It’s one of the common tourist spot. The main building has an amazing architecture structure and looks amazing from both inside and outside. I was fortunate enough to visit the place from inside and it was a great experience. Really love the inside of this amazing place. The columns, ceiling it all of it just gives you totally different vibe. Also there’s New York city hall park right beside, which is open for public and a good spot to sit down and enjoy the day.

What a beautiful & pleasant time I had yesterday! Thank you so much for the RSVP & making ME feel special by celebrating our Eid Ul Fitr ! It was my first time & I am glad I came all the way to the city to enjoy this moment of togetherness! Loved the lights on the city hall for Eid Ul Fitr. Get to meet some Extraordinary Muslim scholars & other men women who is trying to make our lives better, safer! Loved the Quran recitation & Eid songs ! Made some new friends, eat some Bangladeshi sweets. Also met that brilliant beautiful Bangladeshi 5 year old who did the Quran recitation! Thank you all for the arrangements & hard work ; thanks to the sponsors for the treats . Besides going to a Masque I had never seen different cultures under one roof celebrating Eid with open hearts ! I was tearing up, as a Hijabi living in NYC had been difficult after 9/11! So watching everyone so happy in City Hall welcoming us this was wonderful. I know I have missed the past events because I always stay away from them. But I am glad I was able to attend this one. So felt proud to see Shahana Hanif there, as a Muslim Bangladeshi American Women it was indeed a unforgettable moment. I hope I will still be alive to see next generation girls following her foot steps ...!

Great walking around NYC downtown area that houses majestic and landmark buildings with significant architecture such as Woolworth tower which was the highest office building in the world until 1931, City Hall, Municipal building, Court house, Supreme court, and many more. Big Apple represents diversity not only in the culture, it reflects in it's dramatic landscape filled with iconic buildings making New York city stand unique.

Old French Renaissance architectural style of City Hall send us back into 18th century though surrounding skyscrapers remind us of our time. The combination of these buildings from various periods makes this place more attractive. Beautiful old park with contemporary visual art monuments is very pleasant place for everybody.

Registered for a free tour of the City Hall. The tour is approximately 1 hour long and consists of standing and walking through the building for the entire duration. Photography is permitted of art and architecture only. Volunteer docent was informative and knowledgeable!

Great place to visit. There's performance artists who do their thing and you don't know what they will be doing. Local artists will also display their artwork for you to see. The food wagon will also be there so if you get the munchies, you can satisfy your needs. It is also close to the trade center and the churches so you can visit them too. The only thing is that they don't have a public restroom so pee first.

You can't even go near the building itself. It's saying to visitors that the city itself is unwelcoming compared to the other city halls in the country

Umm new vaccine mandate really. Lol guess I won't eat there again or deliver food or toilet paper to new York city again. All I can say is good luck. Alot of drivers will take this personally and by the way discrimination of one group doesn't look good for new York city. Might want to rethink that decision carefully.

You have to book online for this free tour beforehand, but it is so worth it. Learnt so much about the history of the area and City Hall. Had access to City Hall Chambers, plus function room with amazing artwork and historical pieces including Washington's desk. The guide was brilliant pointing out all the hidden details on the paintings and sculptures, that I would of missed on my own. Highly recommended!!!

This is still City Hall of New York City Today! When expansion was needed instead of tearing down this building - they chose to preserve the building and expand by building Municipal Building across the street.

