Beautiful historic building with rotating art exhibitions and various items on permanent display. Many parks department events for volunteers are held here and they always have tons of amazing food. Help your city be greener and feast!

This building is great to look at due to its symmetrical design. It can be found in Central Park, New York City next to Central Park Zoo. It was built between 1847 and 1851 as a store house for arms and ammunition for the New York State Militia. This is the second oldest building in Central Park, the oldest being Blockhouse No 1, which was constructed in 1814. If you are in Central Park, head towards the Zoo. The building is well worth taking a look.

Historic building facing Fifth Avenue, next to the Central Park Zoo. NYC Parks and Recreation, NYC Historic Homes Trust and other entities occupy the building. The building's staff is polite and attentive. This Landmark structure was built around 1808 replacing the original Arsenal.

A historic landmark building that pre-dates Central Park. Beautiful architectural details - plus a rooftop catering facility that provides some amazing views of the park!

Today, at The Arsenal Public Restroom, I was denied a public bathroom access with my 10lb service dog. I was told to “leave him outside”. He is not just a pet. All Service and ESA animals consider to be a “medical tool” by a federal and state law. And denying them is discriminatory. I have necessary documents with me. I fly with him, I go everywhere with him. But apparently I can’t use PUBLIC restroom. I was alone, I couldn’t leave my dog with a friend. I would have to leave him outside where he could be taken. All that happened in a very rude dismissive form. In front of 4 other male guards. No understanding. No courtesy. No willing to help. Very humiliating..

Its not the building. Its the fact that all government agencies websites suck so bad. Why? Cant you get a reputable company to build out a functional website? Why is this the norm for government?

The tennis permit employees are so helpful and nice as well as quick. 10/10. I ran in a few minutes before they closed and they got my permit done in like 2 seconds and I was out before they closed. Super fast and super nice.

Historic Building, and a rooftop space with offices. It's closed to the public, but they sometimes host events in the evenings up there. you can even get to one of the offices by climbing a ladder. The hallways' peeling paint does pose a lead poisoning and asbestos hazard if your not careful, so try not to breathe in deep breaths as much. Other than that a great place to go!

If you want to learn about some cool historic things in NYC. Come visit the Arsenal. So many fun things to do. Especially if you have children; you can visit the zoo, theater or even the puppet show on the weekend.

So much fun! Decided to take a few friends over before the park closed and we had a blast! Definately suggest bringing your own cardboard just in case there aren't any left over from past people but it's a definite must for people and families all ages!

Favourite place to bring out of town guests! Bring wax paper or cardboard and race down the slides! I could easily spend hours here!

I'm going to bring my 6 yr and 10 yr old nieces here and they will BEHOLD another reason why I'm their favorite uncle. Then I'm going to bring my twenty and thirty yr old friends here and have them BEHOLD the same thing.
