A fantastic planetarium. We've always seen great shows here. Today's was breathtaking, a tour of the planets of the solar system with excellent graphics and real science. Comfortable seats and friendly staff The only downside is poor signage to the entrance - if you end up at the other entrance on floor 2 there are no signs directing you to the right place. Make sure you go to floor 3.

This is the best place to go for Enjoyable Education, second only to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. It is disappointing that the Management succumbed to irrational & unrealistic pressure from those that would ignore the significance of Historical masterpieces, and felt compelled to remove Teddy Roosevelt's Statue without considering the overall Membership attitude toward that situation. I was a BIG Contributing Member, but canceled it after they did that. Regardless of the Administration's shortcomings, the Museum and the helpful, pleasant and professional Boots-on-the-Ground Staff are wonderful! Check out the new Mignone Hall of Gems and Minerals!

The Hayden Planetary is nothing else but excellent. The architecture: unique and inspirational. The exhibition: best I've ever seen. The theatre: amazing and bombastic. An excellent place to learn. To learn by doing, listening or just watching. The Hayden Planetary is embedded in a neighborhood of nice old buildings. A must for every NYC visitor!

Located within the American museum of natural history, this place is a myst Vista. Rich history painstakingly rebuilt to give the current and future generations a peek into the American history. Brilliant true life representation of flora, fauna, people, geography, terrain, climates, culture etc. The entry is free, the contribution is voluntary but the people there kind of coerce you to contribute. The place has parking facilities which is a boon in Central New York.

Absolutely amazing! A must see experience for anyone going to New York and who has even a passing interest in astronomy. The general admittance tickets gets you access to the entire museum of natural history.

My visit to the Haden Planetarium left me with a sense of disappointment and a desire for a refund. The "Peoples" exhibits, while attempting to showcase diverse cultures, seemed to fall short, often overlooking non-European perspectives. The standing planetarium show, unfortunately, paled in comparison to those I've experienced in New England, lacking the immersive quality one would expect. The museum's overall quality doesn't come close to the majestic Royal Museum in Toronto. The planetarium and its silly spiral exhibit felt mediocre, leaving me questioning the value of the entrance fee. In hindsight, I wish I could get a refund, as the experience was far from worth it.

Massive screen with surround sound that describes our solar system in a well narrated documentary. It's a must if you have never been to this planetarium.

I live in NYC and this is one of my favorite places to go. It's so much fun. The shows are amazing and the exhibits, both in the museum and planetarium, are excellent plus educational. You can have a good time and learn a lot. It's a great place for a family outing, a date, something to do with friends, or even by yourself. I highly recommend a visit.

Best museum in NYC, IMHO. You can easily spend most of the day here. Don't miss the planetarium shows!

Fun interactive experience for many exhibits. Lots and lots of standing and walking needed. Cafes and gift shops available throughout. Not all exhibits are accessible by the visually impaired or wheel chair accessible which was disappointing.

Due to planning issues on my side, I did not have a chance to see anything except the show in the planetarium. The show 'Worlds beyond earth' was highly disappointing. I have been to multiple shows in the Planetarium in Bengaluru, India that have always captivated me. There is a nice intro into the topic and then very highly interesting information narrated in the form of a story. The information is explained in a manner that people of all ages, different education levels would easily understand. The Hayden show was just a few images and videos and facts put together in no specific order. And it focused only on some planets in the Solar System, nothing beyond. I lost interest in the very first few minutes.

Loved the show on the potential for life on other worlds in our solar system. First time for me at the Hayden Planetarium, but it was a great experience. Tickets tend to sell out the day of, so I strongly recommend buying in advance.

Excellent exhibition with spectacular visuals, sounds effects, and music. Worlds Beyond Earth takes viewers on an exhilarating expedition through the solar system, from our own blue planet to far beyond the habitable zone.

After arriving and asking to go to planetarium they told us it would be $60 extra for 5 as we had the 3 day city pass. Now the difference normally is only $5 yeat we payed $12 each. Not cool at all. Also the have changed it from Neil degrass Tyson narrating to some other person. Disappointed this time.

Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about the museum. This is the perfect place to take your family and kids. You still have to wear your mask but the whole experience is worth taking the trip to NYC.

A super experience. Would recommend a lower age limit as it became difficult to catch everything due to constant crying. The scheme is incredibly good. Highly recommended!

This review is for the American Museum of Natural History. The exhibits were extraordinary, the staff was 5 star🌟. As a gemologist, I have to admit my favorite collections reside in the Allison and Roberto Mignone Hall of Gems and Minerals.

Worlds Beyond Earth was a great show, everything else esp. the big bang show is way too short

Great planetarium and their shows are super interesting to watch. 4 starts due to the people in front of us being on their phones and audibly talking throughout the entire show and having the staff do nothing about it which put a damper on the overall experience after they were so strict when explaining the rules.

The MONH & the Hayden were of UTTER fascination to me as a youngster. Having grown up in NYC, I understood it's cultural value to the rest of American society; and indeed to it's valuable place in global culture. As an adult (who no longer lives in NYC) I ❤️ my life in California, BUT, NOWHERE ELSE is like NYC, and this institution is a DIRECT reflection of why I say that.

Love it here, came to see the Space show with my son who I love so much... I recommend at least visiting the museum as it free or a donation (whichever you want)to residents of NYC with an id, hope my son liked it!!

I visited last week. I only had a few hours so I didn't get to see everything. My time there was amazing. Already planning another trip from Florida with more time to explore. Will be interesting to see what changes now that the Big Bang and age of universe is in question, thanks to JWST. Keep up the great exhibits!

The space show, Worlds Beyond Earth, is a special exhibition requiring an additional ticket. It is approximately 25 minutes long. The show is visually stunning and not overly technical, so it is accessible to viewers of all ages.

From our entire trip to new York, seeing the planetarium presentation was my son's favorite memory. I definitely recommend it for anyone of any age who's even slightly interested in space and the solar system. It really is impressive. I was expecting blurry outdated video accompanied by a lecture, but it's sharp and entertaining (and educational!)

It was great as always. Love the use of Openspace. Can't wait to see it utilized in other space shows
