What a wonderful day for girls..go to the salon..BUT MAKE SURE YOU BOOK..even though it seemed that they could cater for some none booked visitors that wasn't an option. So lots of little girls upset. Lots of items to choose from and the funniest thing was the hanger for your doll in the restroom. 2 floors of girls doll heaven.

OMG..such a girly place. Everything that a little princess and her doll need..personally for me too much pinky rosy and red colors and overdoing in all the forms with dolls and their stuff 😅 but very sweet and amazing shop paying attention to all the details, also with salon and cafe. Prices bite! Just do not enter with your girl if you don’t want to buy EVERYTHING a girl (and a doll) wants and needs 😅 be sure to book an appointment at salon/make reservations at the cafe very well in advance!

The service here is fantastic. You can tell that the employees really love what they do. There's a wide selection of dolls. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for the salon for your little one and their doll. It's quite the experience! The only thing that surprised me was the quality of the dressing rooms. They were dirty, small with no seating and not what I would consider accessible. Everything else was pretty on point.

This store is huge, well organized, and well stocked. The checkout process was a little complicated but everyone working was very helpful if we had any questions. We loved looking at all of the accessories, dolls, and outfits. It's nice that there are so many "hands-on" exhibits as well.

Wow this was awesome!!! I scheduled a personal shop for my 4yr old and it was well needed. This place is huge and it’s sooo much to choose from. Maria was phenomenal. The initial interaction with the staff wasn’t great. Some ppl are just rude but Maria made up for it. 1 doll, dog accessory, brush, 4 outfits and about $350 spent. My daughter was happy, my sis n I enjoyed something we sure didn’t have and my husband was happy we were happy.

We’ve been American Girl Cafe many times in Los Angeles and Dallas and we’ve always had fresh food. We visited the NYC location today and were surprised that we were served obviously reheated, not freshly-baked cinnamon rolls, wilted celery sticks, and red molded lettuce in the salad. I would never serve something like this to my family. I’m hugely disappointed that they’d charge $27+/ person and serve mediocre food. I do not recommend eating at this cafe.

I was amazed by this store. My friend Andie joined us and I got my first All American Doll, Isabel. I LOVE her. Andie got her doll, Rebecca's hair done in the salon. Everyone is friendly and kind. We loved our cashier who checked us out and the staff at the salon. The cafe was amazing! Loved every aspect of it and hope to get Samantha soon as I saw they were selling her again as well. I have a wishlist now. It's perfect for everyone! Kids big or small, it's a place that will transform you and bring you back to great memories of your childhood. I felt at home and look forward to my next visit.

Be very careful coming in here with your kids…or your spouse. Nearly impossible to leave empty handed. Some fun gifts can be found in this store.

So many lifelike dolls to choose from! You can pretty much customize each doll too! Yes it’s very expensive so be ready to pay up! A doll outfit is the cost of a regular size outfit! How the heck does that make sense. I like that they sell books about each toll and they tell a story. You can come here and explore the place! It’s nicely laid out. Check it out if you have young kids and in the Rockefeller Plaza area!

We traveled 70 miles here for my child’s birthday. Had lunch at the Cafe and it was good. They had seats for the dolls, the doll got a plate & cup that we got to take home and we all got a cute hair tie to take home. Lots of areas throughout the building for the children to play with their dolls. I had to remove 2 stars due to our experience with the salon. We went to get the doll’s ears pierced, paid, then found out we couldn’t even watch. The worker took the doll to a “back room” and brought her back once her ears were pierced. It was disappointing and upset my daughter a lot that even she could not watch. However with all the other salon services, the children can watch what is being done to their doll. There was no “experience” with the ears piercing and highly recommend that it gets changed so that the children can watch what is being done to their doll. It was not even mentioned on the website that we could not watch or honestly I wouldn’t have paid for it. Despite the salon experience, my child had a great time & hopefully we can come again.

What more to say other than this is probably every girls dream visit to NYC. So, so many American Girl dolls, and outfits, and salon, and cafe. The salon and cafe will likely require reservations in advance, which we didn’t know… but the girls still loved browsing through all of the options for their new dolls.

My 9 yo and 6 yo daughters LOVED our trip here. Their 2 AG dolls got their hair do e, ears pierced, and nails done. Moe, their stylist, went above and beyond, entertaining the girls, grandmas, and me while beautifying the dolls. She really was the best. My daughters pushed Bitty around the store in a pram, played in the playhouses, and sang in the "recording studio." It was awesome to see the real life-size larger than doll setups for the different dolls. My favorite was the 80s doll and her bed, accessories and arcade games. Brought back so many memories! The cafe was perfect for lunch. The 3 dolls each had a high chair at the table and got plates and cups to bring home. It would've been cute tto have fake cinnamon buns for the dolls, as they were delicious and part of the AG story we read on the menu. Our server was knowledgeable about everything on the menu, which I appreciated bc my daughter has a tree nut allergy. There was a nice variety of food and the 5 people in my party were satisfied. Girls got milkshakes, club sandwiches were good, mac and cheese never disappoints, and the chocolate mousse flower pots were delicious. It did take longer than I would've liked for lunch, but overall it was great!

We found American girl on our way to Rockefeller center. My daughter instantly saw the store and asked me to go inside. My first reaction was that the store was well organized and the dolls were presented beautifully. It truly is a child’s dream. My daughter chose her first American doll and was so excited to see the various accessories they have. Store was pretty busy and I only saw one sales associate but she was kind and answered my questions. It is a unique experience and I’m glad that my daughter had a memorable birthday experience.

Beautiful, well kept store. I prefer this location to the last one on 5th avenue. Great range of products. Visiting on a Monday it was super quiet so a great time to come and take photos. Was sad to see so many dolls sold out.

Fantastic play space if you’re not ready to buy the expensive dolls and accessories. Their cafe is cute with hair chairs for the dolls. I went to their private shopping event and had a great time. They offer salon services for the kids and dolls too. A must see place if your kids like the dolls!

Very fun for American girl doll lovers. This place has so many dolls that it is insane. The food is good. Service is quick and friendly. Makes me feel like such a kid again. Expensive and crowded. Great customer service. Such a great experience and highly recommended if you're in the area.

A spectacle in modern society! It is a very unique experience to see children having fun trying to dress up their dolls to look just like themselves. Was also surprised to see how carefully the store staff treated the doll’s hair and repaired the outfit. The doll was treated so well!

We had the most wonderful experience at the American Girl Cafe. Our table was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff were so friendly. Everything exceeded our expectations, and at such a reasonable price! My granddaughter was so thrilled...we will definitely do this again.

I brought my daughter for her 6th birthday and the experience was absolutely amazing!! From the host in the cafe addressing her by name to the care they took to the entire table including her brand new doll was top notch! Certainly an experience she won't forget.

Visited with family from out of town and the kids loved it, the food was good and service was great. The food is pretty basic, I was surprised that there were not more kid friendly options, but the server was very accommodating and we were able to order a 'normal' burger, which is my godson's term for a burger with nothing on but ketchup. I do have to say that they had one of the best sweet potato fries.

Awesome collection of dolls. Service staff was helpful, though the manager/supervisor ignored that customer was talking and were instructing to do a different job. To know the price you need to go upto the counter.
