Nice employees, I got my ball python from them, she’s still growing nice and healthy, I get live rats from them, on Christmas they even gave me a free one because I’m a loyal customer 🤩❤️. They have bunny’s, fish, rats/mice, would definitely go just to walk around. I was pretty upset there were so many snakes without a hut in their tiny enclosures. They all looked so fidgety and anxious to get out and had no place to feel safe

My wife and I bought 100 gallon fish tank spend a lot of money want to nothing but the best coming to find out after it was set up we were very misled ! We were using normal water from our faucet as we were told and guided coming to find out that there’s a machine and a process to filter the water properly and then mix salt with it we were doing as we were told in our tank was nothing but very cloudy . after about a month and a half I’m going back-and-forth to the store once a week our fish tank was nothing but alge green we were asking for help and they were just saying oh it’s OK it’s OK finding out that my tank was destroyed we went to another place had the proper guidance from the staff there and now our tank is clearer than its every been!! Thank you to reefco !!

Do not go here!! Some of the rabbits had no food and their enclosure was littered with feces. On top of this, There was a rabbit in the back in a reptile tank with an eye that was gushing fluid. It also reeks in here.

Just off the bat…5 stars! Came in with both of my daughters today a 6year old and 10 month old and they were impressed just as I was. The place is huge and split level! There’s a pond section indoor and outdoor, a salt water section, freshwater section, supply section and reptile section. All the display tanks were amazing and clean! My favorite is the planted tank that probably a 125 or somewhere around there. All the fish look healthy and all the tanks looked clean. Attentive staff and all asked me if I needed help or wanted questions answered. We spent a good 45 mins or more checking everything out! I have couple tanks at home but in the process of setting up a 125 planted freshwater tank and will come by to get fish and other supply. Pretty cool store and plenty of parking! Love the old house look! Thanks ocean gallery for a good trip for my kids and I to get out of the heat today! 5 stars

Wanted to set up a planted Betta tank, and had no clue what I was doing. Staff was so helpful and nice, answered all my questions and walked me through what I needed and prices were very reasonable. All their tanks had healthy, happy fish and plants. Highly recommend!

My experience here was amazing, I asked a question and got a quick response and they even said "don't be afraid to ask questions, we will gladly answer and remember that by asking questions your helping your self to!" I learned a lot for them, I came in to buy a fish and a tank but as I was checking out Clark told me it wasn't going to be safe if I put the fish in at the same time I buy the tank because of the temperature of the tank so I came back and bought my fish separately after waiting a day for the tank to become room temperature. I put my fishes in and they lived for a long time and to this day they are still alive . I also wanted to buy a shark and put it in a medium sized tank but the guy let me know the shark is 1000 dollars for a reason and that reason was because sharks grow up to 4 feet and can brake threw a medium sized tank and that if we wanted to buy a sharks it had to be an extra extra large tank

Super helpful, super friendly, and the staff genuinely cares about your success! I'll happily take the hour and half drive!

Got some beautiful fire stone from here for my paludarium. I will be purchasing more stone from them in the future as they have a bunch of other types, such as dragon stone. Even sooner, I’ll be coming here for my aquatic plants. They have a wide assortment and you can tell they take care of their plants. They all looked lush and vibrant. The gentlemen working there were very helpful too!

I love all the tiny little critters there and every since I've been buying products from here I have healthy tokays, leopard geckos, beardies, tarantulas, frogs, and fish thank you so much

I love this place! I recently bought a leopard gecko and she is very healthy, and currently in love with our male gecko. I also love that this place carry’s many hornworms for a great price because it’s been hard to find them in the past. You can tell the owners and employees really care about the animals there.

This is a great place to go to for fresh water and salt water fish. They have very heathy fish and I got a Bolivian ram, endlers, and Otto’s. I would recommend going here for getting your fish. They also at some times of the year have pond fish.

