    A quick stop for pet supplies . The store is never too busy , the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. A variation of pets , I've gotten fish (beta's and glow in dark tetras). I've also gotten me bearded dragon from here they usually carry a few

    Whenever I go in they usually have one person on cashier and I can never find anyone on the floor , on a Saturday they had two cashiers, and one person in fish . Walking around I see they keep bettas in the freshwater tanks . These bettas were cramped with 30 Glofish, gouramis , and even crabs . I spoke to a manager and he said “ oh someone did that last week , I’ve been working on it “ it doesn’t take a week to scoop a couple of bettas out of these tanks . I know the cups aren’t great either but , putting them in a tank where they get harassed/ stressed out by other fish is not better .

    Staff is very nice but some are not always so eager to help. The company is not at fault, it's just some workers with their own personality and work ethics. I complain about this and management was very helpful to correct the situation. I now see that this store seems to want to be as professional as possible and it's what they strive for. I will continue to come here and recommend this store to anyone.

    Conure bird cages full of feces the stepping in it eating it, extremely unsanitary please start cleaning these cages Mauro or I am calling internal affairs as well as New York department of animal control I have done it with the one on Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn

    I finally started my freshwater fish-tank hobby! I’ve been doing some extensive research to provide a hospitable environment for my aquatic friends and my family and I are Enjoying it so far! We have 1 tetra, 2 mollies, 2 snails and 2 plants so far. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Steven, Gio and Chris who all helped me out with decision making. I would give 5 stars, but the final star will be added when a sufficient amount of high demand fish are in stock like Plecos!!!

    Despite long lines and a lack of proactive staff offering assistance, I gave it a 3. I inquired about spaying services, but they didn't provide any extra resources for an organization caring for animals. On a positive note, I appreciated meeting other furry animals while shopping, and they had the supplies I needed for my cats and dogs.

    It’s a good store but the dude with all the tattoos and the gauges is so rude, he won’t acknowledge guest, he snatches things out of peoples hands, and throws and slams dry and canned food, if you hate your job just get another one!! Just to not deal with him I’ll take the trip to Rego park.

    Had to dock a star as on my recent visit I saw a lot of their betta fish either dead or very sick. You people have got to stay on top of your animal's health.

    I love Petco. I go there to get food for my dogs and guinea pigs. I enjoy looking at the variety of fish they have. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

    I wish the manager would restrict dog owners from allowing them to jump on customers especially while waiting in line. Not everyone is a dog person and its very nerve-wrecking to have a huge dog jump on you. They also should make the dog owners clean up after the dogs they allow to run without throughout the store. I saw several piles of droppings.

    Absolutely love their service. We went their for a cat cage and a toy without knowing that they frequently have discounts on the website. The staff helped us with the price match (though it ended up that the products we bought have the same online prices). We used to have a cat bag. But Oreo tore it apart. The cat cage (not in the picture) is strong enough so far. I hope that Oreo will not be able to chew on the hard cover cat cage… The toy became their best friend in one second. ❤️❤️

    Petco is supposed to be a nice place for get food , toys , wellness check , vaccines, grooming ...etc , our adorable pets, but today is the worst day ever , I make and appointment for my dogs to do the vaccines for the year , even I got all the messages and emails they send me for the appointment, today I have to work , and I ask my mother to go with another family member, to the appointment, she arrive there , and tell the name and hour that have the appointment, the lady that attended her (let's have in mind that my mom doesn't speak to much English), say that there's nothing in the system, she's call me and say that there's nothing . So I send her the emails that I have for the appointment information, she's trying to again, the lady stated to be rude with her and didn't want to help her , saying she's not helping her , my mom call me again , saying that THIS LADY, doesn't want to do the vaccines for my dogs , even I hear starting crying, and I decided to call the phone that is for costumers services, the boy that was speaking with me , was really comprehensible , I even mention about the problem , of my mom she was already leaving the place of such rude and racism towards her, the guy was saying that he was going to check and if my mom can go back , but I tell him , that if my mom goes back that is possible to attend my dogs, I hope this problem is not happening again with another costumers, you guys should teach you employees, manners and a good costumers service ,

    The experience at the store was mixed. My bud and I asked someone to assist, and they did look busy. Not wanting to rush a person- we told them we would wait in an aisle nearby. While going through the products we needed, we noticed she was up and about and helping other customers. Oh well. We did talk to another person who was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Our concerns about an adopted fish turned into needing an entire new tank/filtration system. This is where things turned strange. The tank was covered on the top and bottom, so we didn't know the top wasn't included. Honestly if they sold us the top this review would be different. We looked online to have that part delivered while setting up the tank, and there it was. The Petco site virtually EVERYTHING is less from a few dollars to 60% off. So we called the store to purchase the top and inquired about getting the online pricing. All of a sudden the tone changed. We were given fake names, and everyone we talked to was a manager. Save yourself from the store and just order online.

