Despite this park being located in the northern most region of Manhattan it is not immune to the fast pace that you typically associate with Midtown. It offers a welcomed escape from the hustle and bustle of streets. Take a stroll up the hill into the park and the sounds of the city begin to dissipate and you'll hear birds, and be surrounded by trees and fresh air. This is one of my favorite parks in the city.

Despite the hills and the steps it's a nice little park to get some work done and relax when the weather is warm.

Nice clean small park. Walking paths all throughout the park, a nice open lawn area. Good for picnics or just enjoying the breeze on a summer day sitting on the benches

The best, well-shaded park in Inwood! Good for picnics, parties, also very clean!

Isham Park is a very beautiful place which exudes the spirit of the Lenape first nations indigenous peoples. I can feel it each time I am in that area of northern Manhattan.

Beautiful garden with an engaging design. Loved all of the vignettes they've created throughout. Despite it being past the prime fall foliage time, there were plenty of fall flowers to enjoy.

Beautiful hilly park situated in Inwood in northern Manhattan between Seaman Ave and Broadway. This park has lots of steps you need to ascend but it has some nice views of the neighborhood. Plenty of benches along the way to take a breather. At the top is a great place to walk your dog or push the baby in the stroller. This was the park my mother brought us to as small children. We used to climb the rock over by the tree. It was like a mountain to us! Lots of foliage and a small community garden on the egde of the park.

The park is one of my favorite places. It has baseball fields that have children playing little league on the weekends, basketball courts, etc. There are paths that break off and go into the nature and make you feel a little more alone on some of those paths. Its at the tip top of the city where the waterways join together. Well maintained and there are bathrooms by all the courts/fields.

Isham Farmer's market operates year round on Saturday from 8am-3pm. Check the website. This was my first time attending. I kept saying I was going for years and didn't make it. Today....I promised myself it was happening. I dragged my daughter along and of course she wanted to be the last to leave. ;) There were lots of Farmers from upstate etc. They were selling fresh produce, many varieties of apples etc., bakery goods, breads, fish, turkey, duck, flowers, honey & honey products etc. Many markets were represented. We left with 5 different varieties of apples, cookies, peach cobbler, bee pollen, honey, maple candy, maple cotton candy, fish and greens. It was amazing and we are definitely returning.

Neat little park to unwind and capture a bit of natural beauty. Don't forget to look for the Durst mansion just steps away...

After school times are a great way to enjoy seeing your kids play with their friends. The ambience is youthful and reminiscent of my youth. Seeing kids interact and parents be more engaging with their children is so encouraging. I like that this park has different settings so kids can be at a jungle gym, or a sand area, or swings with a view of teams playing baseball in walking distance of the river and eating/drinking establishments. Definitely recommend 9/10

I grew up in the city and this is where I had sanctuary from the madness of midtown and the welfare hotels I resided in as a child. It really does feel like an escape to the countryside.

Hidden gem, very shady. Not as as hilly as fort Tryon but a fair share of stairs.

It's like I'm deep in the woods. Great retreat from the city. I think I'll be back many times over.

I live right next to the park. It is a beautiful place; lots of community; and an open feel. I love to go out into the mountains and relax.
