Have many things there including even a swimming pool. I know the place best for its Israeli Folk Dancing that is there every Wednesdays (expect Jewish holidays) from 8:15pm-12:45am. Dancing alternates about every half hour between Couple and Circle dancing. Usually every time they teach 1 Circle dance and 1 Couple dance. Notices of dances are sent in advance to people that come and put there name on their email list. Teaching basics (pre-registered series) is before 7-8pm. Current fee is $14 per person. Now usually on 4th Floor but was on 2nd Floor Ballroom and now also there some of the time. Few Saturday nights a year there are parties. BIG Marathon party is always evening before Thanksgiving holiday until 4am where lots of people participate. Really fun and good exercise. Currently 92nd Y requires proof of Covid-19 Vaccination to enter the building and email for contact tracing if Covid-19 infection is detected.

Along with many supporters of your wonderful programs, my husband and I are dismayed by the decision to censor the participation of Viet Thanh Nguyen. You have failed in the defense of the most fundamental human rights and our confidence in your judgment has been shaken. Please defend freedom of expression, especially at moments like these when fundamental rights are being violated.

I want to write a RAVE Review about the great staff members who work at the 92nd Street Y’s BOX OFFICE. The evening that I came with a complicated issue, having inadvertently purchased tickets for an interview with Harvey Fierstein. My error was thinking that Harvey was being interviewed by Amy Schumer, but instead Harvey was interviewing Amy Schneider. Fortunately, Chris, Jonathan and Kim were able to refund my tickets and credit them for a future event. I was very impressed by their empathy and their dedication to this wonderful organization.

It's playtime! Ball pit, climbing maze, rings, tunnels, balance beams: the 92nd Street Y's indoor jungle gym has it all for the toddler or young child. I brought my 2-year old daughter here on a cold winter day and she absolutely enjoyed exploring all of the play equipment. Everything was so colorful, safe and enjoyable. There was plenty of adult staff spread throughout the play place to monitor each of the play sets. There were not too many children here when we visited: perhaps 12 at the most. I would definitely come back here for play time.

We rented a space for my nephew’s birthday party and entrusted his birthday cake to the staff to be stored in the communal refrigerator. When the time came to bring the cake, the staff told us with a shrug that the cake was missing and couldn’t be found and we had to finish the party without it leading to supreme amounts of disappointment and upset. The event was nearly ruined and I have to live with the memory of my nephew asking why the cake was taken and why whoever took it couldn’t just ask…………

Attended the Wednesday night Israeli dancing for the second time in 30 years. It was wonderful to dance in a group in person I should come back more often! They have a special studio just for dancing. I emailed 92Y to make sure the session was still happening, after I had not been able to preregister for the session on their website. They answered promptly, and I did not have to preregister, just pay at the door and show vaccination etc.

We registered our daughter in the polliwogs swim class. Instructors were nice and the classes themselves were good and fun. Our issues were that the swimming pool itself is too cold and also the family locker room space is limited. We ended up having to drop out after only 4 of 14 classes for unrelated reasons. We tried contacting them multiple times for a credit for a future season. We got no response to our emails or messages. Perception was they are unorganized or intentionally unresponsive.

Cancelling an author for speaking out against the GENOCIDE of a people. Disgusting. If this place promotes and encourages culture, then we as Americans are screwed.

I was in a chocolate fair that was super nice and delicious! We can taste the chocolate in every table and also participate in a chocolate decoration workshop, it was great!

I was told I was locked into a $59.99 membership for as long as we are stuck in Covid. Well, my membership is now $82 and as far as I know, Covid is still going on. They said that with this price increase they would give members more amenities like towel service starting September 1st, when they raised the price. It is now October 15th and we still don't have towels. They brought used, rusty kitchen racks into the locker room where towels are supposed to be, but still no towels. The elevators take FOREVER. It will take you 5-10 minutes to get up or down to the third floor where the gym is. It drives me crazy. Check out this picture I took today while waiting for the elevator. This is what I am paying for?

I went to the annual ceramics sale. I bought some lovely gifts. Some items on display for sale were out of my price range, but beautiful. I had a chance to look around briefly. I will look into other programs and events.