    Everytime I order from petco they choose this location for my delieverys and I never get my deliveries correct. I always have to call and get a refund or wait days for the order. Its tiring. Not sure the staff is paying attention to what there doing there.

    This Petco’s mission is to lose as many customers as is humanly possible, while also treating caged animals as basically, unfairly and poorly as possible; compromising quality of life and overall customer satisfaction for max profitability. Their teen employees start kicking people out (all without making eye contact or saying ‘thank you’ ever) at 8:40pm but then as you hold 50lbs of stuff, will NOT acknowledge or check you out if it’s the last thing they’re paid to do. Zero customer care—frightening to imagine how that translates for the animals in their “care.” I have a 14 min video of the checkout line- it’s laughable what a joke it is with 4 workers dawdling joking standing around not helping me - waiting for me to walk out and not spend 117$ same every time really. 3 stars because they’re open 7 days/week and I need them when in a bind. Any good, quality pet food/supply stores in the area? Glad to boycott this spot and it’s systematic torturing of humans and animals and they don’t have to care as they’re still controlling the market putting every mom n pop shop out of business

    Worst place I’ve ever experienced with customer service and treating people decently. I went in for a grooming appointment and apparently the paperwork I had wasn’t accepted. As I’m letting the grooming supervisor know that they should specify exact paperwork requirements they need, she walks away mid conversation leaving to another room and as I’m leaving I hear the staff laugh and them saying get out. Will never buy anything from Petco if this is how they treat people who are coming here for the first time and first time dog owners who are still learning. The company seems to employee anyone and lets their clients get treated however. Won’t be recommending to anyone

    Bought an obedience school training package and honestly, you get what you pay for. The duration was six sessions. From the start it was a mismatched grouping of dogs. Clearly dogs who weren’t supposed to be in the beginners class. The first ten minutes of the classes were spent waiting for people to show. So much time was divided among the dogs and training that you only had five minutes to actually work with your dog. Scheduling the make up session was stressful and so far has not happened. If you are looking for a training program for your dog I would recommend looking elsewhere for more tailored and individualized instruction. The instructor, while knowledgeable , did not seem willing to take the time to train.

    It was nice and clean. It concerns me that some of the shelves were a bit sparse… Other than that, all was good. The cashier was attentive and very nice!

    It would’ve been nice to be informed of the reason why one vaccine cant be given or given an option. I really needed my pet to have his rabies shot for a trip and bc of the lack of communication he cant come with us. Highly unsatisfied customer.

    Listed as a happyreturn site. No happy returns at this location because they didn't get the happy return bags. You would think they would have a sign up to let you know, instead of having people wait on a long line. The worst part, is that they had a sign at register saying "happy return drop off". How much effort does it take to take down a paper sign? What a fail.

    I’m happy that they accommodated me but I was disappointed when I h bought $75 of the products to get the $15 off promotion instead the guy only gave me $5 off. I didn’t realized it till I got home when I came by a week later the store manager said that she can’t do anything about it. Maybe I should stay with Chewts instead. They still owe me $10. I don’t care how I get it. $10 off coupon or whatever

    It is in a very convenient location for me, has its own private parking, and they usually have what we need. The only downside to this store is that the shoppers at the shop are ignorant enough to leave piss all over the store and don't bother cleaning up after them.

    It has what I need and Nulo brand is finally in there too but the long line at the cashier is just frustrating. I feel bad for the cashiers as they're probably overwhelmed too. Best to buy online and just have things delivered.

    This store had what I was looking for today. But, the vaccine clinic was going on. I wish there was a way to organize things better so I didn't have to walk in and out around the large amount of people waiting for services.

