Well I’m 28 years old and lived in Passaic/ Bergen county my whole life and never came to the Statue of Liberty 🗽 I was so excited & it really was amazing. I booked the ferry tickets the night before without a problem. Be sure to arrive early as the lines for security are quite long. The ferry ride stops at Ellis island first with the option to get off or head to Liberty first instead. The grounds are beautifully kept. The museum is relatively new and is a really cool spot to check out while you’re on the island. There’s a gift shop, bathrooms, cafe and out door seating as well. In order to climb the Statue of Liberty you must have a reservation well in advance to going. I didn’t realize that until after we were there and it was too late to climb. It was still an awesome experience and I’m super happy we did it. The ferry there and back was super easy as well. Head up to the second floor of the ferry and go towards the front of the boat. That’s where you’ll find the best view while riding to the island. God bless America 🇺🇸 We truly are an incredible Country ! Looking up at the Statue of Liberty is just breath taking! Enjoy

The Statue of Liberty was built in France between 1875 and 1884. It was disassembled and shipped to New York City in 1885. The statue was reassembled on Liberty Island in 1886, although the torch has been redesigned or restored several times since its installation

The route is very short and if there are not many people you can do it quickly. The museum is also short. The store has many very cool and recommended souvenirs. There is a cafeteria, bathrooms and drinking fountains.

Had a great time seeing the statue from up close and enjoyed the view from the pedestal. The food from the café was also really nice. I disliked the fact that I had to make an account for wifi, for which the password was send to e-mail which I couldn't access because I didn't have wifi. But overall my experience here was great!

What more is there to say... An amazing gift from one friend to another. A trip we should all have on our bucket list. Breathtakingly beautiful and meaningful. Once in a lifetime experience. It was very cumbersome to get there but I am glad we made the trip and stuck with it. Its a beautiful boat ride up to the statue and wonderful pictures of Manhattan from the island. We didn't go into the statue but i would say the view from the island is amazing enough. This was my first time and definitely, I will be back! The whole island is awesome!

recently had the pleasure of visiting Liberty Island, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped off the ferry, we were surrounded by breathtaking views of the New York City skyline and the iconic Statue of Liberty. The island itself is well-maintained and easy to navigate, with plenty of helpful staff and informative signage to help visitors make the most of their visit. The Statue of Liberty herself is truly a sight to behold, and the museum inside the pedestal offers a fascinating look at the history and symbolism of this iconic monument. I also appreciated the opportunity to climb to the top of the pedestal and take in the stunning views of the surrounding area. While the climb can be a bit strenuous, the payoff is well worth it. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Liberty Island to anyone who is interested in American history or simply wants to take in some of the most beautiful views that New York City has to offer. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that should not be missed.

One of the best places. You should buy your ticket at city cruises. It cost 24 $/per.. This ticket is also for Eli’s island too. There is a museum, park, restaurant, gift shop and of course miss liberty there. You have enough space for chilling and enjoying the day.

It is one of the places in New York that you cannot miss. Take the ferry from Battery Park to the island. The monument is impressive from wherever you look at it.

There are rumors that those who do not already have American citizenship are not allowed to come to the island. It’s a bad omen, they say that those who were on the island without citizenship never receive it. Be careful 😊

Statue of Liberty National Monument Liberty's Symbols The Statue of Liberty conveys its message of freedom through a number of dramatic examples. The broken shackles at her feet signify escape from tyranny. In her left arm, she holds a tablet of law bearing in Roman numerals the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. Her crown's seven rays represent a sunburst spreading enlightenment and reason throughout the world. Most significant of all, however, her torch and flame symbolize truth and justice enlightening the world. Perhaps no poem brings these symbols to life more than "The New Colossus," a sonnet written by Emma Lazarus in 1883 as an attempt to raise funds for the pedestal's completion. The New Colossus Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land, Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a borch, whose fl Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide seelcome; her mind eyes command The air bridged harbor that twin cities framt "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

La Liberté éclairant le monde) is a large neoclassical bronze sculpture located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. This work was designed by French architect Frédéric Bartholdi and was inaugurated on October 28, 1886. This is a gift from the French people to America. This is one of those places in New York that you cannot miss. Take the ferry from Battery Park to the island. The monument is impressive from wherever you look at it.

I wouldn't recommend it if you only got a few days to visit the City, but it's quite impressive when you stare at the statue from its feet, though. The best views on the statue are from the ship. Stay near the left aisle.

There's no doubt, this is a Must See place in New York. The view change since you're on the boat until very up-close make you feel like you could touch the statue. Great experiences.

The ticket booth to the island closes at 15h15 and not 15h30.so buy tickets before it closes, the statue base only was open and not the upper levels.4 stars cause we still cant access the statues flame or head!

Must see place when visiting NYC. The free audio guide was very informative. I did museum first to understand how the statue was built. Then I did the walk around the base. I bought the general admission ticket via Statue City Cruises. Then I did Ellis Island afterwards.

Iconic experience. Liberty Island has a snack tent, restaurant, and, of course, Lady Liberty, to name a few. The ferry was pretty hassle-free and I really, really appreciated the shaded area right next to the dock. Definitely come on a weekday and make sure to check the forecast. Classic, amazing, and educational vacation spot.

It was great experience even in the foggy weather. One note: you have to buy tickets two months in advance to go up into the statue up to the top. (They only sell tickets there to go up in the pedistal base)

Simply a must for anyone who is here in New York. We took the ferry and just drove over. Just to walk around there. Afterwards there will be a stop at Eliey Island on the return journey. You can also get out here and take a tour. Everything for 25 dollars, I thought it was absolutely okay. You can't complain about that. I'll leave a few pictures and videos here. Greetings Mark 👍

A must if you haven’t been to NY before especially the crown visit… but (avoid if you’re claustrophobic or afraid of heights) it’s a tight spiral staircase all the way up but we’ll worth it if that doesn’t phase you.
