Delicate gem has by far the best diamond selection and prices I have seen in the city and online, easily competing even with the "budget" online retailers like Ritani. But unlike those retailers, you get amazing customer service and expert advice. I had a pretty complicated list of wants (very specific proportions, different certificates and different colors for comparison, hearts on arrows mentioned on the certificate), and Harry perfectly delivered on all of them. He then spent a lot of time looking at and comparing each diamond with us in person. They also do amazing custom work for a very reasonable price (check pictures here or on Reddit).

I reached out to Harry through Etsy a few months after my fiancé had given me my engagement ring (also done by Delicate Gem) to see if he could create a custom wedding band to curve around my ring. He was very quick to respond to my request, and after chatting back and forth about what I wanted, I sent my ring off to him to get started. He had an online mockup of what the band would look like within a week, and once approved, he got the band itself done in a very timely manner as well. He sent me photos of my ring with the new band so that I could see what it looked like before he sent it back, and within two days after that my rings were shipped back to me. About 12 years ago, I bought an engagement ring from Delicate Gem based on a recommendation from my dad. A couple years later, my then fiancé and I took the trip into NYC to buy her wedding band. After going to the diamond district multiple times looking for a custom engagement ring I was unsatisfied with the responses from several jewelers. Repeatedly I was told it was "impossible" to do within my price range but then I found Delicate Gem. Harout assured me is was possible and showed me a selection of diamonds within my range the first time I came to visit. During this initial interaction he recommended switching to a different cut even though it was a lower price since he believed it would work better in the setting I wanted.
