    Beautiful, high quality pearls. However, the sales process felt dishonest. Unless you know exactly what you are looking for, make sure you ask them to show you all pearl quality of a style available in stock (e.g. A, A+, AA, AAA). They showed me only 3 out of the 4 qualities actually available, probably for dramatic effect, so I would pick the higher quality pearls. Not a great experience.

    My pearl necklace which my husband purchased at this location over 5 years ago broke so I went to get the piece fixed. I also brought my matching pearl earrings so that I can show Mikimoto that I received them as a set. The service advisor looked at the pieces and the intake process took less than 10 minutes. I told her that I did not have the receipt. She said that since she can tell that they are Mikimoto pieces, she will repair the necklace for free and clean the earrings for me free of charge. The entire process took less than 15 days so I am a happy camper. I will definitely buy from this location again.

    On June 9th, it’s my first time visiting this location. I went with my cousin at 11am to this ONLY ONE NYC Mikimoto. We were both looking for a pair earrings. When a Asian guy saw us on the seconds floor, he said: okay you look around. No greeting, no smiling. I can tell from his eyes that he doesn’t want to help us. When my cousin saw a pair earrings from display, and she said she loved them. This sales turn and asked with one. I also found one that I very liked, but he doesn’t seem care. He told my cousin that earrings’ pearl size are 10mm with great diamonds and price is 10k. After her try them on, we asked for a pair studs. Both were not speaking to her. We want him to get us some subjection. (You won’t believe what he said to us!!! ). Yeah~ Keep searching and one day you will find a pair. After the experience, I finally understand why they’re hiring everyday!

    Selection is good, with high quality pearls and a wide range of options. However, the service is lackluster. The associate who assisted us spent way too long grabbing products from the back every time we want to see something new, and I can’t believe that we spent almost 2 hours in the store, with 80% of time simply waiting. Convenience is a big problem at this store, and if it doesn’t match the level of the products, it’s going to drive away a lot of brand followers.

    We had a horrible experience at Mikimoto, and Lulu (a short hair Asian lady in her 50s) was the one “helping” us. Lulu was like a new sales person who just finished their one day training and started to pour her very limited knowledge to us, without letting us speak. She talked nonstop about how great quality the pearls are, with a superior tone, as if we were coming to get education. When we asked to see some necklaces, we explicitly told her what we wanted, but unfortunately she completely ignored us and kept showing us “her favorite” pieces. And when we were thinking between two pieces, she tried very hard to have us pay for the one with the diamond since “you’re already spending so much money” “you don’t need many, but a good one!”, and taught us her philosophy “as a professional yoga trainer”. It’s hard to believe that Mikimoto’s hiring standard has dropped too low. Would never wanna buy stuff from this Lulu person.

    My mother was in town for 3 days and needed her pearl necklace restrung before she departed. I came into the store on a Monday night and was greeted by a pleasant doorman who opened the door for me. I walked in and made my way toward the closest employee (who was perfectly postured behind the glass counter). I explained my situation and she offered to rush the order at no additional cost in order to have it done by Wednesday night or Thursday morning. She said she would call me Wednesday to confirm with me. Wednesday evening rolls around and still no phone call. I called the store to check the status and there was a bunch of confusion to say the least. (like where the necklace was, if it was done, if they had it, they couldn't find the receipt on file, etc.) Finally, after a bunch of back and forth we were informed that the necklace was ready to be picked up. Pick up went smoothly. I appreciate the effort put forth by the people working in customer service; however, they need to get their admin department a little more organized when you call.. I have higher standards from a place like this one.

    I have been a long time customer of Mikimoto over 30 years. My first purchase was pearl earrings,then a beautiful pearl and diamond pendant. I still have these items and they are still beautiful...I have recently purchased 2 bracelets and another pendant. I however,will not purchase another piece of Mikimoto jewelry.!!!! I needed another box for my recently purchased bracelet and company policy states that I cannot have another box. The blue box is defective and does not stay closed I simply want a box that works. I will take my business elsewhere as I don't want to spend another penny of my hard earned income with a company that does not appreciate customer loyalty. I called customer service several times and one representative said if I mailed them my defective box they would replace it, then another representative said it's not true they cannot give me another box....for a large company like Mikimoto I would think they would rather keep their loyal customers happy.

    We had a delightful experience at Mikimoto in NYC in December 2023. Our sales person was highly trained and very patient as we were shopping. She listened to what I was looking for and worked very hard to please us. Her pearl knowledge was amazing and her ability to connect with the customer was appreciated. We ended our shopping trip with new earrings and a glass of champagne.

    I shipped the triple strands family heirloom from my father to my mother to me to Mikimoto of NY.. they did a fabulous job restrung pearls and replaced the 18K Mikimoto clasp for me at very reasonable cost. The pearl necklace were bought in 1969. Thank you very much. I love it so much I bought a 5 strands from Mikimoto. MANY THANKS

    I went in just to take a look. I did not purchase anything however there was a lovely lady called Ursula who took he time to introduce the brand to me whilst giving me tour of the pieces. It's currently out of my price range however she gave me a wonderful experience. Please pass along my thanks.

    Quality products and quality service. They moved the Store a few buildings closer to 57th Street on 5th Avenue. Building is now a bit more secure. Great place to get your pearl necklace restrung.

    I sent a bracelet to be restring and they did a fabulous job. There was an issue with the delivery (Fed Ex fault, not them) and everything was rectified. Their customer service is truly amazing and would not hesitate to recommend them or do business with them again. Thank you for your excellent service Mikimoto.

    This is a very luxurious and eye catching location. The interior design is very soothing and modern. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the security and client specialist. I came here looking for a gift and Todd was exceptionally helpful in finding a set of earrings which suited my budget and expectations. I’m very pleased with the service.

    I had a very nice shopping experience here! My sales Ursula is a very patient and thought person, she asked me and my friends what we wanted to drink even before we started seeing anything. She recommended me several styles which matches my wedding dress and gave some good advice. Before I left, she wrote down all information for me about the one I picked, and told me that she understood that I might not buy it today because I probably need more time to compare this one with other brands I was seeing.

    I visited Mikimoto on 5th Avenue in NYC recently. I was expecting a luxurious experience, but I got far from that. Didn't receive a proper tour of the jewelry on display. There were several chairs to sent down, but I wasn't invited to sit anywhere and check out the catalog. My first time go round no one left a card to contact for a follow-up. No brochure, no small shopping bag as a consolation for visiting during covid. The one star is for the security man at the door who was fantastic. Everything else was lack luster. God Bless.
