My firm had its holiday party here on 12/5/19. We had a cocktail hour and champagne reception from 6-7pm downstairs and then moved upstairs for dinner and dancing. My colleagues are still talking about how much fun they had. Not only is the venue beautiful but the staff and service were exceptional. Rather than leaving at 10pm when our party concluded, our senior partners choose to stay and add on an additional hour because they were having such a good time, they did not want to leave. Zhanna, the event coordinator is amazing, she was very helpful and responsive. Even when I was running around like a crazy person, she was calm and organized and never made me feel like my requests were annoying or inconvenient. We try new places each year but there is no question I would love to come back here for another party and would strongly recommend this venue for your upcoming events.

Super amazing food and wonderful service. The scallops were so fresh and the lobster pasta was HUGE!!! They also have a live band in the evening with super romantic music, you must try this place in the upper east side! 👍👍👍

You know, this place is way too far below the radar. I went in with a guest from Europe, for brunch, and I was shocked at the fact that the place wasn't packed. The whole block on that street had scaffolding but the interior of the place looked amazing! Some really interesting light fixtures, support posts, the bar etc. All were cool and bright and consistent with each other. It's one of those places that actually lives up to the pictures you'll find on websites. We had a voucher for brunch. I wanted to present it to the hostess but either she didn't hear me the first time I mentioned it or she forgot. Either way, I had to keep an eye out for her to tell her about it. I considered pulling a star for that because it took so long, but when I look at the overall experience, it isn't enough on its own to give a demerit. The food came out quickly and the service staff took their jobs very seriously. I'll be back again. Maybe I'll throw a small party in one of their private dining areas. You coming? You should!

We went there for a dinner and a show. The interior looks really nice. First floor is a bar and the second is a dining area. Drinks taste very good. This was supposed to be S&M show. However, the show is kinda lame. There were hostess, 2 gymnasts ( good performance), one fire swallower, and a girl who sings and plays violin. ( really well by the way) The acting was bad though. The hostess stripped but nobody else did :( After the show ended, everybody started dancing. There is a DJ and the music plays all the time. Sittings are semi private. Food is just OK. We ordered a prefix menu but most of the food that was included in the prefix menu has a surcharge $10 to $25. Usually, prefix menu is separate from the regular menu and you can see the price, but it felt like we are being tricked. We were offered no coffee or tea by the waiters with the dessert from the prefix menu. Unlike common practice, for the large group the 20% tip was added instead of 18%.

Restaurant week review. Great food, high-end vibe, attractive clientele. Octopus had a nice grilled flavor and still as moist and tender as it can be, which can't be an easy feat to pull of on a grill. Sauce went well with it. Braised short rib was done perfectly and a healthy portion size. Chocolate cake was decent although my preference would be served closer to room temp rather than cold. "Bitter end" was excellent, not as bitter as the name and ingredients list might lead one to believe, although it was definitely all there.

I was looking for a private event location for my friend’s birthday. We wanted something different this year. ZAVŌ has an upstairs lounge and restaurant that overlooks Third Avenue. It is beautifully decorated and the food is some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. The icing on the cake was the live entertainment! Spectacular live music and professional dancers.

I came with my business partners and we had a great time. The food was excellent. I ordered Black Sea Bass with mashed potatoes. Perfectly made. Very ambient environment with very pretty designs all over the restaurant. Glad I came with my business partners. Definitely coming again.

I feel like Saturday night was a dream! What an incredible new addition to NYC fine dining. We ate on the second floor of ZAVŌ and it included live entertainment. We had a DJ and aerial acrobats! The waiter said that each night is different entertainment. Coming back for Venetian night on Saturday!

I booked a last minute large party reservation for my birthday. The staff were very patient with me and super accommodating. The venue was absolutely stunning. The food was incredible and all of my guests were happy. I already plan to go back for my anniversary so that I can try more of their amazing dishes. Special thank you to Ana, Zhanna, and Ilya for being so gracious and professional and for making my night so special.

Zavo Restaurant and Lounge was a great experience! I went for Restaurant Week on a quiet Wednesday night after a very rainy day. They were friendly and seated me quickly. The decor was nice, it's a big spacious venue with 2 rooms and a bar off to the side along one wall. There was a candle and a vase of red roses on each table. The service was good. Staff was friendly, and they were even good about refilling my water (& with my preferred "no ice" at that!). The food was delicious! Their plating was great, and the taste even better! I'm not big on crab cakes, and so I can't comment on that, but the short rib and puréed potatoes were delicious, as was the crème brûlée dessert with blackberries and mint. I definitely recommend this place, and would happily return!

Our corporate party was held at the new Zavo restaurant’s private dining room. Great location, across from Bloomingdales and steps from the subway. Our catering staff was superb, taking care of everything so we could enjoy the event. Fantastic wine list and top Mediterranean food. Loved the DJ and dancers. Really unique place in the city for an event.
