I haven't been back here in a few years and have heard from friends that their quality was not as good as before. But I still wanted to try it again for myself and I have to disagree. It is still one of the best pepperoni pizza around! The dough itself was not exactly like before but the pepperoni cups were still on point. Which is why I still like it here. The type of pepperoni they use and the way they crisp just the top still makes this one of my favorite spots. Just in case you're thinking we like the pizza because we were hungry - We had dinner at 9pm and got Prince St Pizza at 1130pm (had a line but not a long line) and ate this as midnight snack. We still loved it.

This store is an institution in SoHo. Extremely tasty and reasonably priced pizza. The classic is the pepperoni pizza, but I also really enjoyed the margherita. There is hardly any room to eat on site. Fortunately, there are a few small parks nearby where you can sit down. The easiest way to pay is by credit card.

Given its reputation, I felt compelled to try this pizzeria despite its unconventional take on pizza. Opting for the spicy pepperoni, as recommended by the friendly staff at the counter, I found the dish surprisingly enjoyable. The pepperoni was delectably seasoned, and the homemade sauce had a delightful kick to it, enhancing the overall flavor profile. While the dough didn’t quite meet my expectations, the unique taste and quality toppings largely made up for it. My experience here was positive, and I appreciate the creativity in their pizza preparation. I’m happy to rate it four stars – it’s worth a visit for those seeking a twist on the traditional pizza.

Highly rated pizza place in NYC! Can’t go wrong with any of the flavors. I personally like their vodka sauce, but you can’t and don’t want to miss their square pepperoni. It’s crunchy, fresh, and meaty - all combined to have an atomic explosion in your mouth. This pizza isn’t like any other pizza you have had before, it’s a bit thick but not too overwhelming and challenging to bite into. The bread is just magical and all the topping is just the cherry on top!

Iconic pizza shop that ended up being better than I expected (better than johns of bleecker, joes, etc. by far). I got the “prince pizza” slice. It was built similar to deep dish (breading, cheese, then sauce on top) but was tastier than any I’ve had in Chicago. More than the dough, their unique sauce and cheese combo make the slice what it is.

We were craving some pizzas and stumbled upon this place. We ordered a veggie and pepperoni slice. They were both so delicious! Absolutely loved the thick cut pepperoni. There is no indoor sitting and can’t stand there either but we didn’t mind. Will definitely be coming back!

Great slice of pizza! We arrived around 2pm and waited in line for about 30 minutes. It was worth it. I got a veggie slice but there are a couple other options. Really great staff running this place. It was fun to chat with the fellas that were handling the rush.

If you're a fan of a little kick in your pizza, look no further than Prince street pizza in NYC. Their spicy pepperoni pizza is an absolute standout. From the moment you take your first bite, you're hit with a burst of flavor that's both savory and spicy. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside yet wonderfully soft on the inside, providing the ideal base for the star of the show: the pepperoni. Each slice is generously adorned with zesty pepperoni slices that pack just the right amount of heat. The cheese is gooey and delicious, providing a creamy contrast to the spiciness of the pepperoni. What sets this place apart is their attention to detail. The sauce is tangy and flavorful, complementing the boldness of the pepperoni without overpowering it. And let's not forget about the perfect balance of herbs and spices sprinkled on top, adding an extra layer of depth to every bite. Whether you're grabbing a quick slice on the go or sitting down for a full pie with friends. With its irresistible combination of spicy pepperoni, flavorful sauce, and expertly crafted crust, it's no wonder this place has earned its spot as a favorite among NYC pizza lovers.

Best pizza in NYC I’ve had (so far). That Spicy Spring is something else, man! Grabbed 3 square slices for $20. Really good food they serve at this joint. Generous serving of pepperoni and that spice just kicks in right from the first bite. Definitely coming back to get some more Prince St. Pizza when I’m back in the city.

I came back 3x in the span of 3 days and have officially gained 5 lbs! I love this place and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Detroit style pizza. Definitely in my top 5 pizza shops

Good spot for a square slice. I got the vodka slice and the regular cheese one too. The vodka one had good flavor and was airy. The regular cheese one wasn’t that great and I wouldn’t get it again. Also tried the regular cheese and it was pretty good - on par with Joe’s but not better. This place is small and has picture frames up all over. Cool vibe

Really enjoyed the square pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni were nicely crisp (which I LOVE), sauce was tasty, crust was sweet, soft and edible, and actually ate it! The base is a tad more thicker than I’d like and is a little greasy overall, but I would actually come again. There was a line out the door (could be because it was lunchtime), but it went quickly. Right now it’s more of a to-go order and street “dining” in their built standing counters related to the COVID pandemic.

