👍👍 This park has come a long way in the many years I have known it. As a former lifeguard at the pool in this park I can tell you it was not all cardinals and redbud trees back in the day. Today it is absolutely lovely and a special place for the local resident to come sit and enjoy nature. In the sum... People often mention pool, park, clean, bring, nice, lock,

This park has come a long way in the many years I have known it. As a former lifeguard at the pool in this park I can tell you it was not all cardinals and redbud trees back in the day. Today it is absolutely lovely and a special place for the local resident to come sit and enjoy nature. In the summer the park will be packed with kids coming swimming and folks picnicking all around. So lovely to see the NYC Parks Department making an impact all over the city.

Not a lot of great pools in the city. This happens to be one of them. Huge with a calm atmosphere. Kind of off the beaten track as they say. That's a good thing.

One of the best pools in NYC. The only complaInt I have is that some staff members are not nice, always having an attitude. There is one person who has a very nasty, condescending disposition, Simon who is the chief of lifeguards. He should not be interacting with the public at all.

I was very surprised by this place because I heard many different things about it. But when I went with my daughter over 4 years ago , I was glad I did. There are always police and nyc parks deparment there so if you need help have questions etc they will help. They have a spot for the ladiesand men to change, and they make sure you bring your own lock. That's something you definitely need to have, and they ask for when you enter. They do a bag check before entering. The pool is clean and has a big kiddie pool and a huge lap pool for older all kids and adults to enjoy. Places to sit and eat basketball court workout area, handball court. The pools get cleaned by a certain time period, which is when you can choose to leave or hang around.

I would give this place a 4 but I will never understand the harsh a** rules with this pool! I was wearing a navy blue shirt and got told i had to switch into actual swimwear. NEWSFLASH, not everyone goes to bodies of water seasonally. Lucky a friend let me borrow their white shirt so I put my blue shirt inside my locker but uh oh! the lockers are too damn small. You need to bring your own lock only for your big beach bag and change of shoes to not fit. I came with 3 women.. The ladies all shared 3 lockers but had to shove our stuff inside for it to fit since we didnt have enough locks. I enjoyed that the pool wasnt too deep though. This public pool could use some serious changes.

Great outdoor facility. Arrive with your swim gear under your clothes as there are no changing rooms. Buy a small sturdy lock for your free locker. Pool closes from 3-4 for cleaning. Great amenity & a welcome break from the scorching sun!

Love this pool but wish they had the kid pool open this summer because they also don’t allow any kind of floatation supports 🙃

Good place to bring children. Located at Houston and Pitt Streets. Entrance on Pitt Street. Parks Department does a great job keeping the premises clean. 7th Precinct is located at the sw corner of Delancey and Pitt Streets. Has restrooms for visitors to the swimming pool.

There is a big line to get in and you have to wait a lot. the staff it's not as good as it should be and sometimes they are rude. I didn't feel safe in there.

An excellent resource which needs some organisation to get to. You need to bring your own padlocks for the lockers. There is a hardware store which is 10 mins walk away. It has set times to swim and then closes for cleaning for an hour. It is a big pool (50m) with a smaller kids pool next to it. Staff were friendly and those using it looked like locals who use it all the time. It was a hot day and the ground was very hot so sandals it flip flops are a must.

A NYC parks Department gym with a small array of equipment. There are small lockers, bring a lock. There are no showers. Masks are required but not everyone uses them

Staff is not on the same page. They do not allow certain baithing suits for kids. Some people said yes others no. Staff is not the best at talking to people. However the pool is so nice. Lockers feel grimey. Check before you put stuff in.

Also known as Pitt pool. It's changed thru the decades. Popular park in neighborhood if ure bird watcher nice place to run into some popular hawk's, and other species of birds. There's a pool, that is usually at capacity, The east river park is close and with new developments just a beautiful place to hangout.

A lot of rules, like you have to enter without a shirt, phone, etc you have to go through some water to get in holding your book and towel outside. Other than that, the pool is big and looks clean
