I have to come here to test for covidrapid every monday because work. This is what is happening now. Here they will tell you is packed and you will have to wait "hours" for the test to not check in the ipad. That they will text you and that you will have to wait outside. The guard keeps TELLING YOU TO LEAVE because is going to take HOURS. I stayed outside by the door and kept looking them in the eyes because the place was EMPTY as you can see in the pictures. They made me waste 50 minutes for a 2 minutes covid test. Other people came in and were told the same and they left. In the pictures you can see the plqce is empty while frontdesk tell people it will take hours that they should leave.

This has been the best urgent care visit ever. I came in for an upper respiratory infection and Dr. Nesheiwat treated me and more. She was genuinely caring and thorough in her assessment. She is the ideal encounter when it comes to patient care. The staff was pleasant after a long night. Pls treat Dr. N nice she deserves it

Edit: changed my rating from 2 stars to 1 star, because the more time that passes, the more I realize how absolutely unacceptable my experience here was. Normally, this place does a decent job, but mostly only for colds and viruses, however… Recently, I went in for a foot/leg problem. They took an x-ray, saw no broken bones, and diagnosed me with a mild sprain. They bandaged me up and told me to go home, and it wasn’t until another medical professional saw me LIMPING out of the office, that they decided to give me crutches. Turns out, I had a complete rupture of my Achilles. These doctors made it seem like I was just sprained, and they were going to, I repeat, let me leave LIMPING out of there. I have cried a lot, because in the time it took me to finally get seen by a podiatrist and be accurately diagnosed, my Achilles healed itself improperly. If the Urgent Care people would’ve taken more time to listen to my story, take me seriously, and actually feel the back of my leg… they could’ve caught this. I thought the doctor was acting kind of distant (like not really listening to me well), but I didn’t think he would actually be doing such a bad job listening that he would screw up something this important. I can’t quite transmit the feeling of being a very very good sprinter (I ran 100s growing up and now play soccer), to now not knowing if my tendon even has a fair chance of healing. This is seriously not okay, and it really saddens me that my situation wasn’t treated with utmost seriousness. I may only be another patient to them, but this is only one of two legs I have.

I would NOT recommend. I ended up fracturing my ankle real bad when going for a run. It was extremely swollen and I was limping when I walked on it. I came to location in hopes to have it looked at. When I saw the doctor/nurse, they said they don't have anyone to do xrays since its the weekend. "You'll need to go to another location." Little did I know, I would be face with a $300 bill for them to say they can't do anything. I spoke with the billing the department and they confirmed there was no work done. I expected the costs to be waived because I did not render any services with them. I was wrong. A $300 bill just for them to say they can't do anything and to go to another location. Extremely dissatisfied. Waste of time and money. I would NOT recommend.

Do NOT recommend!!! Waited in a completely empty waiting room for far too long as the front desk did nothing and clearly everyone was just lazy. I went to city md to get my blood drawn for a specific illness and I was told at the front desk that was ok. When I finally see the doctor, she tells me they do not do that and goes in circles explaining nothing. She tells me they will not charge me for the visit and the front desk is told the same yet here I am a couple weeks later with a bill for no service provided.

It was empty. No lines outside. No people inside. 4 employees at the front desk…. And they turn me away saying “we are not taking anymore patients today”. What’s the point of an urgent care if you refuse to take patients who urgently need care?!!!!!! Clearly the staff does not care to do their jobs.

Never got results back from my PCR test. Over 7 days now. I even went back to correct my email address in person to correct my email as they printed it wrong. But as of today never still received it. Not even as a spam. Also checking in as a walk-in was a nightmare. They make you wait for a text within an hour. So you have to go outside and wait. Then you get a text you have 30 minutes to show up. When I came back they declined me checking in. Because they said the system showed over 30 minutes! Even though I got the text less than 25minites! What joke was that!

