Have been going to Maiden Lane for 7 years, and always have had a great experience. Front Desk Staff are very professional and friendly. Doctor Barr Rachel Is an excellent doctor who explains very well and good listener. she followed through with what needs to be done, and she is very professional. Highly recommended! It's very convenient to have the mammogram in the same office, and on the same day, I see the gynecologist. Roxanne the mammogram facility is very nice and welcoming as well. Roxanne assisted me and she is amazing and helped me feel comfortable.

Honestly terrible experience here. I'm not sure how they have such high reviews. The office doesn't have a direct line they only have a call center and despite calling to confirm the location of my appointment the call center told me to go to their midtown office when my appointment was in Soho. I rescheduled and wish I hadn't. When I went back I realized their office wasn't very clean and generally in disrepair. Particularly the examination rooms, I could clearly hear a doctor's discussion with another patient through the wall. The floor wasn't particularly clean, the light switch was falling apart, and the handles on cabinets were coming off. On top of this i had to wait for the doctor for over half an hour. it was so long the automatic lights went off several times. The doctor I saw seemed very unsure of herself and was also trying to insist I get a mammogram even though I'm under 30 and I let her know that I have seen a breast specialist and did not need to. I don't think my concerns were listened to and wouldn't recommend anyone go to this practice

The check in process was quick and easy since I filled in my paperwork online. It was odd carrying the bottle for a sample up to another level but small detail. The 2 FL was a bit older looking and mostly clean but felt very dated and basic. But I love my doctor, Dr. Villanueva and will follow her to any practice.

I have been seeing Dr Blanton for over 5 years at Maiden lane. Very clean spacem Im usually in and out quickly. The office staff is effecient. Dr Blanton herself, has a great bedside manner while being very professional. I would like to mention that she gets booked up quickly. If you have a specific issue not related to your annual, I would suggest making two separate appointments. If you wait until you are there, you may have to wait another month or two to be seen tge second time. The price you pay when you find a good in-demand obgyn.

The staff was extremely disrespectful! The customer service was absolutely ridiculous! I had a scheduled appointment at 9:30 am, and they instructed me not to eat for at least 8 hours beforehand. So, I arrived at the location promptly at 9:30 am, only to be made to wait for over an hour just to have my blood work done. To make matters worse, numerous people without appointments were getting their tests done before me, and nothing was being done about it. When I voiced my frustration, a lady informed me that there was nothing she could do because it was the doctor's fault. By this point, I had been fasting for over 12 hours, and I couldn't care less whose fault it was—I simply wanted to have my test done. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect exhibited by the staff was appalling. I strongly advise against going to this place!

They double billed and charged me for services I did not receive. It has been months of phone calls with their billing dept and my insurance company. Do not go here. Re: ML’s reply- yeah when did I defend an insurance company? The industry shouldn’t exist and I shouldn’t have to pay for preventative care from your practice, glad we agree! Nice that you’re still refusing to take responsibility for the mistaken charges in the first place though. And way to stick up to me and my google review, great look for a medical practice asking people to trust them with personal information!

I visited this location in May for an annual check-up. Dr. Theil walked in for two minutes. During the two minutes, she advised me to reschedule because my last check-up was in July and asked me if I was on birth control. I said yes, but I was on Depo. But I got it from CVS since I travel for work. I left and received an outrageous bill. I called and was extremely upset with how unprofessional they were with me. They passed me to the manager, who resubmitted the claim and is now trying to charge me $91 for a two-minute office visit. Mindful, it's been months, and I just received a call in November from Kristen regarding the matter. She was insulting and told me she had to pass this up to management. This is the second time they have been highly unprofessional. If Dr. Theil spent more than 20 min with me, then I wouldn't have an issue paying her for her time. However, that was not the case, and this bill is insulting to ask me to pay her for two minutes of her time.

I was a new patient. I found Dr Thiel to be a wonderful doctor. She is knowledgeable and gives patients the time needed to relax and discuss very personal matters. She is easy to talk to and listens attentively. Her demeanor is professional, yet she is VERY kind and compassionate. There was not a moment’s discomfort during my annual exam. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a truly great GYN.

It is impossible to schedule an appointment when you have a real emergency. I had serious bleeding and blood clots and could not get in to see my doctor who knew my history and performed surgery on my for the life of me. I was told she was busy and couldn’t see me for 3 weeks. She had no availability for me in the next few days and I was told to just go to the emergency room instead. What is the point of having a doctor if they don’t have time for you when you really need them. No one seemed to care at all about what I was going through and it was really frustrating. This company is a business. It is not about health. Check out their reviews and 1.5 stars on yelp!

