it was so disgusting - many spots of spilled liquid messes) and the bed was poorly made (extremely wrinkly and made me question if it was freshly made). My sister tagged along for this trip and she was so sick with the lack cleanliness in the room that she slept fully clothed. I checked the bed with a flashlight for bed bugs. If this had not been 1 night stay due to a biz trip and paid by work, I would like left and asked for a full refund. Right outside of the hotel, there were piles of trash bags and several homeless people were going through them to fetch metal cans. Until this hotel gets a full revamp/renovations and a more mindful cleaning staff, please, do yourself a favor and do not stay there!

I ignored the reviews thinking "it's a Marriott property. how bad can it be?" Huge mistake. I transferred my reservation immediately upon arriving. The place is made my skin crawl. It's nothing but dirty rooms in cold white lighting. Half the lights in my room didn't even work. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Please be aware that the hotel photos online are seriously dated. This hotel is in need of a major cleaning. My room way filthy. In only stayed one night and found another hotel. I kid you not when it tell you was about 1/3 inch of dust on everything. There was someone else's finger prints on the light switch I'm the bathroom in what I'm hoping was makeup and not feces. All the corners and floorboards had dust caked up on them. The carpet grossly stained. I can't believe a place so substandard is associated with Marriott.

The staff are nice and there are some reasonable services. Nonetheless it is nothing like the pictures and the hotel looks like it hasn’t been touched in 10 years. My grandma who can’t even walk could do a better job at keeping this place clean. It’s so so disappointing in the reception there’s a microwave and I have no idea what it’s doing there other than for the employees to warm up their cup noodles. The chairs in the reception look like they are from my grandmas house. The air conditioning unit is louder than a space shuttle at takeoff and I feel like I’m living next to lawnmower. Anyway enough ranting… I’ll let the pictures do the work Btw : the stuff on top of the door that looks like fluff is literally dust, the air vent is full of dust and the bathroom has stains on the ceiling. Anyway good luck to anyone staying here.

My stay started off fine. The front desk clerked allowed me to check in about 45 minutes early so I appreciated that. When we got to the room there were no wash cloths and bags inside the trash cans. No big deal. I was able to get these things from the front desk. My stay was going fine. I’m low maintenance and don’t like to add extra work for the staff. I worked as the Front Office supervisor for 2 five star hotels. On Sunday I asked the front desk clerk for a late checkout and she granted me a 2 pm checkout which I really appreciated because I had a late afternoon flight but as I was leaving the hotel a different front desk clerk called me to the front desk to tell me that I’d be charged a late fee. I tried explaining that the young lady from Sunday granted me a late checkout but she didn’t want to hear it and insisted that I’d be charged. I believe she was Dominican. Her skin was brown like mine but she had a Spanish accent. I didn’t bother trying to resolve the situation with her because no matter what I said she didn’t want to hear it. So far I’ve left a voicemail with the Front Desk manager Mike or Michael. I know it’s a simple matter of the hotel WANTING to reverse the charge vs CAN’T reverse the charge. Idk why some employees insist on being this way because she just created more work for the management and accounting team, which is what I was trying to avoid the entire time I was there.

I would avoid this hotel… It always feels a bit “not great” to write a negative review, but in this case I felt pretty compelled to do it as a warning for anyone else. Main reasons to avoid this hotel would be: The rooms are fine but my sheets were covered in what looks like previous blood stains, the gym had such a bad smell I walked in could stand there for three minutes and then had to leave, and the cleaning seem to be so cursory they forgot the previous guest clothes in the room. Now that I think there’s better places to stay in frankly expect a lot more from Sheraton. The 2 stars is cause the staff are all pretty nice.

I should have read reviews before booking, this hotel is nasty. I felt like everything I touched was greasy (I washed my hands 4 times in 1 hour after checking in) it looked like nothing was cleaned minus sheets and towels. I checked out within 2 hours of being there and the front desk didn’t ask why or if they could do anything so I’m guessing they get this a lot. Honestly stayed in nicer budget hotels then this, and there are cheaper & MUCH nicer Marriotts down the road. Giving it two stars cause of location

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a safe place to stay. The front desk staff will hand out your room key to whoever asks without doing any verification. As four young women staying in the city, we were very scared when 2 men walked straight into our room at 2 in the morning while we were asleep. When we spoke to the front desk about this, they didn't seem concerned at all and have since ignored all communications about the issue. Safety and communication are clearly not priorities at this establishment.

