10⭐️is what they deserve. 🍗🍖🥩. Tip: save some leftovers for the brisket and ribs. They will taste even better!!! One of my top 5 favorite restaurants in New York City. The food is extremely delicious and also tastes great the next morning. We had the ribs, the moist brisket, bbq chicken, sausage macaroni and cheese, cole slaw and the sweet potato. Everything was bursting with flavor. The service was quick and friendly. I will definitely return for a special occasion.

Love this place! Great atmosphere and very good food. It’s definitely not the fine dining experience but it’s hearty and good food. The meats & sides have to be collected at individual points, the drinks are served. All the meats were delicious, especially the Brisket. The same holds true for the sides, from coleslaw, collard greens to mac‘n‘cheese. The drinks were great too. This place definitely wins with its atmosphere - great live music, nice decoration and lots of Texas vibes! 🤘🏼

This place was not too bad. Chopped brisket sandwich was almost legit. The sauce was interesting. Normally Texas BBQ sauce isn't sweet and has a bit of spice. Also TX BBQ never puts enough sauce on the sandwich for my taste. This place, their sauce is a weird sweet/tangy that my brain wasn't expecting. It wasn't bad, it's just not a standard TX sauce. It took my brain a few bites to adjust to it. The other thing this place did was added plenty of sauce to the meat so there was no need for extra. This is my preference. The corn muffins were also very very good with their special butter. The UT game was on and the had 2 kinda of Shiner!

If you go in the day/lunch time then you'll get great food. But towards the end of the night, the quality really suffers. The restaurant struggles to either serve hot sides or moist meat by the end of the night. This is a 9/10 barbecue joint with incredible corn pudding during the day arguably even 10/10, moist brisket and surprisingly good chicken - it really is something uniquely special, but past ~7.30pm, it really struggles with quality. This is the 6th time I've been now, 3rd time I've been in the evening, and 3rd time I've been disappointed with the same faults - I've mention to the staff every time to pass to management as politely as I can but who knows if it ever gets back to them. I will be coming back in future for sure, but likely just in the day!

Probably one of the best BBQ spots in NYC. Speedy service, great meats. We ordered lean brisket and ribs, both perfect. The atmosphere is also great. Very reasonable priced. Highly recommend !!!

Came here for lunch and had a good sandwich meal that came with a free side - brisket sandwich was good as was the hot link! Don’t miss out on the sauces on the tables. It’s a huge space so it can feel empty in the day but maybe it becomes more busy in the evening !

Best brisket I’ve had on Manhattan (only the moist one - be reasonable!), pickles and mac’n’cheese were also great. Wide selection of beers, tasty sauces (would be nice to have them a tiny bit less liquid though). Interior is somewhat typical, but well-made, spacious and woody. This huge star at the entrance brings you back to both: Texas and Kremlin!

Food is avg at best! brisket and aged beef were dry and cold. Didn’t taste any smoke in them honestly. Tacos are tiny but they tasted better than the meat alone. I loved the pickles so much I asked for more. We didn’t get our tacos and fries and the waitress kept checking on us few times to see if we got them. The tacos came in soggy and cold! dont expect much the food is not worth it at all. Lindsey was awesome and attentive she took care of us regardless !

OK- The "Harrison" (John Harrison) side of Harrison Grandelli is speaking up here. I grew up in Austin, Texas which is in the "Hill Country" of Texas. We love our brisket, sausage, ribs, etc. Not only does Hill Country do a great job of bringing in some Texas flavor with the meat but they have an amazing mac'n cheese which I have tried to copycat multiple times. Their ritas are great, too. This is a definite place you need to visit!

Yum. Great bbq. Reasonable prices. Live music downstairs. Also the drinks are good. Favorite dishes were the chicken, brisket, mac and cheese, pickles, and cornbread. There was too much fat on the ribs for my taste, the sausage tasted like bleach, and the collared greens were not that flavorful. But overall I enjoyed the meal a lot and it reminded me of being in Nashville or Texas.

this is the first bbq spot i’ve tried in the city and i was not disappointed. i ordered the fatty (moist) brisket, mac n cheese, and collared greens. the brisket was the highlight of the meal. it was very juicy, had a tender texture, and had a nice char to it. the meat was well seasoned and had good fat marbling/ratio. the mac n cheese was decent. i didn’t really like their use of penne pasta but that’s my only complaint. the collared greens were tasty and are typically my go-to choice for a meat pairing. overall a pretty good spot if you’re craving bbq in the city.

