The atmosphere here is great. Came around 6pm, it was busy with after work folks getting a drink & socializing. And in the back were people having dinner. The place is beautiful & nice decor. The food was good, there wasn’t one thing I tried from my table that I did not like. Literally very pleased with the dishes & portions. I had a very light but tasty rose & the service was fine. Don’t really have any complaints. I look forward to coming here for after work drinks next time.

Went here three times, and the food and service were good! We sat at the bar each time. They had the perfect selection of music to go along with those well thought out cocktails! This place will always be on my radar when visiting NYC! The bar staff was so nice and suggested drinks according to our taste in liquor. We like it so well, we'll be returning tonight for our New Years Eve celebration!!

Cool spot in the heart of midtown east. Came for drinks on a weekday afternoon, fair bit of people lounging inside had the same idea Interior is beautiful.. strong personality with smoked mirrors, painted tile, brass and marble.. but accented well with contrasting soft touches of floral patterns and artsy burlesque dancers on walls Drinks were made well.. service was great. Can see this place full during busier hours given interior decor and location Didn’t try the food but hope to one day!

Great selection of cocktails and nice food. Their Gin collection is fantastic. I’ve been to Valerie a few times and the service has always been good, the ambiance and vibe is great and there is such a vast number of different cocktails to try. There is something for everyone. I’ve heard that it gets really busy during happy hour.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was really amazing! Our server Amy was the nicest and was very accommodating!! Cocktails and the food were amazing. The manager also gave us a nice tour of the restaurant and complimentary drinks since it was my birthday. Highly recommend!

I had another great experience at Valerie. Once again, the place was vibrant with lots of happy customers. It was decorated for the holiday season and it's just such a beautiful space. Our bartender Justin was fantastic! He really knew his craft. He was helpful and a true professional. My buddy and I really enjoyed some excellent gin cocktails at the bar. We would have loved to stay for dinner, but we didn't make reservations and they were fully reserved. I will keep coming back for drinks, for food for the ambiance. It is one of my favorite spots and hasn't disappointed me yet!

This is a classy cocktail bar in midtown Manhattan. It’s a couple blocks away from the massive crowds of Times Square and Bryant Park so there’s less foot traffic right outside which is nice. The signature cocktails were $17 each so a bit pricey but standard for Manhattan and each of the two that I had were very good. This would be a good spot for a date or just to stop in for a well-made cocktail to sip on and unwind.

Awesome spot! Decor, staff, and food were top-notch! Entering the resteraunt was breathtakingly elegant. The wait staff, very pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu items. Our waiter recommended delicious cocktails that we absolutely loved! We were there for the brunch service. Will definitely go back for dinner!

Drinks are fantastic!! Food was bland (we ordered the mushroom flatbread, beets and feta salad, avocado hummus and the burrata). Service was good. Music is insanely loud, although we were under a speaker. We liked the music a lot though, maybe 1960’s or Motown? The decor in the restaurant section is also cool, very swanky.

Excellent $1 oyster happy hour until 7pm. The ambience has a gorgeous, scrumptious madman vibe to it. Highly recommend for a girl's night or a cocktail date.

Came here for my birthday on a Wednesday night ,- after work hours I had been wanting to come here since 2020 but they were closed from Covid-19 ( and also I like Gin and this is a Gin bar ! ) It's very crowded- very popular- and gets noisy with the afterwork crowd ! So keep that in mind , but I like a lively spot sometimes. We started with a couple bites from the Happy Hour menu (that's from 5-7 M-F ) we got 14 of the $1 oysters and the Charcuterie plate but requested it be just cheese and no meat . The Spanish Gin and Tonic is delicious, definitely get one ! I also got a Gin and Tonic from the Gin Library menu made with Ford's Officer's Reserve gin but in my opinion it's more of a sipping gin as opposed to a Gin and Tonic gin . Just stick with the Spanish Gin and Tonic. The beet salad with feta and pistachios was unique and complex . My friend's drink the Wayfaring Neighbor was complex and tasty too. My salmon was very good also with corn sauce and shimeji mushrooms . Everything was good. Recommended. This is a few blocks from Grand Central Station and the locals definitely like to come here for oysters and booze ! Great place and the staff was super nice too. Make a reservation, it does get crowded .

