AMAZING! This is definitely a must visit if you are in New York City. It lives up to all your expectations and exceeds them; when you arrive it all hits you at once. It's spectacular, especially at night. Beware of con artists though - if someone is trying to sell you a cd, don't buy it as it has nothing on it. People in costumes also try to get in your pictures or ask for a picture with you then demand money. Be cautious of this. There are so may shops and food stalls, however I think the food can be overpriced because of how many people visit. Times Square is amazing and you should definitley visit when it is safe to do so.

My teen daughter wanted to visit New York City for the first time so we went there for two days. I think the best way to see this area is at night since that is really when all the signs show their true colors. This place is really crowded with tourists so if you get any anxieties with crowds then this place is not for you. If you get up early (about 06:00) in the morning you get the see everything except the crowds.

From here you have the ultimate view of Times Square! Duffy Square is a square in the northern triangle of Times Square in New York, between 45th Street, 47th Street, Broadway and Seventh Avenue. It is a tourist attraction and also the location of the company TKTS, which offers reduced-price theater and musical tickets.

Cool spot to visit in the heart of NYC Great spot for photography, hang out, sight see and maybe see a live show for a quick sec. (Not sure if it will be worth the hype) Lots of art selling in the streets, lot of advertising exposure.

Everyone needs to visit Times Square. Though now legal, I don't feel my sense of smell should be bombarded with the scent of weed. I'm no prude. Legalize it. But goodness gracious, not every single person needs to blaze up at once in the public square.

Went there 4 times as of now... place is happening for those who want to see glamorous billboards. Midnight moment is when 1 ad is played across all the billboard synchronized. Starts from 11:57 till 12:00. Make sure you check online what are you expecting to see in Midnight event. Happens 364 eve(except new year's eve. Cosplay costume People are wondering all over place and they can allow you to take picture with you. Check the events before you go as this place is happening and gathering happen over here every weekend. Check what it has to offer so you can plan appropriately and get the best out of this place.

Huge tourist attraction. This is the location of the famous Red Steps. In this area, you will see people performing for tips. They usually will not perform until they have collected a significant amount of tips. People wearing costumes. They will want you to take a picture and it is not free. It's like $20 a photo. Tons of shopping. Lots of street food vendors and restaurants. Arriving and leaving this area just walk a few blocks so you don't get the traffic surcharge. Lots of people want you to buy a photo session. You can do it yourself bc the lighting is good. I went on a Saturday night. It was packed.

Trip to U.S.A. back in 2016. One of the sights you need to see when you are in New York. Lots of people moving and lots of billboards. Do not take pictures of just anybody and anything, people in costumes will try to rip you off. Long live marketing!

Too crowded and dirty. It's a popular tourist attraction, so please mind the crazy crowd, which brings in the trash flowing out of bins. Billboards are fine to see, but I don't get what is the hype about? If you are lucky, there me some good street performers.

Extremely crowded until around 2 in the morning literally shoulder-to-shoulder but the stores there are amazing and big and the lights are amazing and the entertainment is free unless you get your picture taken with them. Would definitely recommend everybody to experience it at least once in your life if you don't live here like myself I literally Live 2 blocks from Times Square it's loud 24/7 I don't recommend renting an apartment within four blocks of town square if you like to sleep

A must have when visiting NY. You should choose crazy times so that you can experience the whole atmosphere pretty much alone and then experience it in the middle of everything. A crazy corner.

Jam packed crowds NY police persons trying hard to manage people and vehicles converging here.Tourists Pedal rickshaws offer more jam but experience of 2 December 2023 evening time visit was unforgettable. Chaplain F.Duffy statue is forgotten as area is remembered by visitors like me only as centre of the 4 avenues by 4 streets area of Manhatten Newyork 🇺🇸 .

The sights and sounds of Times Square are truly an experience! While most businesses close at either 1 am or 3 am, the streets are full of people all night.

It's a great place to people watch if you're new to the city. Most New Yorkers avoid Times Square like the plague but this place does have the TKTS both where you can get discount Broadway tickets. The red stairs are there for a respite of all the walking you'll find yourself doing in the city. So do yourself a favor, grab a slice of cheesecake from Junior's and hang out on the steps to watch all the characters. No really, there are a lot of dressed up characters you can catch or who will catch you to take a photo but beware, if you do, they'll expect money. Sometimes they have events or performances there too. It's also a great place to snap a photo in iconic Times Square with all of the electronic billboards behind you. Just be sure to not take up the entire sidewalk with your group. And if you're walking slow taking in the sights, that's cool, just remember to stay to the right because you might get run over by a frustrated New Yorker who's just trying to get to work.

What fun this place is. Great place to people watch and just absorb the Times Square vibe. Interesting now post pandemic. Not as crowded, but still a number of people doing their thing.

As pictured, but being at the site is great. Stairs are well maintained and organized. It opens around 10am and closes later at night. Great for photos and sitting to people watch and look at the billboards and lights. They recommend not staying long, for others to get the chance to sit and enjoy

My first time is here and this place is huge, I saw many people from different parts of the world. There are also people walking who don't respect the traffic lights.

If it is the first time that you are in NY, I recommend you to visit this place. There are a lot of tourists sitting here to watch the city. I was recommended to buy a cheesecake from Junior's and eat at this place. It was super! While eating, I saw a lot of dressed up characters. Some of them ask me to take photos and it was funny.

Father duffys memorial Statue is located on the times square. As its location probably already suggests to you, the place gets pretty crowded, especially on weekends. I visited on a Saturday evening at around 11pm to 12am and there were a lot of people. Most were just looking at the times square, but it was nonetheless a challenge to get a good view of the statue. Especially with the viewing platform right behind the statue.

Unfortunately this place is not family friendly any more due to the ability to smoke weed everywhere. We tried to sit found a place were no one was smoking a family even came and sat my us and Unfortunately these young guys not rude by any means came and sat next to us and just started smoking it's really sad that you have to self medicate in order to feel okay. There selling it all day, all night, you can't even get away from it.

Excellent spot to eat Joe’s pizza. Beautiful park, sometimes filled by homeless people but there’s always an empty bench to enjoy the most interesting corner in New York City!!