The NYC City Hall is an iconic landmark in the heart of Manhattan that holds significant historical and architectural value. As the seat of government for New York City, it plays a crucial role in shaping the city's administration and policies. Here's my review of this historic building: Firstly, the architecture of NYC City Hall is simply stunning. The neoclassical design with its grand columns, impressive facade, and intricate detailing showcases the building's rich history and adds to the overall charm. It's a sight to behold, especially for architecture enthusiasts or history buffs. Inside, the interior is equally impressive. The grand entrance hall, adorned with beautiful marble and artwork, creates a sense of grandeur. The historic rotunda is a true gem, with its elegant staircase and ornate ceiling. Walking through the halls, you can't help but appreciate the sense of importance and significance associated with this place. The building's historical significance cannot be overstated. It has served as the hub of New York City's governance for more than two centuries, witnessing countless pivotal moments in the city's history. Being inside these walls feels like stepping into a time capsule, and it's a humbling experience to stand where many influential figures have stood before. One of the highlights of visiting NYC City Hall is the opportunity to witness local government in action. Attending a council meeting or observing the inner workings of city government can be an eye-opening experience, providing insight into the decision-making process and the issues faced by New Yorkers. It's a great way to engage with the city's democratic processes firsthand. However, there are a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning. Accessibility can be a challenge, especially for individuals with mobility issues. The building is quite old, and though efforts have been made to improve accessibility, there are still limitations. Additionally, visitor access to certain areas may be restricted during official events or meetings, so it's advisable to check the schedule beforehand. Overall, the NYC City Hall is an architectural masterpiece with immense historical significance. It offers a glimpse into the city's past and present governance while providing a visually captivating experience. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or civic engagement, a visit to the NYC City Hall is a must-do when in New York City

After arriving to Queens and my plans didn't go as it planned. I rode the subway for the New Year's turning into 2022. I had to toughen up and tell myself, "It's not the end of the world." So, I started walking like I do in Virginia. I first saw a basketball court... I love it. Then, I saw the Apollo and everything else I would have heard about growing up. I respect real history. I had my first taste of some New York Restaurants' meal thanks to Chocolat' in Harlem. Then, the rest was history... I saw Harriett Tubman's statue. I never thought I see a statue like that. Keep doing what y'all are doing to bring everyone together.

City Hall, today, was aflame with Truths being spoken to power. Voices being heard of the Suffering of the citizens of New York, both free and incarcerated. Words of Truth dealt with the Housing problems for All NYs, PETA(to protect the lives of horses, Workers party for Fair Wages, RAPP to protect our Elders in prison; every Voice lifted. If you missed it, come the next time Truth Speaks. Tell them I sent you, and see what a wonderfully Human impact you can make on other's lives. And, if you want to contribute time, hit me here.

I was unable to go inside, however, it is a cool building from the outside. When in a city it is always good to have a look at that cities city hall if you are interested in goingnin side you need to contact them and all. It takes a bit of time but it is probably worth it to have a look at it from the inside. If you can and have the time go and see it from the inside.

Because so many hands are on deck is why but if as much money we're put into hiring custodians else where as is done by City Hall then it would improve all over

I performed some research before we chose to work with city hall, and we selected the best group. The choice we made this year was the greatest one. By the manner they demonstrated their work talents, I made the proper choice. I am thrilled with the edited photos they provided and the finished album. I would be delighted to suggest him to anyone who requires a skilled photographer.

New York City Hall is the seat of New York City government, located at the center of City Hall Park in the Civic Center area of Lower Manhattan, between Broadway, Park Row, and Chambers Street. Constructed from 1803 to 1812,[1] the building is the oldest city hall in the United States that still houses its original governmental functions,[5] such as the office of the Mayor of New York City and the chambers of the New York City Council. While the Mayor's Office is in the building, the staff of thirteen municipal agencies under mayoral control are located in the nearby Manhattan Municipal Building, one of the largest government buildings in the world. New York City Hall is a National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[4][6][7] The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission designated both City Hall's exterior and interior as official city landmarks in 1966 and 1976, respectively.[2] New Amsterdam's first City Hall was built by the Dutch in the 17th century near 73 Pearl Street.[8] The city's second City Hall, built in 1700, stood on Wall and Nassau Streets. That building was renamed Federal Hall in 1789, after New York became the first official capital of the United States after the Constitution was ratified. Plans for building a new City Hall were discussed by the New York City Council as early as 1776, but the financial strains of the war delayed progress. The Council chose a site at the old Common at the northern limits of the city, now City Hall Park. City Hall was originally an area for the first almshouse in 1653. In 1736, there was a financed almshouse for those who were fit to work, for the unfit, and those that were like criminals but were paupers.[9]
