Very packed on weekends with kids running around everywhere with no parental guidance. The tennis/handball walls are nice but you will have a basketball constantly ruin your clear path. People still bring pets inside the park, even though it clearly states no pets allowed.

Packed on a nice day, with several play structures with separate areas for small and big kids, a sand pit, swings (babies and kids sizes), water elephants for hot summer days, lots of benches and picnic tables and all fenced in. Some shade thanks to trees. Older equipment which would benefit from progressive refurbishment. Very limited and difficult Street parking. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance

Used to go here a lot as a kid, and still will go occasionally with friends. Have a lot of good memories here, and think it is a really good park.

My kids are 3 and 6 and they love this playground. We have been coming to play for the past 3 years and we still have a good time. It gets very busy.

A tiny corner of the big apple that many seem to miss. I'm not saying it's as great Central Park but not everything has to be Central Park for you to like it. This Park is nice and can be quiet at the right hours. Go here if you want to relax a little. The color green is known to be very soothing and this place will have plenty of it for you!

Decent place for half court basketball. Courts on one side are all low (for kids) so full court is not really fair. Only a couple hoops have nets and the water fountains all don’t work currently.

Pretty good other than the homeless using it as their personal bathing and sleeping area.

Love this little park. I go there early in the morning to shoot some hoops on the outdoor court that now actually has "glass" backboard and a net. It is great and really rare to find in NYC parks. Can get really crowded on weekends though.

Was surprised to see a park like this in the Bronx. Peaceful time with my boys. Lots of renovation at the moment. I see the outcome & it's beautiful

Nice playground, a little worn but not overly crowded the times I visited. A lot of fun for my 1.5 yo

Easy access for group and solitary enjoyment. Mostly senior and energetic children in this sun dappled friendly and respectful park.

This park became my refugee while in the city visiting a family member who was admitted to one of the nearby hospitals. I wasn't in town to sightsee, and my hotel grew boring, so between visiting hours I spent a lot of time just sitting in the park. Lucky for me the weather was good or I'm not sure what I would have done. It was nice seeing the local families utilizing it too. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, talk or just find moment of peace I would strongly recommend it.

Great family park with many local eateries along 1st avenue. Come here with your family or a date. Major bonus that it's also a very clean park.

Love this little park in our neighborhood. Can get crowded around the time school let's out. Too many stoner high school kids around though.

This is a kid and adult friendly park, with trees and benches to relax and have lunch while watching children and their care givers playing on the swings, slides and monkey bars. I like to sit and read a book here, while a public library is just a block away.