The pizza from the original store with all the photos on the wall still a 5 stars pizza. We had the meat lover, spicy vodka sauce and the pepperoni square pizza. They are all very tasty, delicious and oily. However, if you want to order a whole pie. They will send you to the next door. Which they have expend for faster services. But the pie is just an average 3 stars. The pepperoni square pizza was a little under cooked. And it was breaking apart. I am sure if I reheated at home with oven, it would be fine. Bottom line, go place the order with the original store front and get the slices there. Old oven is way better than the new addition.

Absolutely delicious pizza. The crust is crispy on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside. The sauce is really tasty with the perfect amount of cheese. The pepperoni itself was so perfect with plenty on each slice

Prince Street Pizza is my go-to for an excellent slice. The spicy pepperoni squares are my favorite. There’s something about the secret sauce and seasonings that makes it unique. I haven’t found a pizza this good anywhere else. I figured out how to time my visit so I don’t have to wait in a long line. It’s worth the hype!

Pizza here was really good! We knew we were in the right place because of the line going down the block, but they’re very fast and efficient so it took no time for us to reach the head of the line and get our pizza. The only real fault is the price of the pizza. I paid $5 for a single square of margarita pizza and while I understand the quality of the pizza and the celebrity factor of the store, I don’t think I can justify spending that much on pizza in NYC on a regular basis.

Doing the NYC pizza tour, so had to stop in to this iconic shop. Was nice to be able to get slices instead of an entire pie. Known for the pepperoni, so I got the square slice and a traditional slice. The traditional slice was awesome, great crisp and the pepperoni was as advertised. The sauce is a bit sweeter than I usually get. The square looked amazing, had great char on sides and loaded with pepperoni, but they didn’t warm it up and it tasted like it had sat around a while. Was more doughy than crunchy. Was still an overall good slice, but didn’t have the crisp and crunch on the crust that I had expected. Was busy and there’s a lot going on there, but still highly recommend. Forget chains, and get out and support your local businesses!

I had very expectations, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. Prince Street is known for one slice: their square pepperoni. There was queue at the entrance, but within 20 minutes, my hot slice was ready. This slice is just delicious. Crispy at the bottom, and the stars of the show are the thick slices of pepperonis: crispy towards the edges, chewy on the inside, with small pools on oil in the middle. The tomato sauce isn’t too sweet and works great with the pepperoni. Worth the queue and worth the hype: definitely one of the best slices in the city.

With an 8.6 rating from Dave Portnoy, Prince Street's famous spicy pep has to be on everyone NYC tour trip! The pizza offers great taste. Like many hyped places in the city, there's always a line no matter the time.

RIGHTEOUS pizza. This must be crafted from a recipe delivered to us by an extraterrestrial, because this pizza is out of this world. Avoid the Sicilian style rectangular cuts - those are nothing compared to the NY style. Service could be improved, because I got a cold slice when I clearly asked for the opposite. But damn, the one hot slice I did get overrides anything negative - including the person rummaging through the trash right outside.

I didn't want to believe the hype but this is a solid pizza spot. I am not even into thick slices but the pepperoni cook/spice level was perfect. I also got the 4 cheese square. So good but damn it's a lot, possibly too much cheese. Only thing that is a little steep is the price and line can be long.

I’d watched YouTube reviews and TV shows of this place and it was on top of my list of places to eat at in New York. It definitely deserves all the hype it gets! I could’ve kept on eating their Spicy Pepperoni and Spicy Vodka slices and had to really stop myself. The meat lover’s pizza was a great pick too. A MUST VISIT!

There was a ton of hype surrounding this place as evidenced by the long line when we got there. Gotta say, it lived up to the reputation. It's damn good pizza. Fluffy throughout but crispy on the edges due to their square slice. We got the spicy pepperoni and the four cheese and were very happy. Only thing we wish we had done was gone for some parm or salt to send it over the top, but I'll happily be back here again.

This will be one of the best pizzas you’ll ever have. And I’ve been to 25+ pizza places in NYC. I’m talking about the square slide they’re known for. There’s just something about how they make the bread. It is crispy and fluffy and chewy at the same time. Definitely worth the hype.

It's legendary for a reason. While a little left of centre when it comes to traditional New York-style pizza, don't overlook Prince Street. The deep dish crust is soft, and the pepperoni is charred to perfection. The spicy kick is also a really nice touch. You won't feel short-changed on the amount of pepperoni per slice, as you can see in the photos - this place is legit. The buttery crust is awesome and makes it more filling than just any slice of pizza. Fair prices, quick service - it's great 'end of night' fuel.

Pepperoni square crust was crunchy and perfectly delicious but I missed the chewy cheese of a thin slice and the pepperoni was so so greasy. Thin vodka slice was delicious in flavor but I like the crust a little crunchier/chewier like some places do it. Overall completely acceptable pizza just not my personal fave.