I just moved to NYC and was looking for a new doctor and I'm SO grateful that I was referred to Dr. Blanton - she is the best OB/GYN doctor I've ever had. With every visit, she's made me feel very comfortable, described every step of the process in great detail, answered all my questions, and is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also very kind. She truly cares about her patients and their long-term health. Can't recommend the Maiden Lane Medical team and Dr. Blanton enough to anyone looking for a doctor in NYC.

I had two appointments in a month on Oct 2023 and they charged me in advanced. My insurance covered 100% and since SIX MONTHS I’ve been trying to get the refund without success!! STAY AWAY of this office!!

Both staff, med techs and Dr Kaufman were all very professional and friendly. My appointment was conducted as scheduled and I was in & out in a timely manner! I appreciate when professional offices consider my time as valuable as their own!

Great care from Dr. Kaufman! The other staff were also courteous and helpful. The check-in process is easy because you can do it beforehand on your phone.

WORST experience ever. I never write reviews, good or bad, but there were so many things that went wrong with this office that I had to write this (this review applies to Maiden Lane Medical in general, not just this location). I went for an annual exam, and then was scheduled for two different ultrasound appointments. 1. Nurse couldn't draw my blood. During my annual exam at the Bay Ridge location, the nurse could not draw my blood. She tried both arm and couldn't find the vein after which she just said 'sorry, come back next time'. I have regular 'easy' veins, no one ever had issues before. I had to go to another location for the blood test. 2. Just because the doctor found something during my breast exam, they considered this an annual AND regular office visit and charged extra. Although this was a regular annual exam (which always includes breast exam), the office charged me and my insurance as an annual exam visit AND as a regular visit (charging me a co-pay). After multiple phone conversations with the office and with billing (including one rude person from billing) I learned that because the doctor found something during the breast exam (I had a slight complaint so told the doctor about this), and sent me to ultrasound (literally, nothing else was done or discussed) this is now considered a regular doctor visit because an issue was addresses, and so this needs to be charged as such ON TOP of the annual exam visit. I was shocked! I never saw this happen elsewhere. But apparently, this is their policy so not much I could do... 3. I was charged for pap smear. Again, I never had to worry about additional bills during a regular annual exam. They say my insurance did not cover it but I never had problems with the insurance, and insurance tells me the office did not charge them as part of annual exam but a regular lab test, this is why it was not covered by insurance. I called back and tried to explain - no luck as the office said they charged as part of annual (the fact is that I never had to pay for pap smear so I'm going to believe my insurance). 4. Super unprofessional with ultrasound scheduling. This was the midtown location. I scheduled the breast ultrasound and had to wait for a month for my appointment (obviously, waiting for it very anxiously). I called them every other day to see if anything opened sooner but there was nothing. Finally, the day comes so I can do this and stop worrying... A couple of hours prior to my appointment they cancel it. When I call to see why it was canceled, they said that the technician did not come to work. That's it! She just didn't come and no one tried to do something about this or at least reschedule my appointment. I would have to wait for another 2 weeks to get scheduled. I never went - scheduled it with another provider. 5. It's their office policy to have a credit card on file for each patient. They say it's for no-show fees, but what they do is just charge your card for co-pays without sending you any bills or any notice, or even a receipt after they charged you. This is the first time I'm asked to leave a card on file at a medical office. Obviously, I am never going back. I am surprised this office has such good reviews. The reviews are the reason I went there. Well, this is also my first bad review... Stay healthy!

I needed to get a last minute appointment with Maiden Lane medical. I had been before, but the woman I called for an appointment was patient and ran through their availability at multiple locations. The provider I saw (same day) was extremely thorough, listened to my concerns, was kind, and provided great education. All anxieties I had around this appointment were completely put to ease by the time I left. Really recommend the office, but more specifically NP Rebecca Willis.

Dr ron Backal! STAY AWAY. I made an virtual appointment, I uploaded all documents 3 days before the appointment and his office said everything is good for my appointment. In the day go the appointment they canceled the appointment for no reason, supposedly because they “don’t recognize my insure “ At the last moment they come with an option that I can pay 300$ from my packet to see the doctor virtually. Scam

Though I didn’t see a doctor on this visit, the staff I did interact with (receptionists and two different technicians) were kind, helpful, and did their best to make me comfortable. My appointment was on a Friday afternoon & I had the results on my portal by Tuesday morning! The report was very detailed & easy to decipher.

