👍👍 My wife and I were married here on a beautiful, blue sky day in May. With the Shakespeare Garden below and the Belvedere Castle above it was magical! My wife hid in the castle until the time. She came down the stairs and presented on the landing...beautiful! Our parents and older guests sat on... People often mention bench,

My wife and I were married here on a beautiful, blue sky day in May. With the Shakespeare Garden below and the Belvedere Castle above it was magical! My wife hid in the castle until the time. She came down the stairs and presented on the landing...beautiful! Our parents and older guests sat on the Stover Bench while we pledged our love on the edge of the skirt of raised stones. The 40 or so other family members and guests stood around the plaza. After the ceremony a bagpiper appeared and piped us across the park to the sidewalk on 5th Ave below the Met. As you might guess, anybody who heard the pipes and saw the procession joined us....thanks Manhattan, you always make magic!

This place is a great pit stop when visiting Centeral Park! 🏞️ The Charles B. Stover Bench is a cool hidden spot in the middle of the park with a wonderful view of the park. 🌳 This is a great place to sit down, have lunch, relax, and unwind. Try coming in on a sunny ☀️ day. I wish more people knew about this place and visited!

An amazing "whispering bench" that enable you to whisper something at one end and hear at the other.

It's just a bench, but it's surrounded by fences and trees, so visibility is poor.

Not only does this bench mark a historical man, it is also where my fiancé proposed to me on October 6, 2018. With beautiful scenery, a remarkle crafted bench overlooks some of Central Park. I recommed taking the path to see this area

Amazing whispering bench. Really works. Was hard to find, but amazing when we found it because it was secluded and we could actually hear each other.

Secluded and away from tourist. A bit dark and damp. Little sun light.

Nice place for a wedding, except for the helicopters, trucks, ambulances, and the incredibly chatty birds. But hey, it's the soundtrack of New York.

Nice bench with a great view. When it’s not crowded, people go there to take aesthetic photos and relax.
