I swung by The Westbury on a Sunday afternoon and was very happy to have discovered this Irish pub! What stood out about this spot was the very friendly bartender who took my order. She was super nice and talkative. The bar itself is pretty spacious with a massive counter bar and seating in the front and back. The menu had some authentic Irish dishes and a variety of beer which is always nice. I ordered the shepherds pie which was very delicious. They had other items on the menu which I've never had before such as the bacon butty. Next time! Pro-tip: If you are seeking a pub that shows Irish tournaments such as hurling then The Westbury is the place to be!

Very pleasant atmosphere. Popular place but they found a table for us. The staff is wonderful, polite, thank you for such a good attitude. The food is very tasty, we were satisfied and full. The cider and beer were delicious. We really enjoyed

Visited this pub multiple times on a recent trip to New York. Food is just unreal. Highly recommend the spice bag and bbq wings. A special shout-out to the handsome bartender Rory who served us and is an amazing asset to the pub.

Great clean and cozy place to hang out and get some food and drinks. On warm sunny days the front large windows are open, sports are on tv, and good music plays in between. Rachel at the bar was friendly and welcoming. The beer tasted really fresh and delicious. The fish and chips were crunchy with a warm savory inside. What else can you ask for.

I came here on a weeknight with a bunch of friends . Got a pint if Guinness on tap. Ordered the fish and chips . Really good fries but the fish tasted like the frozen supermarket fish sticks that come in a box. For $23 I think they should have been the real deal. On top of that the server gave herself a 20% tip. I think the customer should decide on what tip to leave. I don’t think that tip was earned as we couldn’t find a server and had to call her several times to come to our table. Never again for this dive bar.

This place was pretty good. We stopped for some drinks and a little bit to eat. A Guinness is $8.5 which I feel is reasonable for NYC. However, my diet cokes were four dollars each with no free refills which I wish I had been explained to me at the beginning since I was just drinking pop. My husband ordered the Irish breakfast which is $23 and it was a lot of food but in my opinion probably not worth the price. The ambience was nice and for the most part the service was pretty good, but this was nothing special to write home about so I probably won’t go again.

Came here after a tiring holiday crawl down 5th av/Rock Center to get some warming pub food. The atmosphere is chill and it was decorated with Christmas decoration (really love when pubs do that!) We ordered the Shepherd's Pie and it was a good solid option. I am giving 4 stars because the service was pretty slow and we had to call our waiter over several times. I think she was the only one working on a Sunday though. I would imagine service would be quicker on busier days.

Great golf themed Irish Pub. Food was spot on and the Guinness was cold. Selection of whiskeys and scotch were good not great, but I'd definitely drink here again.

Walking in here was like walking into a pice of Ireland. The food is authentic and delicious, the drinks crisp fresh and on theme. Don’t overlook this place for happy hour at $7 a draft for premium beer.

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating (shoutout to Deb and Connor X 2). The Westbury is unique from any NYC Irish Pub I’ve seen lately in that it’s clean, spacious, serves above average food, and nicely decorated. Edit: I have to add, they keep their lines clean. Other pubs in the area do not, and you end up with a “sour” Guinness.

A snug and cozy little pub, the Westbury, like Blaggards on the same block, has pretty good lunch specials. I recommend sitting at the bar to interact with the bartender, as they were very friendly to us on our first time there. The decorations at the time were also around the holidays, so there were lights and Christmas items strewn about inside. The food is pretty good, and their chips are nice and thickly sliced. It is decently crispy. The fish that came with was only thinly breaded, which was a nice surprise. They also make pretty good cocktails. There is also a nice selection of other typical gastropub-like food on their menu. Overall, not a bad spot for the local salary people to come for lunch. For the usual sports event periods, it can get very crowded.

It is a very lovely place. I went there at the best time of the year - St. Patrick's Day: The atmosphere was great. The services were incredible. The food - Irish Full Breakfast - was awesome.. I missed out on the Irish coffee because I can't drink coffee or alcohol 🫣🫣.

We will definitely go back. It wasn't my favorite fish and chips, but the Sunday roast beef dinner was amazing. The beer was great.