  • 3/5 Revian C. 11 months ago on Google
Edit: one of the doctors (Dr. Levey) called me today apologizing for what happened and trying to get me in for my needed procedure. Luckily also was able to get my copay refunded. Booked an appointment specifying I needed a certain procedure done. Also told the receptionist before coming the appointment. Waited 40 minutes to be seen. This is nothing against the NP, she was sympathetic and apologetic. But she was unable to perform the procedure (an incision/drainage). The office did nothing else to accommodate me. None of the doctors had openings same day. The NP referred me to try urgent care and the ER. The office should double check when a certain common procedure is being asked if the booked provider can do this. This wasted my time and copay to have nothing done. I’m grateful at least the doctor in urgent care gave me some pain medicine to hold me over.

I’ve been going to MLM GYN practice for 10 years, and the GYN staff is amazing. I’m very pleased with their great doctors Dr. Hudson & Dr. Datta. I’m especially impressed with Dr. Blanton. She’s AMAZING, very thorough, deeply listens, and explains. I truly appreciate DR.. BLANTON’s appointments starting and ending on time! This allows me to plan my day accordingly especially on work days!

I have, over the many years visiting this midtown clinic and the one on Maiden Lane, been treated by three top-notch doctors who were all knowledgeable, personable, respectful of me and my concerns, and familiar with my health record. Both offices are efficiently run and respond promptly to medication refills. I’ve never had a long wait and if a doctor is running a bit late, someone will pop their head in to let me know. My most recent doctor, Dr. Janette Davison, at our first appointment recognized a potentially serious problem between a medication I was taking and my medical history, and requested that I consult a doctor in another field to determine the safety of continuing the medication. I deeply appreciate the interdisciplinary knowledge and medical training required to recognize what could have been a very dangerous risk to my health and respond appropriately.

I've been going to Maiden Lane for ten years or so and I've seen that there are many old complaints here. I never thought that it was very bad, but I have to say that it is notably improved from how it used to be. The front desk was quick, friendly, and professional. I had a new doctor this visit and she asked a lot of questions and had clearly reviewed my file and was attentive and professional. It was incredibly convenient to have my mammogram in the same office. Dr. Davison followed up with me via the portal and was very easy to communicate with. All in all, my last visits (I needed to follow up for an issue) have been very quick, timely, and professional. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Davison.

Met w/Dr. Janette Davison who was very kind, patient & thorough. She came highly recommended by a family member who was also referred by another. I’ve been dealing with painful-fibroids for 2yrs and Dr. Davison made me feel good about the steps we agreed on to address my issues. If you want someone who cares, thorough, and listens to YOU then Dr. Davison should be your choice.

Erin, I wanted to take the time to acknowledge the fabulous Erin (Registered Nurse, current focus on Women’s health and pass concentrate area with stellar accomplishments in infertility). I spoke to Erin on the evening of Tuesday July 20th, it make be the best conversation I have ever had with a medical professional, both personal and professionally. She took the time and made me feel like I mattered and more. Keep doing what you do Erin you are a rockstar and more. The new mammogram facility is actually very nice and welcoming as well. Could not recommend this practice more highly. I wish I could give them 10 stars! I see multiple doctors in the practice and am in love with all of them. After being dismissed and condescended to by so many other doctors, Maiden Lane is a dream come true.