June 20, 2021 on 345 W 42nd St was a complete waste of my time! Too many young untrained ladies at the front desk that can’t read and know what they are doing. I told the girl with the braided blue hair and long neon green nails. I need everything done on this page except a fit test. It was clearly marked drug test on the paper. Apparently, you have to take the drug test as soon as enter in the building you cannot go to the back room and then take your drug test. Once I questioned the PA about my drug test, oh we can’t do it you didn’t tell them at the front desk. I didn’t think I had to have it stapled on my chest so it can be read I need a drug test done. No, that person messed up at the front desk and now I have to come back because of her screw up. Now getting to the PA who couldn’t sign my physician statement. She wasted my time too. We prefer for you to go to your primary care doctor. Well I don’t have one. I’m 18 hours away from home and I’m needing clearance for my next job. Instead of telling me there are other locations that can sign she didn’t. She just left it there. Luckily, there is another CityMD that will sign my form due and I made mention to that the PA stated oh yes there are locations that can sign I just can’t. I’m glad I have some common sense. Because they all didn’t!!

Since we live close by this is our place to go for any emergency that needs urgent attention. They are always doing a fantastic job, also very friendly with kids! I think we’re regulars. From broken toes to knife cut fingers or other injuries. Treatment was great and if further attention is necessary they help you with suggestions or even make the appointment ahead (e.g. needed to see another specialist due to broken foot)

Excellent, efficient, with little difference between the facility in New York, right in Times Square, and our urgent care back home. Seamless. Including test time we were heading back to the hotel in under an hour.

Definitely a five star experience from beginning to end. Fast check in with QR code on their front door, no wait as I got there at opening, and saw doctor with minutes of arrival. Tests done, medical issue identified, plan of action discussed and I was on my way. I was so pleased with the service. I’m from out of town and was concerned I would have to wait for hours at a hospital ER but a friend found this for me and it worked out great.

A good experience when I looked for medical evaluation. The nurse was very kind. The doctor listened all my concerns patiently. It’s a neat and clean place. Just one thing; someone should assist to register in the machine at the entrance, specially to elderly patients. In general I recommend this place.

Five stars. Very kind and compassionate staff. I saw Dr. Felipe Serrano. His demeanor is so pleasant and he truly cares for his patients. (Plus he is hot even behind a mask 😮‍💨) His assistant is also very friendly. They are like the dream team of citymd bc I’ve had some nightmares. Go here if u are in midtown you won’t regret it!

I gashed my head on the corner of my medicine cabinet door. I went to a CityMD down the street from an off-Broadway play, my first time. All staff were excellent. I was seen quickly and got a staple in my head! Highly recommend.

Based on other reviews, it seems like it really depends on which doctor sees you. I went in last week just to make sure everything was okay after I had fainted the day before. I had fainted before, but developed a weird symptom of feeling like there’s fluid in my right ear. So I wanted to ask about that also. First, I had to wait 20min in waiting room, then 20 additional mins in an exam room before the doctor saw me. Once the doctor walked in, she asked if I came in for other issues..? And I saw no. She apologized saying she had confused me with another patient. Then when I asked her if the clogged ear sensation had anything to do with fainting and she quickly cut me off and said that has nothing to do with it. So then I asked if it could possibly be related to another condition I have. Then she quickly said no and started walking out the door when I still had questions. The whole time, I felt like I was an inconvenience, and felt like I wasn’t being heard. She said I don’t have an ear infection and probably just have fluid in my middle ear. And that was the whole diagnosis. Now it’s been 2 days and my right ear is killing me, I’ll probably need to go see another doctor if this doesn’t go away.

I visited this clinic to do a regular set of std tests and everyone seemed nice and professional. However, I received the promised “same-day” results a week later with most of the tests results having comments like “No suitable specimen received. Please review the test requirements” and the reason for the visit stated as “Contact with and exposure to HIV”

I was traveling from out of town and have never been so glad to have City MD available. They treated me with the utmost care. They were quick yet thorough and I was able to travel home again the following day. Lots of love from this Tennessee girl.

For years I’ve been comming here and the service is excellent! Sometimes the wait can be a little long but overall a very pleasent place to get my COVID tests done. The security person at the door was also extremely helpful and welcoming. I recommend .

