Museum is a two rooms space usually features 2-3 lgbtq artists or exibits. Museum is a must, their showcase that you never gonna see in any other museum. Then a saw respresentation of gendergueer and trans people, I almost cried - I realized I saw someone like me on the wall in museum for the first time.

This museum is a little off the beaten path, but it is well worth finding if you are in town. It doesn't matter if you are straight, gay, bi, trans, etc, you will leave here having learned so much. There are so many human stories that are told with the art in this museum. Next time we are in town, we plan to spend a bit more time here. Love, love, love.

Cool museum there is installation going on when I visit so only one room of the exhibition is available. Wish I knew that ahead of time because the plan was to fully immerse ourselves into the experience.

I am so happy this place exists. If I lived in New York I would visit every single exhibition. A joyous queer experience. This is free but definitely make a donation - they suggest $10. My suggestion is to pay more if you love queer culture and you are able.

Small museum, very well-curated, if you’re into LGBTQ+ art then this place is more than perfect for you. Suggested donation was $10. I think it’s also very, very funny how some 1-star reviews call this place sinful and obscene. If you also think that is funny, then you cannot miss Leslie-Lohman.

A very powerful exhibit. The woman working there today was so lovely and attentive. I will be back, and I highly recommend seeing this historic museum.

This museum is very small -- only two galleries -- but it was well worth the visit. I was in and out in probably an hour but thoroughly enjoyed my time. The staff was very friendly, and they had free postcards you could take with the price of your admission.

Cute museum. Admission fee is suggested. The work is curated under four themes: erotic, coming out, sexual outlaw and cross gender or something - sorry for my bad memory. Theme is super clear but my fondness for work differs one vs another. Really really small though.

This museum sets itself apart from all others by specifically holding art exhibits with a queer outlook. There have two separate galleries + the window displays. Me and my companions did not know this going in and really enjoyed the temporary exhibits. Entry is managed via suggested donation; staff was very kind.

Loved this. Free with suggested donation. Absolutely worth the donation, the Christian Walker exhibit was truly moving and amazing how they had sourced everything that must have been hard to access/retrieve. Absolutely worth going.

First.. about the museum... it is on a side street.. in the soho.. nicely appointed 2 intimate exhibition areas... a helpful.. i believe volunteer staff on hand with information.. the museum was relatively busy by time we left.. looked like a very mixed group of people.. all seemed very interested in the exhibition. The museum is well kept.. unisex bathrooms.. very clean.. just like the museum.. you should visit!! I liked the exhibition of the lesbian donna gottschalk whose photos display her experiences during the 60' s into the 70' s in America.. not so beautiful if you were gay or lesbian or anything other than straight.. Then there is the performance Artist... Stephen Varble.. very interesting manner of protest.. and obviously.. at least locally.. effective. The era is significant.. and clearly the early era of sexual revolution in America... Loved the outlandish outfits of this unusual fashionista.. kudos.. how wonderful and varied is our human race.. a true scourge with its ugly judgments on its own family.. human... and on the other hand so colorful, creative, and inspiring.. in so many different forms... we only need to learn and respect all... love to you all.. keep bringing all of our part of the human history... told through our eyes.. Thank you💕🌜🌟🌟🌟

We were able to see only one small exhibition as the rest of the exhibition was under reinstatement, but it was nice. Very nice staff, great space, interesting neighborhood.

A hidden gem of NYC. A beautifully curated museum, very unique and very informative. A must-see for anyone interested in feminism or queer history, or just if you're looking for an intelligent, gorgeous stop on your trip.

Love this place. Great art, fun events, accessible staff, prime location in the midst of all the other galleries. I strongly recommend stopping by on a regular basis.

Two really important exhibits currently running at the Leslie-Lohman Museum: "Beautiful, Brave Outlaws: The Photographs ofDonna Gottschalk and "Male Gaz: Life, Legend, Legacy, 50 years of Leslie-Lohman. Both shows (very different) are inspiring, moving, and a vital part of our history!!! Go see these shows and more importantly, go support this vital queer museum!!

It was a very nice exhibit, but only like 10 pictures. Also in the Internet it said there were 2 exhibitions, but it was only one because of alteration works..

LGBTQ art. Some great works I didn't know about.. the reason to go to a museum regardless of the exhibit.

The future IS queer! Wish they had some sort of warning for the self harm art in the main hall, but it was a cool place and I was happy they did suggested donations as I could not afford the $10 one.