I’ve waited to write this to allow distance from the raw emotions of my experience. I’ll avoid my doctor’s name. I’ve been a patient at Maiden Lane (ML) since around 2016. I started seeing Dr X at ML who was relatable and understanding. The following is took place over the course of a few years: I told Dr X about my pelvic pain and a mass I felt in my lower groin. She believed I had endometriosis, but informed me “It’s very hard to diagnose, so let’s just move forward as if you have it”. Regarding the mass in my groin, a PA from a small out of state office had raised the possibility that it could be an inguinal hernia. She said I need to confirm with my doctor. Dr X agreed with this theory and said it could be wrapped in endometrial fluid causing it to change in size. She ordered imaging and referred me to a hernia doctor. Dr Mary Hopkins (Dr H) at NYU was the hernia specialist I saw and is AMAZING. My 1st visit, she said it’s possible I have a hernia but Dr X would have to further test to see why it kept changing in size. I went back to Dr X and she said I have the option of her partnering with a surgeon to biopsy the mass. She elaborated that she doesn’t feel it would be necessary. In 2019 I got married and in 2020 my husband physically abused me, resulting in a broken leg. That combined with the pandemic made me unable to follow up with Dr X until September 2020. She was made aware of my home situation. I wanted to get back on track with the mass and was also curious about my ability to conceive due to endo. Dr X said she wasn’t too worried about the mass and ordered a follow up with Dr H. Dr X also provided in office testing to see the health of my eggs. I WAS NOT INFORMED OF PRICING BEFORE THE TEST. I disputed the amount with insurance but no luck. I started making payments to ML. I booked my follow up with Dr H, who's next opening was a few months later. She was frustrated with the lack of answers and ordered a special MRI. The MRI found that it was not a hernia, but instead a hard endometrial mass. There were other areas of concern including a STROMAL TUMOR on my left ovary. When I got the results, I was a wreck. I called and emailed Dr X’s office crying and begging for an emergency appointment. I finally got an email from Dr X saying that I would have to be booked on the regular schedule. Scheduling said it might be a week or two until she was free. Meanwhile, Dr H called me within 30 minutes of my results and calmed me down. She recommended another gynecologist Dr Erica Dun at NYU, who was able to fit me in the next day. To be clear, Dr Dun’s schedule was PACKED but her office and Dr H found a way. I wrote ML billing saying I would no longer pay the bill due to this misdiagnosis.Dr Kenneth Levey replied via email asking for my attorney’s info, I responded saying we could work this out on our own. He defended his doctors stating that if I would’ve seen the surgeon Dr X recommended the tumor would’ve been caught. Reminder, Dr X didn’t feel this was completely necessary. Also, this is totally speculative on Levey’s part because he doesn’t know what they would’ve caught. Levey claims there was no misdiagnosis, I was just an irresponsible patient that didn’t follow up for 4 years…bad math because I only fell off in 2019 and a portion of 2020. Sorry I had to heal my leg and work through divorce and domestic violence cases. Ultimately, I don’t blame Dr X for missing this. But she was not there in my time of need. The savages at Maiden Lane are hunting down a DV victim that now has to deal with a tumor and endo control. Hunting me down for money that I never approved in advance. My upcoming surgery is my financial priority. Maiden Lane cares for you until you expect them to go the extra mile. Save yourself and find another medical practice.

Most unorganized and difficult to work with facility. Needed to schedule a follow up imaging, as they recommended. However when attempted to schedule as they recommended, the scheduler seemed to be confused and not sure what needed to be done. Texted copy of the letter and was told they cannot see it. Sent an email instead and patiently waited- nothing happened. Texted again and this time was told clinical staff left a voicemail to address my concerns. That would have been ok, except it was straight out lie as I don't have a voicemail service on my phone - it has been full for years and I dont want any voicemails for a reason. Tried to speak to a manager, waited on hold for 15 min to be subsequently told the manager is not available and someone will call back. Still waiting for that phone call...No appointment scheduled...UPDATE- they did call back after I asked for a manager to file a complaint and now I am scheduled! Just wish it was less time consuming and aggravating to accomplish such a simple thing!

My visit was positive. The medical assistants were polite and helpful. Dr Barr patiently and clearly explains your test results and your options for medical solutions. Given the treatment I received recently, I would not advocate using this clinic. My father's insurance company has a limited number of providers that he can use, so for the sake of convenience, I chose one of Maiden Lane's urology doctors. I took my father to the office, and the personnel made us wait for around 35 minutes before seeing him. What's the sense of making an appointment if you're not going to take us on time or even acknowledge that the doctor is running late? After 35 minutes, the nurse entered, asked the questions, and signaled that the doctor would arrive shortly. Now we had to wait for the doctor. It took another 15 minutes for the doctor to arrive. The doctor ran his regular tests, sounded rushed, handed my father a prescription, and literally raced out of the room without giving us a chance to ask anything. This is a pity. The worst is yet to come. They mistakenly billed my insurance carrier with a wrong diagnosis code, and when I called the billing department, I was essentially given the runaround. The matter was eventually rectified but  I would not suggest this clinic.

From my first phone call to make my appointment to walking out the door after my appointment, Dr. Barr and her staff (front desk, nurses, physician’s assistants) all made my experience a really positive one. Everything was quick and efficient, but also with the warmth of genuine human connection. I find that to be a difficult combination to find in most doctor’s offices and I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend Maiden Lane!

I’ll never set foot into this office or any other location again. I had my annual OBGYN checkup and got a hefty bill because they charged me for a “depression and alcohol screening” that never took place! Nobody ever talked to me about alcohol or depression, yet I have to pay for it because they refuse to refund me for it. They say it’s mandatory, okay, but than at least do the screening!!! Cost me over 100 to check two boxes saying no, I’m not depressed and no, I don’t drink. That’s just theft. According to regulations the provider has to spend a minimum time of 7.5 minutes per screening. Nobody in that practice did any screening for any amount of time. I came in for a Pap smear that set me back 800. No thank you very much. I work hard for my money and won’t let them steal from me ever again.

My experience has always been great with Maiden Lane services, I have been going here for 8 years. They have great services starting with the front desk and medical assistant, Doctor Rachel is amazing, I highly recommend Her. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and caring.