I would not recommend to come here for pcr test if you need it for something very important. Came in and was told results would be ready within 3-5 days but that was not the case. I had to call in twice and was told they don’t have a status on the results as they send the samples to an outsourced lab. After 9 days (yes 9 days!!!), I called again and was told the results came back but it was not published on my account/app so I never got a notification. Still took 6 days to come back and representative wanted to connect me with their app provider to find out why it was not published to my account (hello? Shouldn’t this be something you guys should figure out?). I ended up having to go to another provider and pay out of pocket to get the results for an important surgery - this was nerve wrecking as they would have cancelled my surgery without a covid test result. I gave myself enough time of 5 days to get results back but seems like that was not long enough. Usd 150 for another covid test that was done in 1 hour the evening before the surgery!!

This is the worst place to go get tested for Covid. Been there 3 times had a terrible experience all 3 times. They should get someone who knows how to manage better that place. You will be disappointed from the moment you walk in to the second you walk out.

While on a short family trip, needed to bring our daughter in after she developed a new fever. While concerned about having to find impromptu care in an unfamiliar city, we visited with a provider and medical assistant on the morning of 4/19/22. The front desk, medical assistant and provider were all welcoming, kind and caring. They met and exceeded our last minute needs! Thank you for being there for us!

Doctor prescribed me Zyrtec for a sinus infection and proceeded to scream at me when I called and claimed I had no infection because I was not experiencing it for 14 days?! This place is awful and completely stealing peoples money and time.

They were very kind. I went 15 minutes before they closed on a Sunday and they saw me right away for a painful UTI and they gave me an antibiotic and analgesic so that my treatment didn’t have to wait for a pharmacy to open on Monday.

I was in a work related accident and made the claim to my employer. I was instructed by the employers health provider that they sent my information to City MD and that they were expecting me. Once I got to the establishment, there was miscommunication between the City MD staff. The doctors assistant that took my blood pressure and basic information called me 5 days later accusing me of wrongful information when she herself may have took information down wrong. I have told the same information to three different providers with the same information. I even have all the same paperwork and receipts as proof. I find it very unprofessional that there was negligence on the City MD staff not correctly filing out their paperwork then turn around and accuse the patient of wrong information. If the staff needs more proof of dated and timed receipts of my claim, feel free to contact me AGAIN.

It’s always a good feeling when you first enter a facility and the first thing you hear someone say is “ Hello welcome “. The staff were friendly ( security guard as well) and Dr. M Tahzib was the kindest caring person/ practitioner I’ve met. I was literally just given medication for treatment just Thursday it’s now Friday (2/2023) so can’t really say if it’s helped tremendously yet but we’ll see, but I felt really at ease after leaving from the urgent care. I just hope everyone never changes in the way they treat their patients.

The doctors here don't care and don't pay attention to what's going on. I've been a few times and every time they've done a poor job, so I've wound up going to my primary care a few days later for something that should have been handled when I went here. Except for the time they really flubbed it and sent me to the ER two days later. You're better off waiting a day or two to get in to a regular physician than wasting time here.

Edit: I visited this location again on 7/10/2023. I went in for pain in my left side and stomach area. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming! Dr. Tammy was really personable; she did a thorough stomach exam and ordered a full culture urine test. She also explained possible causes for my pain. I will definitely recommend this location to anyone seeking medical attention! A few months ago I went to CityMD for a sudden terrible pain in my left knee. The receptionists and nurses were very friendly and pleasant! The Dr. treated me with respect and explained everything to me about the possible causes of my knee pain, one of them being a strain from a previous treadmill exercise the night before. She even offered to take an X-Ray. I declined, only because I was going to my podiatrist the next day. I liked that I didn't have to wait too long! The location I went to was West 42nd Street, NYC.

Douglas Kaiden is the most unhelpful, unqualified, and the rudest doctor I have ever met. Getting my extreme cough and shortness of breath diagnosed as anxiety is ridiculous. He walks into the room and asks me what brought me in & immediately interrupts me when I try to explain my problem. @CityMD Please fire this doctor & listen to all the 1 star reviews that are on the internet about this lame man. == Other than Douglas Kaiden, the staff at this location is friendly & I would have otherwise given this location 5 stars.
