Small square in a not-so-busy neighborhood of New York City. Didn’t know much about Juan Pablo Duarte, a founding father of the Dominican Republic, until I chanced upon this place.

Nice comfortable outside area is always inviting and people are.very friendly...But need more plants, hard to find a comfortable free outside seating area. . The nice to see our patriotic Juan Pablo Duarte stand up straight in NYC…

Trash cans are desperately needed so people don't use the statue or the planters as dumpsters. The trees that are still saplings and in big pots are especially abused. It doesn't make any sense given this location why there aren't trash cans. I have seen the CitiBike employees cleaning up, which is awesome of them, but really shouldn't be their responsibility as this is an easily remedied city issue.

Dominican Republic's gift to new York City, a large statue of one of the founding fathers in an open triangular brick-lined park with a few benches and Citibike docking stations. Located on a prominent corner of Canal and 6th "Avenue of the Americas".

A clean relaxing get away from my job: Screeching cars. Honking horns. Pushy pigeons. Traffic for the tunnel is relentless.I sit down with my dollar slice from Canal and soak it all in.

With all respect to Juan Pablo, but he hangs in a rough square.