If you are in NYC you have to visit Valerie. It's a great hot spot in mid-town. They have a nice happy hour with $11 drinks- try the Vodka Gimlet for maximum drinkage. But the real reason to go it for their vast gin and tonic drinks. Their G&T drink selection is over the top and even though the price of anywhere from $15-$18 may have you stopping to think if it's worth the price, it is. Their drinks are like works of art. The food menus is also beyond pleasing. Their tuna tartare is so flavorful, and their signature burger is the most popular item on the menu. Valerie has that VIP feel to it. The staff and servers treat every guest like a VIP- so friendly and attentive. If you're willing to spend more for dinner and drinks (you can spend $100 easily), do give Valerie a try. A great experience in NYC dining. You'll love the atmosphere also.

Valerie is one of my favorite bars in NYC. They do a very good job with their cocktails. The food is pretty good but sometimes, they can be a little too generous with the salt. The staff is friendly and attentive but service can get a little slow when busy.

Amazing birthday brunch. Food was so tasty. Had the Banofee French Toast. They brought me a beautiful gold dusted chocolate as a birthday surprise. Live Jazz music. Beautiful interior. Highly recommend!!

LOVEDDDD the flatbread; The steak and fries was also really good. The drink options were too limited but the two I had were really strong. I was not a fan of the actual taste but they did what they were supposed to. It won't be my last time visiting.

We only tried drinks. The bartender was knowledgeable and very good giving us information and suggestions. Very Christmasy atmosphere, a great bartender, and various drink options! We stayed at the Club Quaters hotel right in front of it. I wish we visited here more often to try all the different cocktails!

Food and drinks were all great (huge drinks menu) but service left us wanting a little more. We still had a fun night out, but could have used a little more attention. I’d highly recommend the Crispy Tempura Green Beans — the portion was generous and they were delicious! I got the Spaghetti Squash Bolognese which was a nice vegetarian option that was a little different from the usual.

Really good hidden gem. I got the Spicy which is one of their specials and I have to say it was good and smooth at the same time. As a person whom loves spicy and I'm not talking about '(tabasco sauce) I appreciate the evolving flavors. Counter clockwise be is a must! And we also got the truffle fries.

Was looking for a place to drop in for brunch on Thanksgiving and saw this beautifully decorated for Christmas bar/restaurant. Pictures don't do it justice. Had the omlet, which was good. Coffee wasn't bad either. Service was good. Super friendly guy. Almost gave them a 4 because there was nothing for vegans, so my friend had to go down the street to get something to eat. However, they were kind enough to allow her to eat the vegan food she bought from another restaurant in their restaurant. That was really kind of them to do.

A great bar with wonderful atmosphere. The bar is really vacant with good seat arrangements. Their Gin-based cocktails are pretty good, especially their signature gin tonic series. It’s usually not that crowded here, so it is a good choice in the area. Recommended bar in the midtown east side!

I went to the Valerie for brunch yesterday, thinking that I would have left with a great experience. However, when my party of 5 arrived we weren’t welcomed the way that we should have been. The hostesses were unfriendly and cold. The food was phenomenal and the place was very nice which is why I am rating it 3 stars. The waitress was very polite as well. I had the Korean BBQ fried chicken and it was delicious.

This place was amazing! If you're looking for a fancy (but not too fancy) place to spend a little extra (but not too extra) and impress your friends with, then this is the one. The atmosphere is very beautiful, but still manages to keep a chill vibe. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and professional. Most importantly, the food was superb!! I went with a group of like 10 people, so I got to try a lot of dishes and they were all delicious!! Don't be fooled by their so-called "flat bread," it's actually a full-blown yummy pizza! As for cocktails, I only had an old fashioned, but it was very well made. Everything about this was place is just so on point. I can't wait to go back!

