Park itself is raised above the street level. It provides good viewing for surrounding. Always pack with events or stuff to see. I consider this is the center of the city. Even though park is small and not manicure as Madison park, it does has its own charm. It’s the place to be seen.

Great park with plenty of lawn space and dynamic urban scenery to surround. Minus one star for the druggies lingering but that’s pretty typical for an nyc park

Bustling with activity and street performers playing musical instruments and other arts. A lot of vendors selling their wares. Lots of benches around to sit and relax. The park was good to have picnics or just lie on the lawn.

Small little park but with the market and stores here there is a ton to see. The vendors have everything from honey/produce to dog socks and puppets. Pretty cool place to go and check out.

Very Central spot and a lot to see around here. The park is nice with plenty of benches or people sit on the steps. Every other weekend there is like a farmers market and you see people sell their goods. Conveniently located connecting many subway lines.

Very nice park I visited before spring but it was still beautiful I will go again in the summer. Very convenient subway stop not far from Washington square Park either. Some absolutely wonderful coffee shops and bakeries and an amazing ceramic store

Very nice park bustling in the middle of the city. Pleasant place to rest for a while and look at all the activity and people passing through.. good place for lunch too. Oh, and I'll add that this is the place where "Mr. Green" escapes out of the subway with his money through the emergency exit in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three(1974 version)

Nice park. Place for kids and restrooms available. Minus, and seems a city problem, too many homeless and some areas very dirty(fountain). On Sunday only one cleaning personnel. Also some teens breaking their first window. We need to take those in need and maintain our city clean. This park needs gelp.

Stopped by this park in the NYU area after a long walk. Lots of people sitting on benches and lounging around. Nice layout with sections of intimate seating areas vs exposed public areas. The vegetation was well taken care of and sadly the park was filled with rodents. It's NY what do you expect, but it's a shame because these little critters are everywhere and they are not shy of humans lol. Great place to just sit down and chill. Good shade and great surrounding architecture. I didn't try the restaurant, but maybe next time.

One of my favorite things in the city that I do almost every weekend is shopping for groceries at Grow NYC farmers market and chilling in Union Square Park for a bit with a coffee, baked good (usually a plain croissant or einkorn from one of the many wonderful baked goods stalls in the market) and a book for an hour or so. There are public restrooms there just in case. The energy is always lively with plenty of places to entertain yourself in the neighborhood.

Have been coming here for an eternity! Has stores, has atmosphere. The subway takes you pretty much anywhere you want to go as well. Maybe one of my favourite places in NYC.

Was here in May 2022. A small and compact park with a lot of happenings. A religious group performing and distributing their publications. Many individual offering to play chess with anyone for a fee. People painting artwork on the road and singing. Individuals promoting their own causes. Families enjoying themselves.

Farmer's Market all year round. Check out Lani's Farm for awesome seasonal produce. And in December, this place have the Holiday Bazaar. I am grateful to have this place just 12 minutes of walking distance from where I live.

Union Square Park is always a good place to go to. It offers a farmers market a couple of days a week. It also has a holiday market during the holiday season. It is also close to transportation and restaurants. Nice part of the city.

Holiday Fair is always fun, even in the rain this year. Great food and gifts. Samosas! Melted Guyer cheese, sweet pickles, & onions on a nice baguette. Smells horrendous, tasted amazing!!

Great park, but this new rule of “closing the park” at 6pm is a bit silly. There’s even a sign that says the park is open til dusk. Not true. Security comes around and kicks everyone out of their chairs. Hopefully this policy can be changed in the future.

Small dog park but we'll maintained and clean. Good for smaller dogs due to its space size but very convenient in the downtown city center area by union square subway.

Nice little public park area! They also have a fairly good sized children’s play park here which is a bonus if you want the kids to burn some energy!

Excellent, shaded park. Two playgrounds, one for under 5, the other 5-12. A good variety of climbers, slides and a metal dome that our kids love.

Farmer's Market is the highlight and lots of good vendors, even on the slower Monday version. Want to like the park more, but it's just so hard to enjoy with odors of vomit and urine everywhere. Lots of homeless people and dirty, but it's not bad by NYC standards.

Great spot that's a cool part of Manhattan with easy access from the subway. "Farmer's Market" held here is awesome... or just walking around on a beautiful summer or fall day is what experiencing New York is all about.

Great park to visit with plenty of space to sit and relax but it can be get full of homeless people but if you don’t bother them then tend to not bother you. I enjoy people watching because you never know what you will see.

The Chelsea Market was great! Live musicians are on most corners trying to make a couple bucks. People sitting and eating during their breaks.

Wonderful atmosphere in the city. Mingle with the city as you examine delicate works of food and jewelry. The crowds are warm and friendly, letting you explore the marvelous works of local artist. Delightful time at this time of year. I suggest strongly that you go and experience this incredible city delight.

Fantastic park in NYC. You will find musical artists in this park, kids playong, dogs running in the dog park portion, neat sculptures and chess or checkers games being played.

So confused about what is being counted, lol... Like most places in NYC, the 'green space' didn't have much grass - rather it was brown and dusty; but it was clean, and nice to visit and see the statues.

Nice medium sized park. Very busy with lots of people sitting on benches. It was so busy we couldn’t find a seat to sit and enjoy the sights so we just walked around and enjoyed the scenery.