This hotel needs a massive clean and overhaul. I had to check out after being in my room that smelled like mold and mildew for a few hours for fear that it would negatively impact my health and make me sick. When I told the front desk they offered me their one other available room which they walked me to - and it smelled like cigarettes and also moldy. I think this hotel is a health hazard. Be careful. I’m loyal to Marriott Gold Elite and stay in hotels almost every week - and have not experienced something so filthy in years. The front desk kindly refunded the two night stay and we found an alternative option a few blocks away using Hotel Tonight that is clean, tidy, and has fresh air and no bad smells.

Stay somewhere else. The rooms are not well cleaned. Crumbs on the floor. Looks like someone laid down on a bed for a nap before we got there. Gray hair on the bathroom floor. USB chargers didn’t work. A room with 2 queen beds should be stocked with 4 towels. Don’t make me ask for a proper number of towels. Impossible to change the temperature. I liked the location but regret changing my reservation to this hotel to save $20. Not once did they respond to the chat in the Marriott app. Note: I’m lifetime gold bonvoy and that meant nothing.

Small rooms than it shows in pictures on the website, no heating in the room, no coffee machine (you can find one in the room but it didn’t work as well). We were three people and only two bath set were in the room. Good views and good position.

Let’s be clear. You’re not here to get a good nights rest, though I definitely did all five nights. You’re here because it’s in the center of it all. Which this place has in spades. The smell was ungodly. But where in NYC isn’t? Place definitely needs a facelift.

They don't give breakfast and they are reluctant to give you bottled water, but it is in an excellent location, everything is close by, affordable price

The Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea Hotel on 160 West 25th Street is a good value. It is conveniently located to stores, restaurants, pizzerias, etc. I stayed here when I attended my Annual SAG Awards Red Carpet event a couple of blocks away. The hotel is located right next door to The Rose bar/ lounge. When I arrived there was line to get into The Rose so don't be intimidated if you check in in the evening when you get to the entrance. Just peaceful party goers waiting to get into the Rose. The Rose is accessible from within the hotel lobby as well. A good deal no frills if you need a great priced one night stay in the lively Chelsea section of Manhattan. I posted pics of the hotel and a couple of pics of the entrance to The Rose lounge from within the lounge of the hotel. The hotel also has an outdoor seating area as well. For one night I paid $159.00 plus $26.96 Government Taxes and fees, totaling $185.96 for the night. A good deal in NYC. I was given a 14th floor room which was great too.

what makes this hotel beautiful is the excellent location but the rooms are very old, dusty and completely soundproofed (you hear external noise + other guests) the thing that disappointed me the most was the attention to the customer, we asked repeatedly for towels, water and glasses for three people (CONSIDERING THAT I BOOKED FOR THREE GUESTS!) but everything was provided to us every day for only two people!

Not what was it was advertised as. Not cleaned or restocked appropriately. View of garbage from window & entire internal hotel space of multi story building stinks of weed - even non smoking floors. Do not recommend at all. Very overpriced, small room, don’t even have a small bar fridge. Avoid. Very noisy also. Worst Marriott ever! Staff don’t even care -they’re seemingly out it also!

Really disappointing hotel. I’ve stayed here before and it was fine, but this time was a disgrace. First I called the hotel prior to my arrival that my flight was cancelled so I would come the next day. They said that’s okay. I call the next day and of course the reservation was cancelled, not held like I was told. Fine, they had some availability (unfortunately, in hindsight). But the mold everywhere, the dirty stains everywhere (some blood?), nasty coffee machine that made a weird white liquid were all too much to handle. Had to cancel. Don’t stay here. Some staff were kind and polite, others couldn’t have cared less.

Our recent experience was much different than our previous two visits. The quality of this hotel has declined significantly since the pandemic and we were left very disappointed with the overall level of cleanliness (i.e. our sheets had multiple stains, the shower was filthy and the counters had not been wiped). The location is excellent but we would recommend finding another hotel in the area.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days for my husband and I’s anniversary. It’s in a great location, with just a 5 minute walk to the subway and about 20 min subway ride to SO MANY different locations. There’s some restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, which was great. The room was clean, service was great, the staff was super nice and helpful. The view from our room was beautiful! The restaurant in the hotel, The Rose, had pretty good breakfast as well. Our stay was amazing! 🤗 would 10000% come back again!

No complaints here. Located not far from Times Square. About a 15-20min walk. Rooms are smaller, but are clean and modern. Bed was comfy and shower was hot. Check-in was smooth and fast. No fridge in the room and there is a shared microwave downstairs.

