One of the largest magic shops in the country. The best staff and customers will amaze and astound you. Visiting the shop, you'll probably encounter a handful of famous magicians that just so happen to swing by... Not to mention the regulars, who are often very talented individuals looking to share and practice their craft! Ask someone to show you a trick, they'll probably have something to show you.

Excellent demonstrations of magic before buying most effects. A good selection of introductory magic sets for beginners, and high quality wood and brass items for professionals. The book section needs more loving attention in display as there are some gems hidden there. The Houdini Museum area is a fun collection of artifacts and photos worth taking your time to browse.

Wonderful but small card/magic shop + mini Houdini Museum! Super friendly staff demonstrate card tricks and will offer pointers for the novice shopper. Only drawback is how small it is, limits what’s available for the browser. Still, a business that totally adds to the richness of NYC. Go there.

It's a short experience but it's nifty. Being able to see the relics of Houdini and a few other magicians was good time and the clerk there does magic tricks. The suggested time there is about 45 mins to an hour, me and my group didn't take that long but it was a good experience nonetheless.

Amazing hidden gem! This magic shop has a great staff, and some amazing props from Harry Houdini himself!

Now the Houdini Museum, an amazing experience! Got to try to escape from a straitjacket, watch the resident magicians do many card tricks, view dozens of original artifacts from Harry Houdini himself, the world's most famous magician, and leaned a ton and his life. A great few hours with friends.

The Houdini exhibit was amazing. We visited Fantasma because my husband is a magic enthusiast and it didn’t disappoint. The super friendly guy who was working there when we visited showed us many tricks for beginners and we bought an amazing starter kit that he recommended to us.

Although slightly eh to have to be proofed by the front desk, it makes complete sense when you see the the museum-like store. It is clearly a professionally curated and managed place with excellent displays and top notch service. I didn't catch his name, but the worker there mentioned he was somewhat new. Awesome guy. He was a real showman and and a casual salesman with no push. Also was a fun visit for me and my wife with all the museum quality Houdini artifacts and displays they have. It was also interesting to hear the desk banter between the new dude and a guy looking for a new trick "to add to his repertoire." They threw around all sorts of trade lingo and we thought that was so cool. My daughter loved the place and was sweetly shown quick demonstrations of various tricks. Great place for kids birthday presents or seriously professional magic paraphernalia. Even the visitor who new his magic seemed impressed with their offerings .Highly recommended. I'm serious-that employee couldn't have been better.

Came there Feb 202, 4th floor as on the address and place doesn't exist. Called the number twice and no one picked up. Guess the place is closed.
