Large spaces degsined for different activities to match the visitors choices and provide a space for everyone to enjoy their time .The view of the bridge is one of the best for tourists .There are many swings, slides, and facilities for kids like the sand pool .Sport lovers also has playgrounds for football and basketball. Its also the destination for people that want to enjoy the sun light on the soft green grass or just enjoy time with friends and family.

The spring flowering trees are gorgeous. The play area for kids was wonderful for kids of all ages. Not for teens. There are clean restrooms and plenty of places to sit. There is a dog park. It's pretty big.

Always a great park to walk through, has a nice playground for the kids to play in and a bridge that looks actually like the George Washington Bridge, has a basketball court, and beautiful view of the George Washington Bridge at the top of the park.

I was told today by another dog owner to be careful because “under that tree is a rat poison”. I will post picture below about which tree he was talking. Dog owners beware. Dog park rangers, what is going on? I feel that it should be reported to 311.

This was my childhood park I made many memories here. As a little girl I remember going to the park and they had sprinklers spend many hours there. Then as a teenager I remember going to the park to think and hangout with my friends. As an adult I took my my own children and grandchildren too visit where I was raised. I’ve been back many times since I left and it hasn’t changed at all ❤️ My most recent was for all the hype about the movie The Heights which was filmed in my childhood neighborhood 174th Audubon st. Watching the movie brought back so many memories😌 Jew park that’s what we called it. High bridge pool and the neighborhood corner bodega. NYC made who I am today 💯I miss living in NYC 🗽

I loved it, I had never been there and the experience was beautiful. If you want to sit in front of the water and watch the others fish or you want to fish, this is the place, it has a large parking lot, benches, and bathrooms. In fact, you can go with your family, I recommend it

Beautiful little park. Love the big rock where you can sit on and absorb nature's beauty. They have a small area for dogs. I love animals, so it was a joy to watch them play.

    J. Hood Wright Park, located in Washington Heights in Manhattan, is a great public space for recreation!! I haven't been in the park much myself, but I walk by all of the time and the space seems to be pretty well-kept by NYC Parks. The playground is so cute (it's designed to look like the George Washington Bridge (GWB) in the main play area), and there are awesome views of the GWB itself from the grassy areas of the park. The basketball courts are always busy and seem to be a great spot for groups to convene for games. Again, the whole space seems to be well-maintained, which makes it an inviting, safe space in the neighborhood for all to gather + play!

This Washington Heights neighborhood park is well maintained and allows for a pleasant spot to walk your dog, take your family, and relax. It can get crowded during the summer and has different areas for different activities. Like Central Park, it has Ice Age rock formations that add interesting topography to add character to the landscape. The pictures capture the beauty of the empty park on a rainy Saturday.

It is a lovely park! I grew up there, and it has only gotten better. I just wish that the bathrooms were open by 6am for those who jog and exercise and are in need of a bathroom sometimes

It is always great; it has been much cleaner (good job park people (users too))and if you have children, do not lose the opportunity to see the Scary House on Halloween, they did a nice work last year; let's see if they can bet it this year