We went to NYC for the Whitney Biennial and chose to stay here for the combination of its location and price. At $179 per night it was one of the more reasonably priced hotels in this part of Manhattan. We received a text while still on the train that our room was ready early. This was much appreciated, even if we wouldn't arrive until after the regular check in time of 3 p.m. Check in staff was prompt and courteous. The room was SMALL. No more than 12 x 12. Enough room for a king sized bed, two night stands, a desk and an armoire. There was just enough room to walk around the bed and that's about it. The room and bathroom were both clean and in good condition, though we did note that the door had a rather large gap around the frame. We stayed only one night, and I would suggest that unless you're a solo traveler, one or two nights is about all you'd want to stay in a room this small. But it was perfect for our purposes. Check out was as fast and courteous as check in.

Can’t believe this is part of Marriott chain. Elevators get stuck. Water is cloudy and brown in the morning to afternoon. Sheets smell overly bleached. Rooms are not well kept. Service absolutely sucks. Leaky roof. I get it. It’s a 3 star hotel. But at least make it decent. I’m not staying these Marriott chain hotels ever again.

Room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were nice. That's pretty much all I care about. One small thing was you can hear the sound of people in the hallway (if you're a light sleeper) but maybe all hotels are like that. Anyway, I'd stay here again.

Very expensive for what you get...Hotel jaded and old, needs refurbishment. Even the quilt covers are worn are threads loose, carpets worn, badly needs painting. Reception area dirty hardly what you would expect from a Marriot/Sheraton hotel.Just an old and worn hotel, would not recommend or come back. In saying that the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful, and room was serviced daily....

I've stayed at many hotels in the city and this one is the best value. Very luxuriously decorated modern rooms and affordable rates (esp. through HotelTonight). I was avoiding this hotel for a while because it was near a former workplace, but since the rates are cheap and the decor is good, I will be staying here for other professional reasons that require me to be in Manhattan a few days at a time.

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. This site will compare countless hotel sites and usually will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't be disappointed. Room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were nice. That's pretty much all I care about. One small thing was you can hear the sound of people in the hallway (if you're a light sleeper) but maybe all hotels are like that. Anyway, I'd stay here again.

I'm a Gold Marriott Bonvoy member I assumed this would be a fine property. I book through work so I didn't get to see these review but DO NOT STAY here. It was not clean at all. The room was cold so I turned on the wall heater and it filled the room with what smelled like burning hair. I had to open the window all night to air it out. I only stayed one night.

Cons: cable TV in 2023 with nothing but commercials and QVC. Is it so hard to have internet streaming services? Hotel bar NOT part of the hotel, they won’t let you have drinks to go unless they are in a plastic cup.. for a $20 cocktail.. Everything in the room is outdated and visibly worn Breakfast is awful and not vegetarian or vegan friendly (just eat somewhere else) Pros: Located near Whole Foods, subway, bus stops.. easy walking distance to anywhere! Staff are friendly! House keeping is great! It’s a 3 star hotel in NYC and I would stay here again. Maybe some bedding upgrade will be phenomenal! 3 star hotel for a 3 star review

I stayed at this hotel recently expecting a great experience because you'd expect more from Sheraton. But it was anything but that. My room looked like it wasn't cleaned in months. There was dust everywhere, there was some water damage on ceiling, and barely any amenities. The only good thing about my stay was the hotel staff which is why I am giving it a two.

  • 3/5 Kimberly A. 1 year ago on Google
It is a decent budget hotel. It was relatively clean, the staff was mostly helpful, and the location was okay. We had booked a double queen room and they gave us a room with double beds. I asked for a change and they told us they had nothing available until the following night. It was a long rough night with 4 single adults in double beds! They offered us a breakfast voucher we couldn't use and changed our room later. It was not the best response to that situation, but it wasn't like they ignored us. All in all, it was a decent enough place to stay for a week.

If you are thinking of staying here, don't. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The rooms are tiny (which I expected since it's NYC) but this was beyond tight, and that's after we got an upgrade. Our room was supposed to have two queen beds, but I'm confident those were full beds. The hotel and rooms are so dated and dirty. The towels are harsh like old and hard. The bed sheets were dirty and I asked for them to be changed, which they did. But the worst was when the faucet both sink and bathtub ran brown water. We had to brush our teeth with bottled water. When I told the front desk, she said this was normal and I need to run the cold water first. When I asked for management she said they are not there. I contacted Marriott after my stay and they did nothing. I usually don't write reviews but I needed to in this case. I thought I was staying at a known brand. This did not feel like a Marriott, it was more like a motel and a nasty one at that.
