This is a wonderful church that's been around for a long long time. While I do not attend this church it's uses a holding for background but it is still a wonderful church that it's up and running and I highly recommend it if you do come in want to say stop by and say hello. Beautiful space located right across the street from Washington Square Park. Saw the movement "Failure" by Laura Peterson. Performance was really interesting and much different than I expected. Rebuilding and destroying society...look at the pics.

A place of Worship; entertain;council; private events; and refuge. Certain days feeding the less fortunate. They have no staff, upon entering you become part of Judson Family.

Loved it! They are a very artistic church, full of free art events and even an Arts Manifesto. Check the Movement Research performances on Monday and the Art Wednesdays (:

Applied for contract work there and the individual was unprofessional, had me come in for training, forgot about it and nearly stood me up, when we finally met it wasn’t training. It was an interview but he barely paid attention and never followed up as promised. I believe the issue was I was female and they wanted a male in that position because it supposedly required lifting 50 lbs. The mirror less camera with the lens comes in at 3 pounds or so. This is gender discrimination.

Very sweet and inclusive church in the neighborhood, big on helping people, which I love. Reverend Micah Bucey has a sweet, eloquent, and genuine way to preach God's word. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Iconic Church with so many artful offerings. The namesake location of Judson Dance Theater movement of the 1960’s, it is still very much the place to be to see experimental dance and performance. Movement Research’s free Monday night series is a highlight.

Though I haven’t attended I just had a wonderful phone call with Melissa at the church. I had some wonderful news for a member and she was incredibly gracious and efficient getting the message to the person so quickly! What a beautiful church!

This is my favorite church in town for open minded open-armed people who have a sound theology and also a love for the arts.

Face mask and covid vaccine required to enter Sunday service. I feel the vaccine requirement is unnecessary. 💕Service was amazing. Intimate. Unique. Welcoming. Spontaneous. Inclusive. Out of the box! Grateful to have gone.

Great venue for arts, especially Movement Research, and as a space for organizations like XR, but the church is too "churchy" and also passively exclusionary. They say they are wholly inclusive but are not (I know this from experience). The arts program it runs itself are more mainstream than former programs like Judson Dance Theater. Movement Research is a separate entity that uses Judson's space. Once in a while something truly Avant-Garde will be presented, but not nearly as often as you'd think.

Asked to use the restroom and the receptionist refused. Antithetical to a church despite a giant sign saying bathroom downstairs. Not Christian at all. Avoid donating to this church

Rev. Micah Bucey leads this gorgeous space for worship, artistic creation, and sanctuary. Thank God they exist, and thank God for all the good work they do. NYC would be much worse off without their efforts.