I have by no means sampled them all but reckon this is the best Irish bar in Midtown. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good Guinness, tasty spiked apple cider and the staple of Irish bars everywhere, a cheese toasty, can't go wrong!

They have variety of beers and nice environment, but do not eat there! We were so hungry, just couldn’t go somewhere else and ate whatever they brought. The worst burger I have ever had in my life. First, it was burned, and second - no taste at all. We felt vomiting after getting our burgers. Do not rescue your health and do not eat anything here!

Met a buddy and his friend for drinks while in town for NRF. Found seats at the bar and drank for a few hours. The Guinness was fresh and the Service was great. The fries were delicious. No idea what the golf them was but it was great. Will be back.

We were here for a private event. The atmosphere was electric, the food was standard and the bar service was good (I found this to be average in NYC everywhere, alot of waiting around). The manager was very accommodating and his staff were worked hard to be fair! There were 120 of us!

Food was excellent! We dined in the back which was lovely, but if you just wanted drinks or to sit at the bar there was plenty of room available! Will be back!

Wife & I just tried this place — our traditional testing items: bangers & mash and shepherd’s pie. Their b&m is in my top 2 in midtown and pie is in wife’s top 2 in midtown. Conor was friendly, as well was the staff member bussing our table. Friday night is dj night, and the back was quite loud, but the volume closer to the door was fine for a weekend night. Back is more traditional restaurant seating, while the front is a more traditional pub setting, so I was happy to be closer to the front on all fronts. Will definitely be back to start working our way through the rest of the menu.

Super relaxing atmosphere on a Saturday night. Friendly and efficient service. The vegetable stew was just what I wanted, hearty and healthy. My friend got the spring rolls and curry fires and loved them, nice quality. Nice choices of beer, wine, liquor. Good music too. Will be back!

My daughter and I went on a weekday about 2:30, so we were the only customers at a table. We enjoyed our appetizers and meal; it is bar food with a different slant (Irish + egg rolls ha-ha-ha). The price for our btl of wine (Josh) was worth it. The bartender was gracious and funny. They have a piano and intend to offer jazz listening on Thursday nights. The dining or table area is smaller. (It's not a beer hall). I'm guessing most customers hang out at the longer bar. We intended to go to Blaggard's 2 doors down, but it didn't open; covid or flu I guess. Slainte! (Cheers!)

First time I've ever been to an Irish bar in the United States where I was the only American and the rest were all from Ireland! DJ kept great music playing all night. Irish stew was a satisfying meal after a long day. Great place!

Been here a few times when I'm in the neighborhood and always exceeds expectations. Comfortable interior, lighting and decor. Awesome, friendly staff and menu. Highly recommend.

The Westbury is a fairly standard Irish-style pub. The beers on tap are fine, but not too adventurous. The same with the food, which isn't bad but not phenomenal either. If you want a pub experience, there are better places in New York you can go.

Great bar with quality drinks and excellent bar food. Nice staff and perfect midtown location. It's great that they have a semi-private 2nd floor.

Order was messed up from the start. My "Give them hell burger" had a ridiculous amount of seasoning salt poured on it. Really felt like the staff just didn't care.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food and drinks were good. I'm a Construction worker working across the street at the old Lord and Taylor building. We had our Christmas party at the Westbury and it was very nice. I would recommend. 👌

This place was lovely and the staff friendly. I had the Irish chicken curry which came with 1/2 rice and 1/2 chips and was very tasty. The portion size was ideal too. We felt that the price of our pretty standard gins were a little steep.

Best pint of Guinness in New York. Great cocktails, inviting atmosphere, attentive service. You must visit this place. The owner now has two great go-to spots in Manhattan (The Long Hall being the other). Fantastic experience!

We held an event at the Westbury last night and it was fantastic. The staff was so responsive in reserving tables for us and working with us. Service was excellent, the food was great and the vibe was so friendly. This Irish pub is a bit nicer than other Irish pubs while still maintaining its authenticity. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. The staff went truly above and beyond. Plus trivia night was so fun.