Extremely disappointing and infuriating that 92NY is using their vast resources to silence and censure individuals speaking out against an ongoing genocide, including a Pulitzer-prize winning author who is a refugee himself. Shame on you.

I have mixed feeling about this place. We have had our daughter’s third birthday party here. It felt like the staff didn’t really know what they were doing or moved slowly and unsure. The music was a failure. I’ve made a playlist of my daughters favorite songs but their ancient player couldn’t connect (and they admitted it happens a lot). The whole gym maze experience is okay, we live very close so will come back but only because it’s the closest indoor playground. The gym doesn’t seem clean, and looks cluttered

Amazing place! I’m taking a machine sewing course. The instructor is very kind and patient. The building is nice and conveniently located. Overall a great arts center in the UES.

Very nice location with a beautiful gym and swimming pool and several different classes for adults and kids. They also host many conversations with celebrities, writers and various other interesting people.

Went to see Daniel Craig and watch Glass Onion movie. So I got the tickets for the first row on the balcony which were more expensive. However, there was a pipe in front of my sit and it blocked the whole view. Tried to reach out to the center and get at least a partial refund as this is not acceptable. No response at all. Very disappointed!

5 stars for the beautiful facility in a central location; 1 star for the oil painting for absolute beginners class I spent $300 on. I would’ve needed to spend another $100-200 on all the supplies. But the real kicker is that the instructor didn’t bother to teach… anything. As it states, I’m an absolute beginner. I don’t know what materials to mix with what, I don’t know the differences between oil or acrylic, I don’t know the different types of paintbrushes and when to use them… I asked the teacher multiple times for help and I got a vague “just feel things out” every time. When I looked visibly frustrated, she went on a “be kind to yourself” speech. I’m literally paying hundreds to learn and she wasn’t bothering to teach. The girl next to me said she goes home and Googles/Youtubes everything herself! Instead of paying to have a teacher play indie music and sit down while I blindly figure things out, I could order supplies and self teach at home for free. I never showed up again and lost the $300. What a waste. I’m interested in other classes here still, and wondering if this was just a fluke. I’d be open to considering a different class (with a different teacher) in the future.

We had our son's 5th birthday party here this summer in August at the outdoor pool not knowing what to expect, but it was all-around perfectly executed, the children had so much fun, communication with the staff was excellent and there were swim instructors there making sure everyone was safe and having fun so the parents could all relax and enjoy!! Look at that!! Will be planning my younger son's birthday here in a few years. Thank you so much 92NY.

I just heard that the Ralph Fiennes sold out TS Elliot poetry reading contest of The Waste Land on December 5, 2022 is going to be broadcast online all over the world for a hefty fee $$$. What exactly is The Y's and its board of directors going to do with all that money? Give it back to Ralph Fiennes' Harry Potter victims? The Children of the Night in Los Angeles? The victims of the WYCA, WMCA, NYC homeless residence shelters? Free cultural events for hard working poor NYC residents waiting for housing vouchers? Or maybe the Y's can start by apologizing to all these people with free trauma informed support services and free harm reduction education classes. Just a thought 💭🤔. P.S. I already bought my in person ticket 🎟 to this world wide event 🌎 ... 😊

The Gymnastics facility and the coaching at 92nd Street Y are incredible. I had an awesome session there last week. If you're looking for gymnastics instruction in Manhattan be sure to check out the 92nd Street Y. I highly recommend it.

I've been hearing about the fabled 92nd Street ever since I can remember-- Known for the extensive courses and activities they offer, it is THE place to soak up a bit of New York's local culture-- well I had the opportunity to attend Tyler Perry's new film premiere (Jazzman's Blues) along with a live Q&A featuring Tyler himself! The film, the Q&A and the organization/edifice itself was GREAT! Finally! I can check this one off my list😊

I bought tickets for Reba and Trisha Yearwood and I didn't even get the chance to talk to him even though I raised my hand and everything and they still wouldn't let me talk to them disappointing and it was for the zoom call I will never buy event tickets from 92y again it was for 25 dollars they could have spare ten minutes and let me talk to Reba and Trisha Yearwood.