We were just walking around downtown looking for something to eat and came across this gem! It was four of so we got the platter that had brisket, ribs, chicken, 2 sausages and 3 large sides (baked beans, potato salad and Mac and cheese) all the bbq was tasty and seasoned well. What makes this place better than some of the rest is the sides. Was the sides spectacular no but for a bbq place they all were very decent, some places spend all their effort on the bbq but the sides be lacking, not here. I would definitely go back.

Great food, great service, what more could you ask for, especially in the middle of Manhattan? The brisket is moist, the ribs are delicious and the baked beans with burnt ends are amazing. Oh and their pickled onions and cucumber mix is out of this world. I've been a few times over the years but most recently came for my Moms bday. She had a blast and they made her meal extra special!

It’s the best Texas BBQ spot. I absolutely love this place. There is a good atmosphere, friendly staff and great meal. We ordered pork ribs, beef brisket and French fries which were very delicious. As for dessert we ordered banana pudding, it’s excellent. They have the best drink that we hadn’t found for a while it’s called Michelada. The price is reasonable. Highly recommend!

Popped in on a Sunday w a friend late afternoon. The food was bangin. Hot, full of flavor and texture. The place was relatively empty so it was surprising why the service was slow…but will wait for good food!

For those who like BBQ-style dinners with large groups, this is the best place around. I haven't been there on a Live music night but this homegrown Texas barbecue place offers nice live shows every other day. It has high ceilings and pretty comfy searing area. I love their sauce, nachos and wide selection of Texas style cocktails.

The food here was really good, exactly what I expecte having never had Texas style BBQ. The service was great, never felt like I was waiting for someone. Shout to Eric, cool dude. Great vibe and good live music, was as a bit loud but it added to the vibe. Would definitely would eat here again if we weren't leaving in a few days. That said... I will caution you, the lemonade 🍋 was sweet AF, we watered it down twice and it was still too sweet. I felt it in my chest...

Great BBQ spot and amazing service! I went with a group and we ordered a good sampling of the menu. All of it was fantastic, but the turkey breast in particular was a surprise stand out. The margaritas were great as well. Our server was incredibly knowledgable and provided us with excellent recommendations and wonderful service. Highly recommend if you are looking for a tasty bbq spot in NYC!

Well-placed restaurant in the heart of New York. Very nice, typical American restaurant. The meat was fantastic, both the Brisket and the Ribs. Of the side dishes, I'd highlight the mac&cheese. Friendly staff. Fun atmosphere even though it's at half gas. I recommend the experience.

Very nice place in the heart of Manhattan, close to flatiron. Bbq Texan style with the food that is really good. Brisket (I suggest the moist one) is very good, pulled pork is delicious and the ribs are a must have! Sides are good and pricing is aligned with expectations, that is great! Service is great. Place can get quite packed after 6:30pm even on a Thursday. Wait time should not be bad as the service is quick but booking a table is a safe choice!

I appreciated the well-prepared meat and tasty sides, including red beans and mac & cheese. The service was efficient and polite. Worth a visit for a decent barbecue meal.

We stopped by Hill Country to pick up brisket and short ribs to take home to watch the Super Bowl. They have long been a favorite for juicy brisket, meaty short ribs, and tasty sausage. Could have done without the condescending attitude from what appeared to be a supervisor behind the counter. Everyone else was lovely. The burnt ends didn’t seem like real burnt ends and more like leftovers that were cubed up for sale. Regardless, we won’t be deterred and will always return for my husband’s brisket fix.

Absolutely delicious! The Turkey Club was huge and cost $13. If you are looking for a great casual, $15-$25pp eatery don't skip this one. I would recommend trying to get some reservations though.

Hill Country is a no-fail BBQ spot. I've been a few times, and the service, food, and atmosphere are always on point. Honestly, no matter what you have, you won't be disappointed.

Came to this spot for a staff outing and it was such a great choice. We started with the loaded nachos, which were so good! I had the baby kale salad and it was divine with nice chucks of chicken. The staff were really great & the happy hour was also good. Highly recommend!

What a delicious food. We are a Hollywood Smile Photo Booth and we had a corporate event here last night. It feels very cozy here. Photo Booth was a great addition to the party.

Had the chopped brisket sandwich and potato salad. I would prefer the brisket not drowned in so much sauce. It was a shame considering it was quite nice. The potato salad was comfortable and pleasant.
