We purchased a 3 day pass before arriving and with 4 days in the city we could make all the sights we wanted day and night. Loved biking through Central Park, the Guggenheim, water taxi from Brooklyn Bridge past the Statue of Liberty and taking in the heights at night. We had no problem with queues but did plan the times and directions we wanted to travel. Love NY

We had two 5 day passes and it saved us money but didn't saved us time, the queue for pass holders is bigger than regular ticket holders for some places, other places are not busy at all specially if you go early in the morning like we did. We saved about 200$ each with the pass. We did about 13 locations using the pass in 5 days. Statue of Liberty and museums are the busiest while top of the rock and empire state building was not as bad.

Five stars on the pass, 2 stars on how it works. The pass is excellent and has many awesome experiences to do, but it does not make reservations clear to you. It tells you that you don't have to wait in lines but when you get to the places you have to reserve immediately to then use it. They should allow everything to be booked like they do with the Empire State Building and some other experiences. It doesn't make sense that I need to go to the place I want to visit with the pass, wait in line to reserve and take the ticket, come again at the time reserved, to make the line AGAIN with your tickets to go in. It makes you waste a lot of time! We really couldn't do much with it because of the time lost getting to the places to reserve. Actually, my experience for the first time buying the pass was not the best...

The NY Pass had lots to offer. I had a 5 day pass for a 7 day stay in NY. NY is SO big and there is so much to do I found it difficult to fit in all the activities I had planned with the pass. I naively thought I would be able to do 2 major museums and galleries on the same day. Impossible to really appreciate them. The major activities I used the pass for were the MET, MoMA, Gugenhiem, Top of the Rock, Empire State, bicycle ride around central park, hop-on-hop-off bus. I purchased my pass at a reduced rate of 25% off so the entry costs would have been more than the cost of the pass for the places I visited. The real benefit of the pass is not having to waste too much time in queues, and just showing your pass to get through quickly. What was disappointing was that you had to queue to separately obtain the hop-on-hop-off bus ticket and its only valid for 1 calendar day with having 3-4 routes to explore, too hard to do in one day.

we had the best deal with the new york pass. and could visit more than 108 attractions in the whole city. we bought it for 4 person for 10 days. and i must say it was the best choice and possibilty to see the most interessting touristic attractions in new york!! i am really thankful that something like this exists! for me the best thing was the yankees game ticket which is also included with the ny pass!! belows are fotos of things we visited with the ny pass!

If you are going to NY to sightsee you must get this pass. It saved us so much time and money! In 4 days we were able to see everything that we planned. We had no issues at all. Be sure and read the rules and note where you need reservations. Look online you can usually find a discount off the price.

They scam u with the price. They write "hurry up and buy before the price increases". But the price never increases. It's always "on sale". I bought it during a winter campaign, but surprise surprise...the price is still the same, except they move the date for the "increas" continuously. The pass itself is hopefully good, but they are really scammers about their price policy. Edit: the NY pass gives excellent value. Our 5 days pass cost 250$, and we have used it for more than 500$. So much fun included: bike rentals, spectacular views, hop on/off bus, lunch, madam Tussauds, RiseNY, RideNYC, Intrepid, boats etc.

Got a 3 day pass September 2021, got a late start on day one and still managed to see a bunch of great sights. No problems with the pass/app. All the places we visited scanned it, and welcomed us in. I had expected at least a little hassle, and got none! This was considerably easier than buying tickets at each place, and we managed to spend half with the New York Pass. We initially downloaded the wrong app, called customer service, who guided me to the right app, and we were on our way. We are already looking at other cities to make the pass part of every destination we can.

Don’t buy these tickets. Horrible service especially if you buy from Groupon. Check this out I purchased 2 ticket, by mistake I clicked on the child tickets simple error I thought I could pay the difference and get my adult tickets. Nope they just reply sorry we can’t help all sales are final. How‘s that for good service.

Bought yesterday at 1200 for 1 day, saw one building, The Edge, eventually went on bus tour and it finished at 5pm. Waste of money, do not purchase, daylight robbery. Last time, they were valid over 24 hrs in 2019. When calling them, the assistant wasn't helpfully at all. Love NYC as a city, but the people are ripping EVERYONE off IMHO.

I did a lot of research for our trip to NYC and this pass came out on top. A few vendors even said this was the best pass. I purchased the 3 day pass for our family of 4 and definitely got my money's worth. You have to do your research on the attractions though! Don't assume they are open every day. New York Pass clearly states on the attraction to go to official site for hours of operation. We were able to do the following in 3 days...and had time to do more but decided to skip a couple of attractions: Empire State Building, Escape Virtuality, The Ride, Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Tribute Museum, One World Observatory, Central Park Bike Tour, Top of the Rock...with the individual price for these tickets, we definitely got a good deal. The only thing is that you aren't guaranteed admission as it is 1st come 1st serve for many and you can't make reservations with exception of Empire State Building. We lucked out...had to wait 2 hours for One World Observatory, but we had to eat lunch so it worked out. Highly recommend NY Pass!

