What an architecturally interesting building! I love the view of it from Brooklyn and as you are crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. The building was designed by the historic McKim, Mead, and White firm in 1914 and was the first to incorporate a subway station inside. The architecture is very unique and has been described as Roman Imperial, French Renaissance, and Italian Renaissance. It served as the inspiration for the Wrigley Building in Chicago. It’s currently home to over 2000 employees.

Impressive and distinct high rise municipal building displaying a variety of architectural influences and influencing a number of beloved buildings elsewhere in the United States. This striking building is near City Hall Park and the Brooklyn Bridge and is well worth seeing up close.

Absolutely historic! Historic and iconic! When your walk to the Brooklyn Bridge from the Manhattan side, turn around. This building will stand out as the most majestic. Taking a picture of this and your own picture with it is absolutely a must! Cheers!

Amazing architecture. This building was build in 1914 and stands so majestically. The surroundings are pretty clean. It’s well connected to 6, A,C, 2,3 subways which are just few blocks away. Very close to the Brooklyn bridge too.

Beautiful grand building right to Brooklyn bridge. The building looks more mystery because it is government buildings with police and the big metal car blocker. I still can walk around and take pictures and this spot is popular for wedding pictures also.

Pretty quiet place, not very busy. The security staff who run the metal detectors are actually very nice, which is very surprising.
