I live a few blocks from the store and this was my “to go” place for Japanese dessert. Sadly, I will not be coming to this store nor referring my friends/neighbors to this place EVER again! We visited the store today was going to purchase a few things for my family. The short hair Japanese woman was disgustingly nasty. This is a sweet store and we were expecting sweet, helpful staff! We asked if they have other flavors for the dorayaki besides the traditional red beans (we had other flavors when we visited Japan). She looked at us with her mouth opened and acted like we had two heads. Then proceeded to whisper her co-worker’s ear about us while we were still in the store. This behavior is unacceptable!

If you’re looking for Japanese treats then this place is a great place to go. It has wonderful Japanese dessert. They’re great to enjoy for yourself but also has great gift ideas. They have seasonal treats so they have something new to taste and experience! It’s conveniently located in the Oculus-WTC. It’s located three levels below Eataly. Subways and PATH trains are super close by!

Beautiful displays and delicious treats, worthy of a special gift. Some items were out of stock, but there were plenty of replacement options to choose from. The two ladies in the store were professional, polite and efficient at their jobs. Will be back!

First, really friendly staff! The woman helped explain some of the best treats and the doriyaki was incredible! So soft and delicate. Definitely worth the price. Also, they sell special Japanese string good luck charms which are beautifully hand made. I look forward to coming back again! The desserts were just the perfect size for a little treat, yet were still very memorable!

It’s a walk in store …I was too excited for the matcha but it seems I didn’t like it much …had way better matchas before …I would give it a one time try as I don’t know much options here.

Visited a few times, beautiful presentation and makes for wonderful gifts for those who are really into Japanese-traditional style treats. The staff was very friendly in helping my giftees figure out what they would like.

The best part about their products is that they offer seasonal goodies for different occasions. The sweetness of wagashi is subtle and very tasty, though it's quite pricey.

Pricey and small quantities, was going to bring some mochis and jellys back home for friends to try authentic Japanese treats, but almost got us trouble through TSA in JFK when they have to unwrap individual ones of them and think they contain illegal goods and all being opened and threw away. Should have asked and let customers know the carrying policy for travelers, can be more considering.