Bought the 2 day pass with some friends, 2 of the friends started using their pass the day before and one of the attractions they visited doubled scanned my friends pass and my pass by mistake. I was only able to use my pass 1 of the 2 days and had to pay out of my own pocket for one of the tours we made a reservation for (+$100). Called their customer service to see if they could do anything. They offered a partial refund of $150 for the inconvenience and said it would take 7-10 business days to process. It’s been over a month with no refund. *UPDATE* Still have not gotten the refund, contacted their customer service, they said they would call back and never did

See my other related review for the Rockefeller centre attraction. Called to see why 2 of the passes were invalid. They said they were expired and I had to purchase 2 additional passes. The whole transaction went from non-sensical to completely stupid. Absolutely the most useless customer service.

NewYork Pass... Best way to do a Lot We had 3 days, and we were able to take 2 boats, day and night ones. We visited the 9/11 tower, 2 museums, the rock, and we took the Big Bus tours, uptown and downtown the one that took us to the memorial. it was quiet an experience, and we avoided lines and saved a lot of time. We ll definitely visit NewYork again, and for sure we ll take the Pass

Having this pass made it easy to decide what to do around town... you just pick and choose what you want to do. The app is easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone

We had a fantastic week and used the NY Pass as much as we could! We saved a lot of money, and used the pass on our last full day to cycle round Central Park and enjoyed this lovely view. Thoroughly recommend getting a NY Pass, it was well worth the money!

Horrible experience. 2 friends and I purchased 2 day passes. Somehow one of my friends pass got scanned and "activated" a month before we even arrived in NY, by someone else. New York pass obviously issued the same pass number twice, I've seen other reviews saying this also happened to them. Trying to explain to customer service was a nightmare. So 2 of us have passes but one doesn't. With a pass most things don't require reservations. But without, you have to get tickets beforehand, which we didn't do, thinking we ALL had passes we paid for!!! So we lost half a day out of the 2 days we were here trying to figure this out. Customer service offered a 1 day pass and that is all they could do about it. RIDICULOUS we pay for something and don't get what we pay for. Customer service didn't care. 1 day pass or nothing. Go with a different city pass!!!!! This one I will never support again.

Good value for money, but misleading advertising on some of the attractions. For instance, entrance to the Edge is faster with a regular ticket, passholders are asked to wait in a different, longer queue (takes up to 45 minutes). The process with signing up to tours and having to pay extra in case of no-show is unfortunate, as well.

Do not buy. We purchased a 3 day pass and did our first experience at 8pm. Our pass then expired at lunch time on the third day (8 hours before it should’ve expired) - meaning we couldn’t do our last experience.

If you’re visiting New York this is a must, we used the 3 day pass and it was brilliant, such good value for money everything we wanted to do included. Simple and easy admission to everything we wanted to do (we didn’t book anything in advance but I’d imagine at peak times booking would be best). We didn’t queue or have any problems at all… thank you New York pass for making our experiences so easy and stress free … will be recommending this to everyone who is planning to visit NY

Best pass for New York! No issue whatsoever and whole process is smooth. It left us great memory for New York.

  • 1/5 Jose E. 1 year ago on Google
Don't do it!!! They purposely make every reservation complicated so you don't use all available attractions and places are often times overbooked. Worst 750 dollars ever spent. Feel like I was robbed!!!

  • 1/5 E.E. B. 11 months ago on Google
This pass is nice, when it actually works. If you would need customer service, they are not to be reached.. so here comes my warning! From home we booked a lot of attractions. One (the harbor lights cruise) you had to book in person. We did this the first day we came in and booked for day 6 of our holiday (day 5 of our pass) cause we wanted to be sure of a seat. The next day we were planning on starting the actual use of our NY Pass. Unfortunately they didn’t tell us, that in contrast to all the other bookings you make, this one would start your passes daycount. So on day five of the pass (and day 6 of the holiday), suddenly our pass was expired.. we had to pay for all the attractions we should have been able to visit with the pass. It definitely ruined the mood. It doesn’t help to start a chat, they don’t respond to forms. From home there was a problem booking for one of the attractions, they didn’t respond to that either. Luckily the attraction itself did respond and helped us out. So would I recommend this pass? No.. If you do decide to get the pass; When it says first come first served (and you go in April) we didn’t have to worry about lines or full tours, we were everywhere too early or they made space. Also when you reserve a time slot, they don’t really look at your time. You shouldn’t be extremely late or early, but sometimes we rushed to be on time when absolutely not necessary. Be aware that with the pass some things you have to wait in line for on the same day to get just a time slot. We found this pretty inconvenient.. and they don’t guarantee anything. So a lot looks nice, but you can’t count on actually getting in. This said. Next time I would have paid for the activities and not bought the NY Pass. It would have given us more freedom to explore. Less frustration about the pass not working. And costs us less money cause now we paid extra for all the activities we did on the day the pass wasn’t working. And some we didn’t do anymore cause we thought it was just a waste of the money since it should have been for free.. Be warned..!

Pass was virtually unusable. Many things listed weren't even open or being offered but we're still advertised. Definitely did not get my money's worth, would have spent less just paying for what I went to. No express lanes. Poor value.

This definitely helps when it comes to sightseeing in New York! I bought it when I did the empire state building and it was worth it because it have 6 different sights to choose from and didn't have to pay extra when it came to seeing the other attractions. Only thing I paid extra was going to the top 102 floor in the empire state building and it was worth it 👌

I purchased a multiday pass with the intent of using the big red bus as transportation. BE ADVISED THE BUS IN NOT INCLUDED PAST DAY 1. When I asked for a refund for the 2nd day I was denied it. No where on the site does it state the bus is only good for 1 day. TERRIBLE customer service.