Don’t even think about ordering any slice other than the pepperoni square here! It’s a hefty slice, covered with mini pepperoni cups and spicy marinara sauce. One slice is good enough for me but you might as well get more if you’ve been waiting for a while. There’s almost always a line out the door, but you usually don’t have to wait too long. Be sure to grab a handful of napkins on your way out because you’ll definitely need!

Instant classic. Best late night food. Get the pepperoni square slices and ask for extra crispy. You will not be disappointed. Although their sister restaurant Village Square Pizza is still better in my book, they are hard to beat as the late night spot. Don't get scared away by the lines, it moves quick!

Well worth the wait! The spicy vodka square was amazing. The Soho square was good as well.

Recommended by a friend. On a trip to NY, I stopped by. I got a slice of margarita pizza and veggie pizza. Both were tasty; I prefer the margarita though. Service was fast. Price was reasonable. Would recommend.

The Spicy Spring slice is absolutely incredible. The edges are crispy, there is a good bit of sauce, and there is a ton of pepperoni. This is definitely one of the best slices in the area if you don’t mind the surly woman behind the cash register—don’t expect to make a friend!

While they sell both round and square pizza by the slice (I tried both), I recommend the square pepperoni. Both are good, but the square pepperoni is just so unique and flavorful. Super deep, rich porky flavor, the pepperoni and thick and crispy. If you're in the area try it out!

This place is amazing serving up some crazy slices downtown in the city! Prince Street has square slices only, and be warned. There’s always a line out the door, no matter what time of day that you go! I personally like the vodka, the pepperoni, and this one featured here which had both

  • 5/5 Claire M. 3 months ago on Google New
11/10 pizza. The pepperoni deep dish is perfection. Idk what was in those pepperonis but they were by far the best pepperonis I’ve ever had. The line to order then wait for your food was super long which was annoying as I was hungry but reflective of the quality and well worth waiting for! If you are looking for quality pizza definitely give Prince Street a try!

  • 5/5 Alan K. 4 months ago on Google
Every bit as good as the videos look. There are 2 entrances, one for whole pizzas/pies and delivery drivers to collect and the other for slices. The queue when we visited was for slices. We got 2 pepperoni slices and enjoyed them standing outside. The queue moves quite quickly and the staff are efficient with little pleasantries. There was a spicy vodka pizza, which nearly got a look in but not this visit.... 🍕

I had to check out Prince Street Pizza in New York City, and I can confidently say that it's the best pizza I have ever had in my life. First of all, the ambiance is classic New York pizzeria. The crust was the perfect combination of crispy and chewy, and the nice charred flavor that only a true brick oven can achieve. The tomato sauce was rich and tangy, and the cheese was perfectly melted and gooey. But what sets Prince Street Pizza apart is their pepperoni - it's spicy, crispy, and absolutely addictive. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left me craving more. Whether you're a local New Yorker or just visiting the city, you owe it to yourself to try Prince Street Pizza. It's a pizza experience like no other, and I can't recommend it highly enough. This place has set the bar incredibly high for any future pizza I may have.

When me and my friends were in NY, we went on a pizza tour trying all the popular pizza spots to find out what really was the best. Prince pizza is pretty up there, we like the cupped pepperoni cups here and the pizza sauce they use. If your prefer thicker pizza over thin, this is your spot! Overall I liked it, very good pizza! Probably top 2 pizzas on this NY trip.

  • 5/5 Alani R. 2 years ago on Google
We ordered prince street pizza during a trip to the city today and got a peperoni pizza and a vodka pizza. Both were good but the vodka pizza was much spicier than I expected it to be! I found it to be more spicy than the peperoni pizza loaded with spicy peperoni! I would recommend this to anyone who prefers Sicilian style pizzas and really likes peperoni! The vodka pizza is worth a try as well, and I think I personally preferred it to the peperoni.

The hyped up pizza place that lives up to the hype! Delicios pizza, especially the pepperoni slice. You can see both locals and tourists lining up outside and the wait time can be north of 40 minutes, but definitely worth it. If you are lucky and the line does not reach the end of the block, hop on it and order 2 slices, so you won't have to go back on line after you finish the first one and crave a second (like I did). This is one of the two best pizzas I have had in NY. Two thumbs up.

Checked out Prince street pizza after a drink and was glad that the queue wasn't that long (it was around 8:30pm). As a first timer to NYC, I've heard good reviews about this pizzarie. Ordered the queue pepperoni pizza and a margarita, both tasted pretty good, although I didn't get the crusty sound on my first bite. The dough was light and easy on stomach, and I regretted not ordering more for myself!

Love those little curly pepperonis! The pizza is the perfect mix of crispy bottom and doughy center. So fun to also check out all the celebs on the walls.