The ambience of this place is absolutely incredible and it’s easily one of the best bars in town when it comes to vibe and service. However, my boyfriend is a huge whisky aficionado and they didn’t have one whisky based cocktail on the menu. So we left without actually ordering any drinks.

Valerie has an excellent ambience. My party enjoyed some cocktails. I personally ordered the Midnight in Paris (a variation of an Old Fashioned) and it was delightful. My dining partner ordered one of the many gin and tonics on menu that rotates seasonally.

The cocktail bar offers a delightful experience with a wide selection of creative cocktails and an inviting ambiance. The happy hour oysters are a fantastic addition, offering fresh and flavorful options at a great value. The staff is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're looking for a casual drink or a night out with friends, this bar is a top choice

My wife and I came in for a quick drink and stayed for almost two hours. Our bartender, Gigi, was great. She made our stay memorable and one we will be sharing with others for years to come. If you find yourself near, come in and ask for Gigi to make you a Ten Thousand Words beverage. It’s a bartender’s choice and she has some great ones to share. Cheers!

Did a birthday brunch here and it did not disappoint! I ordered the croque madame and my hubby got the Korean fried chicken and cornbread waffle. They were both great but the chicken & waffle was so unique & stole the show. They serve biscuits with your meal. Great service.

I love the atmosphere and decor of this place. They offer $1 happy hour oysters and $11 cocktails on weekdays from 4-7pm. Additionally, they have a good selection of draft beer. As for the appetizers, I highly recommend their truffle fries, avocado hummus, and flatbread.

Had 2 dozen oysters during happy hour. Asked for a cocktail recommendation to go with the oysters and the bartenders were on it. Asked for a cup of horseradish and it came in good time. Chatted it up with two custom jewelry makers who ended up inviting me to sit with them for dinner but I passed cause that's not how I do things. Like the amber colored lighting and relaxing atmosphere. Would return

Found this by chance walking in town. Stopped in for a cocktail and Valerie’s was exactly what we wanted! Decorated for Christmas with the most beautiful atmosphere and Christmas music playing. Bar menu was outstanding. Highly recommend.

I stopped in hoping for a quick early dinner. Wow was it packed! They were nice enough to find me a table. Pretty restaurant with very nice holiday decor. I had a glass of the French rose and the fig flatbread. Instead of the Camembert listed on the menu, it had blue cheese which was delicious. Good portion and nice crispy crust. I was able to have a tasty dinner and make my play.

This is by far one of my favorites! When you first walk in we were greeted with a live band. The ambiance of the bar was classy and grand. The details everywhere were beautiful. The upstairs bar is also nice and has more of a cozier feel, but still just as beautiful. We Took another bartender friend with us who said their mixologist were very good and very good drinks. The service was great and we were very well taken care of but also never felt rushed. A definite must go to while in the city.

Delicious food, good cocktails. We went for "sharing appetizers" but each one could have been a full meal on its own. Surprisingly good oysters for $1 during happy hour, duck wings were delicious and the fried were great. The cheese board was a bit underwhelming but that may have been due to the remaining deliciousness at the table.

My 4th time back Server was very nice! Love the short rib hash, steak and egg, ans Crab Cake Egg Benedict ❤️ The portion size is very large - four of us shared three plates and still did not finished

Valerie is one of the places on my list. We got a table upstairs and it was nice view we can see all the place. Drinks are just ok, I feel was a bit watery but at that time I didn't want to bother just go along with my friends. Downstairs bar looks more interesting, I wish we could sit there but maybe next time if I come back to this bar agian. Service was friendly but somehow when it late the service is kind of slow and that great.