Made owner aware of DEAD bearded dragon and gave back nasty attitude. No signs of breathing and looks severely dehydrated. Will be reporting this store. They do not care about their animals, just another petco that dispose of animals life like it’s nothing

I’ve been shopping here since the late 90’s! I bought my first reptiles from here. Also my first saltwater aquarium which I had for many years before deciding to break it all down. I shop here now with my kids. This place has always had a great selection of fish, reptiles, and invertebrates! Everyone on staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help.

Been here probably 5-6 times. From the start the staff here has been friendly and well informative. Prices are really good I thought buying fishes would be more expensive. What I am really happy about is that they were able to explain a lot of my questions very well so they know what they are talking about. I will keep growing my fish tank and this will continue to be my go to place!

A true gem. They have some beautiful fresh and salt water fish and coral. The biggest surprise was their large assortment of reptiles. Ball pythons, geckos, and much more. I used to visit quite often with my father for our salt water tank needs over 15 years ago and I'm overjoyed to see they're still doing such a great job since I moved back.

Best place to go for reptiles and amphibians... Love smoking a nice preroll in the car and then going inside to walk around and look at the fish in their tanks and then their reptile room... Adopted a guinea pig from here a while back. My fiance had been begging me for one. So finally we were in there one day and they had one, turns out it was left there by someone whose kids didn't want it any more ... I know the people in their pretty well and so when they heard my fiance giggle begging me to get it they said if I gave em 20$ I could take the whole thing cage in all. Needless to say we went home with a wonderful new friend and got a very good deal. This place is a family owned business and they are very personable if your a regular they know your name and take good care of you.

My son was interested in purchasing a gecko, but wasn't sure which type to get. We tried going to the big box pet stores, but they won't let you handle the lizards unless you buy them first and they weren't able to answer his questions. I drive past Ocean Gallery every day for work, so I thought we'd give them a try. They are friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They let my son handle a leopard gecko, which helped him make his decision. The difference a small business owner can make is significant. My son couldn't get the experience he had with Ocean Gallery at any of the chain stores, and without that experience, may have made the wrong decision. The animals are healthy and well cared for - I highly recommend them. And yes, he bought the leopard gecko : )

Update: If it was your busiet day of the week, I was your only customer. There were 2 employees sitting at the front entrance without a thing to do. Sorry but it was either very poor customer service or discrimination. As a business owner myself, this should never happen. I don't like giving bad reviews however their customer service is lacking. I walked in to purchase another pet for our home and I was left up there looking at animals and no one came to ask if I needed any help or if I had any questions pertaining to the animals, so I left.

I’m pretty much a beginner when it comes to aquariums . But I’ve always loved fancy tail goldfish. They aren’t the easiest to take care of but they are extremely enjoyable to have around. Well the people at Ocean Gallery are friendly, knowledgeable and truly caring . So anyone who is thinking or already have fish, any fish, need to check out their store in North Plainfield on route22. You will be glad you did. I am.

Great place! Reminds me of the pet shops from years ago before Petco/Petsmart. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I picked up a Ball Python from here. It's doing very well and thriving. Aquarium section looked good as well. I highly recommend them.

Awesome store with a large variety of fish. Went there to get my kid some piranha and it was a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful without pushing you to buy more than you need. They are also incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to discuss potential issues and care for the fish. We will definitely be back.

Great local shop. Staff is very knowledgeable and always a great resource for information. The guys here provided me with guidance on setting up and maintaining my 90 gallon tank. Even came out to the house for delivery and set up.. Three years later so far so good.

The variety of fish was great and the tanks themselves were all well maintained. The majority of the employees were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. They also offer a variety of cleaners, foods and general equipment for your new pets. One employee even gave me a huge discount on multiple occasions. In addition, all of the fish that I have purchased have done extremely well in their new homes. I can't recommend this place more if your looking for high quality exotic fish at a decent place for a smaller local retailer.

I love this place their corals are beautiful and they have nice African cichlids!