    Loads of dead fish in their tanks and dead live aquatic plants (as in, shrivelled and mummified plants sitting in their plastic tubes, yet still out on display... they must have died at least several weeks ago and wasn't pulled from the shelf?). Basically wasted my time going to this branch, ended up going to another PetCo instead. Perhaps better for other pets?

    The sales associate who is also a trainer named Cesar provided great customer service. We are new to owning a dog and provided so much information and tips that would help us along the way. Its really hard to find associates who will go above and beyond to help the customer. We are extremely grateful. Will definitely only visit this location going forward. Thank you Cesar.

    I like coming here, the workers are super nice, helpful and pretty knowledgeable when I have questions. Most items are typically in stock, which is great; only on few occasions do they not have what I'm looking for. Something out of their control: that parking lot. Man, if it's busy just be prepared to have to finagle a spot because it's a very awkward lot and not everyone knows how to drive or park.

    I came her for my two dog bordertella vaccines. When the vet giving the medicine to my dog mouth. She injected the syringe so fast then the medicine splashed on the their exam desk. Two dogs same situation. How much medicine was wasted?! I gave two star because it’s nice store.

    The Petco groomers at the metropolitan Avenue store are just amazing.! They treat your dogs so kind and gentle. They are great with the pet owners too. The store itself is stocked. The employees are knowledgeable with the items in the store. This store will be my new go to.

    We got our 3 year old Papillon groomed with Jenny at this location. We were very happy about the 8am availability! Jenny was extremely informative and kind with our fur baby. We will be going back to her again she did an amazing job on our dog as long haired dogs like ours can be tricky. This was her first time being groomed and was well worth it so wont be the last!

    First grooming experience and it was a great experience. Petar was fantastic. Missy was very comfortable with him and he was so easy with her and me 😆. Missy had several knots and I thought she would have to get a close shave, but Petar really worked through the knots. Missy looks beautiful. Thank you!

    Found a kitten in the middle of the street. Of course all vets were closed, but I found a Petco they were open. I NEVER had to deal with fleas. As I dumped almost every flea product on the counter - I told the cashier why I was there. He was GREAT !! Helped me make healthy choices for the kitten. Next day I was back, found a flea on my housecat. Even though it was a different cashier, I still received extremely helpful information regarding older cats and fleas. I also saw other sales associates helping customers, not rushing them and taking time to answer their questions. Good store too- clean and well stocked. It also has a parking lot (which is a big plus). I recommend coming here for your pet's needs.

    Came here recently to buy some supplies for my new puppy, and we ran into a very sweet staff member who spoke to us for about literally 20 minutes regarding things he recommends we should pick up for our new dog. He even gave us the information for the trainer at the store who he mentioned has a whole bunch of well trained German shepherds. I wish I could remember his name, but he was a tall male who mentioned he also has a well trained dog that he crate trained (seemed like a manager). Aside from this, no complaints at all and I would return !

    Today was such a wonderful day not only because of the Splendid weather we’re having but also due to the superb customer service I received from Alexis at this location. From the moment I came into the store so she was busy with another customer but she was very observant saw that I needed assistance and I have the earliest convenience made her way over to help me. Alexis was very patient and very thorough; her suggestions and knowledge came in quite handy while helping me with my fish needs/concerns. She truly displayed exemplary customer care and although I live on the other side of Queens, I will gladly travel the distance to this location to receive her assistance. Thank you greatly

    Today is Saturday 9/25/21..I have been trying to schedule my last 2 sessions with my dog trainer Cory C. for the last 3 weeks. We left messages and he never answer..I got him this morning to let me know that his available time does not match ours with a nasty attitide...I told him I will speak to the manager he said : do so and hung ed up.

    Would not recommend this Petco. How are they gonna deny me my own employee discount, when I literally work for the company. It doesn't take a genius to verify if I work there.. I've never had this problem anywhere else, so these people really playing. I missed out on a lot of deals because they don't wanna use my ID smh 🤡

    I’m highly upset first time coming here. My grooming appointment was scheduled for 945 i arrived at 845 and expected place to open at 9 there were a whole bunch of irate customers in the parking lot saying that the place was yet to be open. The worker came at 935 and locked the door the place was not open until 10 am. I know situations happen but a text would have suffice. I missed a whole day of work very bad customer service
